Twelve hours. No Names. No promises. Only passion.
Charlie
After a disastrous job interview, I crash a stranger's wedding, desperate for distraction.
Instead, the universe delivers him. The most gorgeous man I’ve ever seen.
Before I know it, we’re in his hotel room. Our clothes come off.
And next… wow. Just wow. It’s never been like this. So often. So intense. Such toe-curling pleasure.
We agree not to share names or identifying details.
The anonymity is thrilling, and tomorrow we’ll go our separate ways.
Even if the twelve hours I spend with him are the hottest of my life.
Leif
Her smile draws me in. Our obvious chemistry hooks me.
The way she settles something inside me makes me stay.
Plus, she doesn't know I'm a professional hockey player.
It's nice to be wanted for me, not my job and my salary.
Somehow, she's got me confessing my deepest secret…
The one I've never spoken aloud before.
And between the sheets—and in front of the mirror, and in the shower—we're electric.
But I get on a plane early tomorrow morning.
So I walk away, even if it’s one of the hardest things I've ever done.
An anonymous night of distraction becomes a craving neither can deny in Puck Me Tonight. This spicy hockey romance prequel kicks off a brand-new series perfect for fans of Ainsley Booth and Chelsea Curto. One-click to get this delicious novella now.
***There is NO happily ever after in this novella—Leif & Charlie’s story continues in Pucking Tempest, where they will get their HEA.
Liz has been concocting stories as long as she can remember, and from the beginning they involved two people falling in love.
When she's not writing, she spends her time rooting for the UW Badgers and the Green Bay Packers (or yearning for the return of football season), cross-stitching and embroidering sassy sayings or nerdy characters (Wonder Woman is her favorite), and drinking too much Diet Coke.
She lives in Milwaukee, WI, with her husband, two kids, three cats, and a turtle.
Puck Me Tonight is so much spice and angst. What’s supposed to be one night only leads to a lot of feelings, and what looks to be a miscommunication.
This is the prequel to Pucking Tempest, and is the story of how Leif and Charlie found each other, and let each other go. I can’t wait to read their book, there is so much instant chemistry and feelings between the two. So the end of this prequel has left me so sad and anxious.
The spice is delicious and it’s full of so much sweetness! So now to wait for fate to take hold of them!
"Puck Me Tonight" by Liz Lincoln is a short, steamy novella that hits all the right notes for a quick, addictive read. Twelve hours, zero names, and a chemistry that practically jumps off the page—Charlie and Leif’s connection is electric. The story is intense and unapologetically sexy, with enough tension to leave you craving the next installment. If you’re looking for a fast, fun, and spicy romance with a hint of hockey glamour, this one is a must-read.
Oh the spice was spicy with this prequel!! Anonymous ONS where she gives him her number but accidentally gives the wrong number in the heat of the moment! Definitely sets the mood for book 1!! Which I’ve already downloaded! Bring. It. On!!!

This spicy hockey romance prequel kicks off a brand-new series perfect for fans of Ainsley Booth and Chelsea Curto. 🩵Review- Even though this was a short prequel novella (before we get into the series), it certainly packs a punch. I'm loving all the hockey romance novels that are around at the moment and Puck Me Tonight certainly didn't disappoint. From their very first eye contact I knew that Charlie and Leif's chemistry would be off the charts with plenty of spicy scenes. From the very first page I was hooked and I kept reading until the end as I wanted to know what happened with Charlie and Leif. I'm already eager to read the first book in the series so that I can continue the series. I highly recommend it. 💝 Thank you to the author Liz Lincoln and Aubrey Spivey for my arc ebook copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
Puck Me Tonight by Liz Lincoln is an absolute firework of a prequel novella that serves as the perfect introduction to the Milwaukee Serpents hockey romance series. This was my first time reading this author, and I am officially hooked. The story follows Charlie and Leif, two people who have both had disastrous days and decide to find solace in an anonymous, twelve-hour one-night stand. With a "no names, no promises" agreement, they crash a wedding and end up back at a hotel for a night of electric, toe-curling passion that is high on spice and even higher on chemistry.
