Connor by Samantha Young
I anticipated having fun, but I never expected it to be this enjoyable! I truly loved this story and found myself wanting more once it concluded. I am eager to dive into more works by this author and within this series. The audio experience was fantastic; the actors truly brought these characters to life.
This tale is filled with danger, unexpected twists, and just the right amount of mystery to keep the pages turning. At the same time, the author allows her characters the room to develop and evolve, making the emotional rewards all the more gratifying.
If you appreciate protective leads with a tender side hidden beneath layers of toughness, strong heroines who stand their ground, and engaging romantic suspense infused with passion and heart, then Connor is definitely a must-read.
It’s fast-paced, steamy, and just a touch dangerous—exactly how I enjoy my book boyfriends!

Connor is exactly the kind of protective-but-tormented character that pulls you in and refuses to let go. He’s got that intense energy—like you never quite know what he’s going to do next—and it keeps the tension high in the best way. And then there’s the romance. Whew. The chemistry between Connor & Daisy is off the charts. You feel it. There’s heat, banter, and real emotional stakes underneath it all.
Samantha Skye knows how to pace a story. There’s danger, twists, and just enough mystery to keep the pages turning. At the same time, she gives her characters space to breathe and grow, which makes the emotional payoff way more satisfying.
If you like protective leads with a soft side buried under layers of grit, strong heroines who don’t back down, and some good romantic suspense with spice and heart, Connor is absolutely worth the read.

Update!!
I just listened to the audiobook of this and if I could give it a million stars I would! The way the characters were brought to life was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!! The tension and the hate to love was unbelievable hot! And Sean Masters as Connor was the perfect voice!! Every time he said “baby girl” or a naughty word I had to make sure no one was around because it was so hot I was blushing! Also Willa Jaymes as Daisy was the perfect voice and exactly how I pictured Daisy sounding!! 1000000/5 stars
Yall! We know I LOVEDD Tanner and Hudson but Connor might be my favorite!! I also am in love with Daisy!!
Her personality and her feisty attitude are my favorite! I also love how she wasn’t afraid to be a smart mouth to Connor when they first met lol!

I knew Connor's book would be good, but I never expected it to be THAT good. It totally caught me unprepared.
Connor and Daisy's first meeting happens when he goes to the city for a spa procedure that Victoria organized. He expected something totally different, not this feisty, gorgeous and sexy woman that couldn't stand him. Or at least it looks like it. The truth is that this woman - Daisy, has been attracted to him since the first moment. After their fiery interaction, he offers her to work for him and she agrees. But the real challenge only begins, because they have to overcome this insane desire and try not to be attracted to each other.
This is definitely the difficult part of their story. Because every single day they spend together, they fall in love. Yes, Connor did avoid admitting it, and he was more worried that, as her boss, it was not appropriate to be with her. But after seeing how good, down-to-earth and sexy she is, all the walls fall down. It is time for him to finally get what he deserves. Daisy definitely reciprocates his feelings. From the first moment she saw him, she had tried really hard to find her feelings. But he was impossible to resist. Being with him every day, she knows that he is different as a man and as a person. This made him even more attractive in her eyes. But they still needed to spend more time together to see if it was the perfect fit. This only proved to me how good they are for each other.
The love scenes in this book...OMG, they were so damn good. There was so much passion between them. The spice was superb, and I did spot a little bit of kink in some scenes 🥵. I really enjoyed this part of the book.
Overall, I really loved reading "Connor".

I am so excited to say that Sawyer will be next and I am beyond excited ot get to know him! BUUUTTTT Back to 🌸 Daisy 🌸 & 🥃 Connor 🥃. They deserve the spotlight for a little bit!
🌸 Daisy 🌸 is a holistic yoga and wellness therapist that lives in a small town and works with her mom in their wellness center. 💖 She 💖 has learned so much from her mom but also knows that there is more out there to be brought in and learned to make their business better. 🌸 Daisy 🌸 has had a less than stellar experience when it comes to men. But that doesn't mean 🥃 Connor 🥃 will fail at winning her heart. I loved 🌸 Daisy 🌸 and everything she brought to the book! A lot like myself and others 🌸 Daisy 🌸 isn't your usualy thin girly, she is plus sized and beautiful! 💖 She 💖 doesn't hide herself but she doesn't always put herself out there. When 🥃 Connor 🥃 comes around things change for her in a huge way! 💖 She 💖 doesn't shy away from him, but instead sticks to her guns. 💖 She 💖 learns that letting 🥃 Connor 🥃 in is just the beginning of a beautiful realtionship she never expected to have. 🌸 Daisy 🌸 learns how to let her hair down and how to let 🥃 Connor 🥃 truly love her for who she is, not for how she looks.

