Chief Alejandro and Sammie have been there for each other since his wife, and her best friend, passed away years ago. They promised her they would look after each other. All these years later, they have kept that promise. But what happens when they both finally admit they have feelings for each other that go deeper than friendship? Will they take a chance on love? And to make it even harder for them, Sammie's ex-husband decides to show up after almost 10 years and tries to insert himself into the lives of her children. Sammie will do anything to protect them, and so will Alex.
This book is filled with so many amazing characters and a storyline that keeps you enthralled from the very first page. I couldn't put it down.
