Hana and Jackie have been best friends for years, connected through shared secrets, late-night confessions, and a spark between them that neither had dared to ignite. Until now. When a snowy, winter getaway with their husbands turns playful and steamy, lines begin to blur. Boundaries are tested. Desire takes over. And what was supposed to be a relaxing vacation becomes something far more intimate and far less innocent. And some doors, once opened, refuse to close again. Melt for Me is a spicy, emotional exploration of friendship, marriage, and the moment curiosity turns into desire.
I just messed up by reading this novella before the other 4 books in the series😅🤦🏻♀️ but it was sooo good that I'm reading them all from the start immediately!!!
4.5 ⭐️ I DID indeed melt. This book had me sweating! Two couples end up snowed in during their cabin trip and they sure do make the best of it. It was so good. I appreciated that it wasn’t straightforward. You had different feelings come into play. With books like this, we don’t often see this much honesty & communication. Also showing how you can be okay with something one moment and then change your mind the next. Conversations like this are so important.
This is my introduction to this author and I am a fan now. It’s connected to the Consumed series which I WILL be reading because I have to know who Michael is! He seems to be the source of Hana and Jackie’s trauma and they build a close bond because of it. Now don’t get me wrong, this absolutely can be a stand alone. If you’re looking for a quick smutty winter read, highly recommend! You’re not gonna be able go just walk away from it that easy though. You will want to know what these couples went through. I absolutely loved it!
Thank you so much to Cassandra Vega for this ARC in exchange for an honest review!
This was such a fun, spicy novella! Our two couples, Elliott and Jackie and Hana and Jack, meet up for a getaway at a cabin. It’s snowing like crazy, essentially snowing them in. Jackie and Hana went through a lot of traumatic stuff that occurs in the other books in this series. They have quite the bond forged in blood. Oh, and they also happen to have feelings for each other.
Hana and Jack like to play with other couples and it’s only a matter of time before Elliott and Jackie agree to give it a chance with them.
The rest of this novella follows our couples experimenting during their holiday secluded in the snow.
Such a spicy good time! Thank you, Cassandra Vega, for the ARC copy. I loved it so much.

❤️This book was so sweet and wholesome. Yes, there were countless spicy scenes that made my 😺 hum with excitement but it was also so wholesome. Every single character asked for consent to do things. All of them had such healthy communication with each other. This was such a wholesome, cozy book to read, I loved everything about it.
Current status: in a puddle on the floor. I melted, this book is so HOT, I can’t even.
I just finished Melt for Me and I am still reeling. Cassandra Vega has this uncanny ability to pack so much intensity into a novella that it feels like I’ve lived a whole lifetime with these characters. If you’ve read any of the Consumed Series, you’ll know what I mean, but even if you haven’t, this one stands strong on its own.
The story follows a moment of vulnerability between two characters, Hanna & Jackie, whose chemistry is undeniable but complicated. Vega doesn’t waste time with fluff she dives straight into the emotional core, and it hurts in the best way. The tension, the longing, the quiet moments that say more than words ever could… I was hooked from page one. Seeing these two act on their mutual feelings was cathartic; I was squealing when they kissed for the first time.
“Jack and Elliott are never far from their orbit, their presence a reminder that love can be complicated, messy, and bigger than anyone expected.”
What I loved most was how raw it felt and how they were all supportive (mostly) exploring all together. Jack and Elliott encouraged it, within perimeters. The bond between these four characters, Jack, Hanna, Jackie, and Elliot is built on shared trauma. There’s a scene (no spoilers!) where one character finally lets their guard down, and I swear I had to pause and breathe. Vega writes intimacy like it’s sacred, it’s messy, tender, and real. The absolute best kind, in my opinion.
When they’re all together, the boundaries between friendship, love, and desire blur into something deeper: a shared vulnerability that makes every touch, every glance, every desire resonate. It’s the kind of bond that feels rare and unshakable, as if four lives have melted into one heartbeat.