ALC in exchange for an honest review.
Book 3 in the Billionaires of Whispers series gives us Daisy & Connor's story. Connor is the son of Tanner, the main character from book 1 of this series, who still holds the spot as my favourite billionaire from this interconnected standalone series.
This is a strangers-to-lovers story about two people who, despite being opposites, complement each other well, and although they get off to a bit of a bumpy start, the attraction is instant, and it doesn't take long for them to cave to their chemistry.
Daisy's character gave strong "not like other girls" vibes, and I struggled with that throughout the book as it put me off her character a bit. Connor felt like the diet version of Tanner to me... a bit like fat-free ice cream, if you will; like you get the feel of having the real thing, but deep down you know it's not... Don't get me wrong, he is the growly, protective billionaire with a bit of a dirty mouth that I've come to expect from Samantha's writing, but his dad definitely did it better in my opinion. The drama towards the end of the book felt very telenovela-ish and unnecessary; it didn't add the tension I think the author intended, as there wasn't any real build-up to it woven throughout the rest of the book and felt like another story was shoehorned onto the end of what was overall an entertaining and enjoyable small-town, low-stakes romance.
The audiobook is brilliant, though; it is narrated by Willa Jaymes and Sean Masters, whose performances were fantastic. Both suited their roles well and did a great job portraying the characters and their story, and if you are wanting to give this book a try, then I highly recommend doing so in audio format. Audiobook releases on August 19th.🌶🌶

Another MMC in this series giving us some baby girl moments, yes please! The banter between Connor and Daisy in this book was pure gold and that slow burn was definitely burning! I couldn't get enough of the tension and loved those whiskey moments too! That little bit of a twist at the end had me angsty to finish listening to see how things would play out.

Easily the most forgettable book in the series so far. Even the spice fell flat, which is saying something. I’m usually into the woo woo side of things, but Daisy’s entire personality being reduced to her spirituality felt over the top. On the other side, Connor came across as nothing more than an insensitive nepo baby. Not much chemistry, not much payoff imo.

Oh, my Whispers loving heart devoured this audiobook and barely came up for air! Connor is book three in the Samantha Skye “Billionaires of Whispers” series and features the story of the Connor, and his love interest Daisy. This audio is performed in duet by Willa Jaymes and Sean Masters.
Connor is the son of Tanner, the titular character from book one. I was so glad the Sean reprised his role; his voice fits so seamlessly with these characters! Daisy (played by the immaculate Willa Jaymes) is probably one of my favorite FMCs of the series yet. She’s deliciously curvy and is the opposite of Connor in almost every way…and doesn’t that just make for the best love story?
Daisy and Connor have such intense chemistry, and it’s showcased so well in these performances. Connor meets Daisy at a wellness appointment of sorts; she’s a naturalist who runs a small homeopathic style business with her mother in the city. He’s on a scouting mission for ideas to bring back to the distillery to make for a more inclusive experience. Connor can sense Daisy’s worth immediately and bargains with her to come to Whispers with him to help generate ideas.
Sean and Willa are compatible performers, both as acting partners and as actors for the characters they portray. Sean’s delivery as Connor reflects how much Connor truly values Daisy; and likewise, Willa’s performance as Daisy radiates her sultry energy towards Connor. This was the type of audio that felt so visually alive in my mind as I listened — and that is a combination of both great writing and passionate performances.
My favorite part of this story is the evolution of Daisy and Connor’s relationship. It is a slow burn that is well worth the wait. Additionally, it is so satisfying for a softer bodied woman to be so happily desired; Willa does a fantastic job playing her vulnerability and Sean’s voice as Connor left no room for doubt — he is unequivocally obsessed with her body.
My favorite scenes? Daisy coaching Connor through some yoga moves and letting her mind wander to ideas of tantric love making. Additionally, the conversation Daisy has with Tanner about her blossoming love for Connor is a testament to the bond Connor has with his father. My heart is so full, I can’t wait for book four!