What makes this story stand out is the depth tucked inside the heat. It features fantastic bisexual representation and inclusive "bi for bi" dynamics, alongside relatable chronic illness representation involving severe allergies and asthma. Leif, a professional hockey player, finds comfort in being wanted for who he is rather than his salary, eventually confessing secrets he’s never told anyone else. Meanwhile, Charlie finds a level of intensity and connection she never expected. Their "twelve hours of passion" in the shower, the bedroom, and everywhere in between is nothing short of steamy, but it’s the emotional hook that truly grips you.
The ending had me practically screaming because the connection between them is so strong that walking away seems impossible. It perfectly sets the stage for their full-length story, Pucking Tempest, where they finally get their happily ever after. If the rest of this series maintains this level of chemistry and heart, I couldn’t be happier. It’s a fast, intense, and incredibly sexy read that has me counting down the days until February for the next installment.
So. Much. Spice. From the second chapter all the way to the very last page—this book did not hold back. The chemistry between the characters was intense, addictive, and honestly exactly the kind of energy I crave in a spicy romance. Every scene was packed with tension, heat, and that delicious “can’t-turn-the-page-fast-enough” feeling.
The spice wasn’t just thrown in for shock value either—it fit the characters, it fit the pacing, and it fit the story. It felt earned and intentional, and it absolutely delivered. The chemistry? I was 100% here for it. The attraction, the build-up, the payoff—all of it had me kicking my feet like a chaotic little reader goblin.
As my first read from this author, this book was such a fun and fiery introduction. The writing style was smooth, the pacing kept me engaged, and the overall vibe made it incredibly easy to get hooked. If this is how the author handles spice and chemistry right out of the gate, then I already know I’m in for a good time with the rest of their books.
And now? On to the next one—because I need more immediately.
Puck me Tonight is the prequel of a new hockey romance series (the Milwaukee Serpents) and the beginning of Charlie and Leif's story. They’ve both had a rough day and agree on having an anonymous one-night stand. But they didn't expect to have such a strong connection right from the start, or so SO much chemistry.
~~We kiss like we didn't just f4ck our brains out. Like we're teenagers who need to get in all the making out we can before our parents get home. Like we're two lonely souls who, even if only for tonight, found a connection we desperately need.~~
Their love story continues in Pucking Tempest (book #1), where they get their happily ever after. If the rest of the series will be anything like this, I couldn’t be happier. This has allll the spice you could ask for, and more.
I received an arc of this book from the author, and this is my voluntary and honest opinion.
Two strangers crash the same wedding out of sheer boredom and end up sharing a spark they can’t ignore. One playful conversation leads to a spontaneous decision to spend the night together — no expectations, no strings. As laughter turns into something more, they agree on one rule: no names, no personal details, no reality beyond this one perfect night. But as the hours pass and their connection deepens, they’re left wondering if one unforgettable evening could ever be enough.
This 138-page read follows one intense, unforgettable night between two people with amazing chemistry. When morning comes, they have to say goodbye, leaving you wondering what will happen next. There’s no happily ever after in this book, which makes you want to pick up the next one straight away — but I really enjoyed it. What a delicious smut fest !

This is a prequel to Pucking Temptest that will be coming out in February. I thought this was a great start to this series! You will blush, swooning, and smile through out this book. This is a quick read and I can't wait to read the next book.
Charlie and Leif meet at a hotel while she's crashing a wedding and he's on his way back from wondering around trying to forget the day. But they could feel a deep connection instantly and wanted to make each others crappy day better.
I loved the chemistry these two have and I can't wait to see where it goes in the next book. I definitely recommend this book! Grab this book and get ready to enjoy the Milwaukee Serpents Hockey Romance Series in February!
Thank you Liz Lincoln for allowing me to read this ARC for my honest opinion.
"Twelve hours. No Names. No promises. Only passion."
I literally couldn't put it down. Liz always does such an amazing job writing extremely descriptive scenes and finding just the right words to pull you in emotionally, touching on real life relatable storylines. This book plays on all the emotions of a young woman finding her own way while entangling with a man who's always been career driven with limited time for emotional engagement. They left me wrecked and wanting more.
I can't wait to read more of Leif and Charlie's story in Pucking Tempest. This book was a tease in all the right ways.
