This is an easy-to-understand book with strategies to create better habits. It discusses mindset, environment, and the importance of consistency via small incremental steps. The book emphasizes that motivation alone isn’t enough; you need structure and environmental cues to succeed.
However, the claim that habits form in 30 days is VERY optimistic. Research suggests that most habits take 60+ days to stick. Use the 30 days as a starting framework, not a strict timeline.
I highly recommend it, but encourage readers to set realistic expectations and use tools like phone reminders to stay on track. This is definitely an excellent resource.
This book is filled with sage wisdom to help rewire the brain. The author delves into neuroplasticity and how small changes can add up over time. I liked the idea of not focusing on an outcome goal, but on life changes. I also thought the concept of shiny object syndrome was interesting - dropping one fad health kick for another. And the two minute rule to accomplish small parts of your goal on a daily basis was really insightful.
I liked this book, there is one sentence I quote "This is why someone who starts by walking for two minutes a day can end up running marathons or why someone who starts by writing one sentence a day can publish a book", this is true, I live with this, I am a slow person, however the habits helped me to reach several of my goals. I hope you guys enjoy this book, interesting points to get them from this book.
The evolution of implementing a lifestyle change into your daily routine is not difficult if you commit to the methods as outlined by The Habit Method. This book is well written and provides easy to read advice on staying the course. I thought his insight on how to adapt your routine when traveling was spot on. A new environment only means a change in location or maybe the time of day. You control your habits.
While a lot of this are concepts I’ve heard before I still really got a lot of value from this book. The information is detailed yet easy to consume which makes retention of everything easy as well. And there are definitely a couple new bits information and tips that I hadn’t heard before so I’m going to put those into practice.