Connor is a billionaire romance set in the small town of Whispers. Connor owns a whiskey distillery and is wanting to open a spa onsite for visitors. Daisy works at Sunshine with her mother teaching yoga and providing spa treatments like a sound massages. Connor goes to Sunshine to try out a massage to better understand what he wants at his spa. It’s quite the meet cute with some fun meddling from Daisy’s mom. Connor was in for a surprise when the curvaceous Daisy put him to sleep with singing bowls and then impressed him with her business knowledge. He offered her a job on the spot to consult and help build the spa and wellness center at his distillery. This was a slower burn but it was engaging and well worth the wait. There was angst and hilarious banter. Ms. Skye has composed an idyllic small town with delightful and captivating characters. I couldn’t help but fall for Connor with his sweet yet dirty talking mouth and how he lifted Daisy up, literally and figuratively. I can honestly say I will try whiskey with the right man (iykyk) and gives me motivation to do more yoga. I love a plus size fmc but it did get repetitive with how Daisy’s curvy size was mentioned constantly. I thoroughly enjoyed Connor and Daisy’s story. It’s a lovely small town romance with spice and humor. Now I’m off to find Whispers and man like Connor for myself.

Like his father Connor brings the swoon and heat to his book. From the beginning we get to see Connor is a loyal and steadfast friend that will show up and support his friends. That how he ends up at a message and meets Daisy. Their first interaction was funny and full of banter. I loved how the tension was building from the beginning of the story. Daisy was a wonderful character with a passion for wellness and business. I loved how she found her confidence and that she didn’t let anyone walk all over her. Together Connor and Daisy were hot and their chemistry was off the charts. This book was definitely a slow burn and when it started burning it did not stop!
The audiobook is narrated in duet by Sean Masters and Willa Jaymes.

Another great book by Samantha. I fell in love with whispers in her book Hudson and I’m happy to report this was a great continuation. I love that the girls are all so different. This one was curvy and a hippie, so different from Connor himself. The plot twist seemed a bit far fetched but still could happen just would be a wild set of circumstances. Ultimately we’re all here for love and this story kept me wanting more from page 1 till the end! I can’t wait for more from Samantha!

Connor and Daisy’s story was amazing! I have been waiting for Connor’s story and it did not disappoint. Connor was exactly what Daisy needed. He immediately had feelings for Daisy and he was not going to be stopped. He saw every one of Daisy’s insecurities and made her feel beautiful just as she was.
Daisy was such a sweet and strong heroine and the perfect partner for Connor. This story had the perfect blend of sweetness, spice and suspense with some major twists!

I will admit that it took until probably 15% to get into this book. It was just a slow start and think it was due to Connor. He's exactly like his dad and he carries this air around him that screams I'm a billionaire and successful. He's the complete opposite of Daisy but deep down he's a charming, sweet country boy who lives dancing and taking care of his woman.
Their first meeting didn't quite go great(hence the arrogance and his first impression of her business) but that didn't stop the attraction from happening. These two build up with some fiery banter and tension. But that moment when it comes to a head is just perfection!! They are all over each other after that.
Daisy was raised by her hippie mom and they share a massage business together. She's all about using plants and herbs in tea and bringing out the best in you. This is why she's perfect for Connor. She's helps him relax and be stress free. Him in turn, helps her grow in her dreams and in life.
She calms his world and he opens hers up to possibilities she didn't know she could do. Daisy is such a fun character that you can't help but love! She fits in so well with the characters of Whispers. I just loved these two together. It might have been the tea or chakras lining up but either way these two just belong together. I'm really excited to keep reading this series cause it is that good!!

I loved Tanner and Connor doesn’t fall far from the tree in how much love I have for them. Connor’s caring nature in contrast with his brooding attitude is absolute perfection. Not only was the connection and banter between these two fantastic but their chemistry 😩 loved it. The spice was 🔥and again with the whiskey play, LOVED. I cannot wait for the next Whispers MMC!