In this spicy novella we get the back story on how and where Leif and Charlie meet! They're both in LA staying in a hotel for different reasons and are both having a bad night. After a chance encounter, they share a quick, intense connection and a scorching hot ONS. Hours of insane chemistry and spice that will have you sweating like a sinner in church! 🥵I couldn’t put this down! Despite not having a happy ending, it sets up for their book Pucking Tempest. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Tropes: Insta-Lust Insta-Connection Hockey Player in a Rut FMC struggling getting her dream job No Names Shared One Night Stand He Keeps her Underwear
Charlie meets Leif in the lobby of their hotel. She's nursing her bruised pride by crashing a wedding hoping to flirt and forget. He's preoccupied with thoughts about his future in hockey. Their obvious chemistry leads to a one-night stand. But that's only the beginning...
Read if you like: -Insta Love -Prequels
I normally struggle with the insta love in a bubble trope, so knowing that this one-night stand novella is followed by a full-length novel for Charlie and Leif made it a lot easier for me to get on board with what was happening. That their chemistry was off the charts helped too, because phew! *fans self* They lit up the page.
I hate to sound judgy, but I don't understand why Charlie would choose such a revealing dress for an event with her potential bosses. In one chapter, we're told the front dips lower than the back and then later we're told the V at the back of the dress ends "right at the curve of [her] ass." How low does the front V go then?? In any case, why wasn't she concerned that they wouldn't take her seriously? At least she realized it wasn't the brightest idea after the fact.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Nooo!!! I cannot possibly wait until Feb 12, in “Pucking Tempest”, for the full story of Charlie & Leif! This prequel novella is exactly what it promises: 130 pages of wild smeggsy time…. Well ok… 10% story and 90% one night stand. There is a crashed wedding, connections, multiple screaming O’s, and a “oh my forking gosh you didn’t” at the end. 🌶️🌶️/5 peppers. Pretty standard smeggsy time, just TONS of it.
This does not leave off on a HEA, that is saved for the next book. When a one night stand turns into catching feelings. They both had rough days, and caught each other’s eye. Their connection was automatic but with no names, numbers exchanged it was suppose to be kept nice and light. But turned out to be so much more. I can’t wait to see how this is going to play into the next book.
This is a free and honest ARC review. ARC book was provided by the author
Wow this prequel sets the bar high for this series. Ending in an oh shit moment that leaves you begging for more. A perfect beginning and introduction to your leading characters for the series start. Charlie and Leif are wonderful and have undeniable chemistry. From that first look across the crowded room, you just know they were going to be explosive in their chemistry. I loved them and can’t wait to see how this new series goes.
This was a long novella prequel but really gives insight and set up for the actual book. This shows us the connection from the very second they laid eyes on each other and takes us through the entire night. It's not just all about the s.e.x., but their real selves and opening up about things they probably wouldn't tell anyone else. Great set up for Pucking Tempest.
This prequel novella is just straight fire. I was here for all of it. A one night stand hockey romance that just gripped me and phew boy did not let go.
I was screaming at the end because I can’t wait til February for the full book one to come out. So good. This is my first book by this author and so glad I read!
I received this as an ARC and this is my honest review!
If you want to read about instant connection and how small the world can be this is the book for you. I love a book hero who has the balance of sweet but strong. Mhmmmm. Can’t wait for book 2!
Wow, that was so hot!!! I can't wait for the rest of their story. I think it will burn the pages of any book from the friction between these 2. Impatiently waiting for the next book.
For fans of Emily Rath, this indie is such a fun novella to introduce our main characters. Undeniable chemistry draws Charlie and Leif together in an anonymous one-night stand. Twelve hours, no names, no immediate info about jobs, etc. But when the two realize the pull between them, Charlie shares her phone number, only for Leif's texts to go unanswered.
A perfect opener for a fun, new hockey romance series from Liz Lincoln, this novella sets the stage for all the chemistry, background, and workplace info we'll need in Pucking Tempest while also delivering incredible spice that will leave you wanting.
Puck Me Tonight by Liz Lincoln Y'all, this Prequel is FIRE! Things I am here for: Bisexual representation! Bi for Bi in this story! Chronic Illness Representation: severe allergies and asthma (y’all know I'm bad at breathing and us asthma girlies don't get a lot of representation 🫁) Absolute Fated Mates / Soul Mates / Instalove I don't know how Liz Lincoln did it, but I COMPLETELY believe that these two are MEANT TO BE This is written in the author note, there is no HEA here, but they get it in the next book in the series
I received an advance review copy for free from the author, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
