A Celtic Pilgrimage That Takes You into Your Own Heart If you long to set out on an inner journey, this book is a map that will point you in the right direction. Its simple and practical meditation techniques from Celtic and other ancient traditions make use of your breath, Nature, scripture, and prayer words. Just as the Celts set out on long voyages of discovery, you will find the road that leads you to spiritual adventure—and the Image of God that is the light in the center of your being. "If you have not yet begun to meditate, I implore you by the love of our Lord, not to deprive yourself of so great a good. There is nothing to be afraid of; there is everything to gain." -Teresa of Avila
Good but when the author has a chapter about the Jesus Prayer it would have been nice to mention its origin in the Eastern churches and talked about the connections between them and the early Celtic Christians.
A lovely introduction to contemplative prayer with leanings on Celtic spirituality. A book with practical tips and exercises to deepen your experience. Great starting point for ‘beginners’ too.