The sparks between them are immediate and intense, but they’re both a little stubborn, which leads to some fiery (and funny) moments. Connor is clearly taken by Daisy, but keeps putting his foot in it, while Daisy struggles with her confidence. Watching them slowly open up to each other and finally give in to their chemistry is so satisfying - and very steamy!

CONNOR!!!! This man was wonderfully delicious. I loved him. and Daisy was so fun, and cool. I loved her fiery attitude with Connor but the fact her usual overall demeanor was well relaxed and zen. LOL. These two together were so fantastic. and that SUSPENCE always hits in the town of whispers. I loved it! **AUDIO UPDATE** MY GOODNESS were Sean Masters & Willa Jaymes PERFECT for these two! I loved the way they had so much chemistry and really took these characters story to the max. They each captured what these two characters were to perfection, and each situation they navigated with perfection as well. Loved it!

Connor's not really a spa day kind of guy, but he promised he'd go to this one so he can scope it out for inspiration for his family's own spa. Then Daisy saunters into his room and his heart beats faster and he can't make sense of what he's feeling. Then he opens his mouth and insults her and her clinic. Yikes. Yeah she's not going to take the consulting job he just offered her, is she? Or maybe she is, despite how much he bugs her, and despite how much she's attracted to him...
Daisy's got big ideas, contemporary ideas, for bringing her mother's wellness center/spa into the present, but her mom seems happy with the old-school thing she's got going on. Then a big, gorgeous billionaire walks in and starts immediately insulting her. The real nerve though? When he offers her a job after insulting her. She doesn't want to work with a rude, smug man, but she does want this job. She's going to take it and try to not fall for the man she's starting to see is not at all the jerk he was when she first met him.
Connor and Daisy are adorable. He may have given her a horrible first impression, but he soon showed his true personality and then she couldn't help but fall for him - in all his sweet, supportive and protective ways. Daisy was truly a flower in bloom in the right setting, one where Connor was her biggest cheerleader, someone who appreciated her intelligence and her dreams and wanted only for her to realize them. Their relationship was a true slow burn, with sizzling chemistry, and 2 people who deserved the happiness they finally achieved with each other. These billionaires in Whispers are intriguing, I can't wait for Sawyer's story next now.

Connor & Daisy... perfectly paired
CONNOR is the third installment in Samantha Skye's The Billionaires of Whispers series, and if you have read book one TANNER, then you'll realise that the apple hasn't fallen far from the tree. CONNOR is a small town, opposites attract, curvy heroine, he falls first, workplace romance which had terrific and flirty banter, undeniable chemistry, and sizzling het. Samantha Skye really does need to stop writing about these delicious billionaires and the women who bring them to their knees (NOT), because my favourite keeps changing.
Connor Whiteman, CFO of Whiteman Whiskey, meets Daisy Beckett when he attends her family's Spa/Wellness Centre. What he finds doesn't meet his expectations and gives Daisy some of his criticism, of course she fires back telling him about her ideas for the Centre that have been constantly rejected by her mother. Impressed with what she has to say Connor offers her a consulting position at the Spa which is currently being built at Whiteman Distillery, a position too good to refuse.
AGH!!!! Connor and Daisy are EVERYTHING!!! They are both stubborn, the animosity between them is rife, but so is the chemistry and attraction. From the moment he met her Connor was instantly taken aback, her voluptuous curves appealing to him, and he hates it when she tries to hide them. I loved that Connor took the time to learn about Daisy's craft and her interests. While Connor was smitten with Daisy, it took a while for her to admit her interest in him, but when she did ... the explosion between them was earth-shattering. Their slow burn relationship was perfect, their differing lifestyles a bonus making them the perfect pair.
As with the two previous books in this series, Tanner and Hudson, Samantha Skye has woven some drama and mystery into her story. It was not what I was expecting, but it allows for Connor to finally come to his senses about his feelings for Daisy. I loved the teasing of Connor by his dad, Tanner, the payback was definitely warranted. I thought Tanner was delicious, but Connor... WOW!!
A highly recommended read.

🎧 Audiobook review 🎧⚡ Spoilers might lie ahead—I usually like to talk shit about everything that goes down in these books

This was a rollercoaster of emotions for me... one moment it was boring, the next I was invested. One moment I was rolling my eyes, the next it was the most exciting thing ever. Then there were the times I felt checked out of the story, the times I skipped, the times I bit my nails in excitement, and the times Connor made my panties melt.
So I’ll say this: it’s rated lower mostly for personal reasons. I didn’t resonate at all with all the crystals and chakra talks and woo-woo stuff, and I wasn’t in the mood for a slow burn (I hate crossing the 50% mark and still no hanky-panky). Plus, it wasn’t as original as Tanner.
What I will say is that Daisy is a smart cookie. She is my favorite FMC in this billionaire of Whispers saga. I loved the fact that she was business-oriented and had as much drive for it as Connor did, so she was his equal in that sense. I liked how the insecurity and the plus size angle was explored—not over the top, not in a way that made Daisy weak, but in a way that made her appreciative of what Connor had to offer, since she had never been on the receiving end of all that attention, dedication, and love.
What I didn’t like? The kidnapping plot. I’m looking for a reprieve from the damsel-in-distress trope.
Now Connor… geeez, was he intense. When he decided Daisy was his, he went full steam ahead: obsessive, possessive, always there to help, to be around her, to long for her, to lust for her. I liked that he was a little beast in bed—took control, full steam ahead, sinful mouth… yes, daddy. (Sorry, but can you “yes, daddy” someone younger than you? :)) )
As far as the kidnapping plot from his point of view—damn, don’t we love a man who’s so obsessed with you he notices straight away something is wrong, rallies a whole town, security, law enforcement, has the president on standby for you, takes charge, hunts you down, and even takes a bullet for you?
My only Connor dislike is that he was, in some capacity, a clone of his father: the initial grumpiness with which he interacted with her, the “baby girls” (I didn’t mind hearing Sean Masters say that in my ear at all), the “his whiskey on her lady parts.”
Now, I will say… he did kinda love-bomb the shit out of her. But hey, we love a guy who knows what he wants and will stop at nothing to pound it. :))
The audiobook is duet style 10/10 and both narrators did a fantastic job...special shout out to my boo Sean Master, always a good time when he whispers in my ear...get it...Whispers?:)) aah I crack myself up.

This is book three in The Billionaires of Whispers series and it is Connor and Daisy’s story and omg it is definitely a must read. Daisy works at the Wellness Clinic with her mom but she wants so much more out of life but when she meets Connor who had arrived for a session with her everything goes downhill because he starts criticising her business which then puts them on the wrong foot and then to Daisy’s shock he offers her a job in Whispers as a consultant for there new spa that they are building and Daisy realised that she is in a crossroads of her life and decides to take a chance and except the job because it is only for a few months and the money involved will help her. Connor is a billionaire and runs the business with his father in Whispers and there latest adventure is to build a spa so he goes to Daisy’s Wellness Clinic to get some inspiration but when they meet he is totally captivated by her and her knowledge but unfortunately he can’t seem to stop constantly putting his foot in his mouth and saying the wrong things and then he surprised himself by offering her a job as a consultant with enough money to sweeten the deal. Connor and Daisy are really attracted to each other and there chemistry is off the charts hot but unfortunately they are both stubborn and rub each other up the wrong way and even though Connor wants Daisy she is a bit reluctant to go there as her confidence is so low being a plus size woman and when they eventually give into what they want they are totally explosive together and sparks fly all around them and can’t seem to keep there hands off each other and they also have a connection that is so strong and powerful which brings out the best in both of them. When danger arrives it is all hands on deck because Connor would do anything and everything possible to find Daisy and bring her home regardless of what he had to do or the consequences involved because she is his everything and her happiness and there future is the most important thing ever. There are twists and turns and many ups and downs along the way and I couldn’t put this book down as it was totally captivating while having me turning the pages to see what would happen next and also what the outcome would be for them in the end especially after everything that Connor and Daisy had been through. This book will take you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions and it was a really addictive story that I read in one sitting and it also kept my attention throughout. I can’t wait to read Sawyer the Lawyers story next.