I love, love, loved Melt for Me! It’s short, but it lingers. Like the title says, it melts you (mainly from the delicious, toe curling spice!!) I’m all for angsty bi-awakenings and a bit of partner swapping! What more could you ask for from a holiday novella ;)
A huge thank you to Cassandra Vega for the early copy! If she writes it, I will read it without hesitation!
This novella was good if you’re just looking for a quick, spicy read. There’s no hesitation, jumping right into the spice almost immediately.
There two fmc’s are friends who bonded over the trauma of a past lover named Michael. Michael was mentioned countless times throughout this novella, but the author never divulged into to history there.
I really would have liked to get flashbacks of Michael to better understand everyone’s history with him.
I also felt like the spicy scenes in the beginning were over too quickly, they could have been a little bit longer. But then, midway through; the spicy scenes kept stopping abruptly to “talk” which bothered me.
Every time they start to get into it, someone stops it and they all just break off and go their separate ways. I think wasn’t impressed with that.
The ending of this book was good, I selfishly wanted more of that throughout the whole novella. But beggars can’t be choosers.
Four friends. One snowy sexy getaway. If you are looking for a quick smutty holiday read.. look no further than Melt For Me. I loved the fast pace of this spicy novela. It features four friends on a holiday vacation which quickly turns into a steamy swinging time.
I did read this as a standalone so I had no idea about the prior character intros but I didn’t need it. They were introduced perfectly and the plot was spicy and absolutely perfect.
🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
This is a must read. If you like your plot more spicy than plotty.. read this. Releases November 17th!!

Locked away in a snowy cabin, two couples (and friends) test boundaries and feeling for each other. There was plenty of spice but also good conversations on feelings, dynamics, and ongoing consent. Each of the characters had moments for me where I really liked them. Jack comes off as showy and a leader but had a teddy bear heart, Jaqueline and Hana had really great moments. I had not read the consumed series but now I'll have to because the silent extra character, Michael, has a back story that I am desperate to know!
Melt for me is set to be published 11/17/2025 and I was asked to review and ARC by the author.
I have not read the main Consumed series but really enjoyed this quick novella sent to me for an ARC review!
Jackie and Hana have developed a close friendship out of shared trauma over events that take place outside of this story.
Jackie and Elliot fly in to spend a weekend getaway at a cabin with Hana and Jack.
The two couples get snowed in and make the most of their time together, getting to know each other on a more personal level. This novella touches on the importance of communication and trust as well as setting and respecting boundaries.
ARC READ: this was my first read with this author and it was so good. This was a spicy little novella but at the same time these characters learned limits, especially when it came to your emotions.
I didn’t know there is a series about them ( consumed series) so I’m about to dive into that because I’m dying to know these characters back story. So glad I came across this author because the writing is so good.
Quick and very spicy read that is set in Cassandra's Consumed world. The book centers around friends Hana and Jackie and their husbands Jack and Elliott. It explores not only their intense chemistry but also the importance of communication and boundaries.
I received an advanced review copy at no cost, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. Thank you to the author, Cassandra Vega, for the opportunity to read this book.
Melt for Me is a novella that is part of the “Consumed” series; however, this can be read as a standalone. This is how I read the novella, because I had not read anything else in this series before this book. However, after reading this novella, I definitely would like to go back and read the other books because I want to learn more about the backstories of these characters, after this steamy novella full of interactions between them!
Hana and Jackie are best friends and nothing more. They have not crossed into any other territory with the intention, until now. They bring their respective partners with them on a winter vacation that leads to a lot of ambiguity about where their friendships stand, as lines get blurred and things start to heat up and get a LOT spicy.
This book has elements of partner swapping, explorations of sexuality and feelings within a marriage, and also outside the confines of the marriage, discussions of jealousy and what that means in this situation, and a whole lot of honest conversations about what comes next after a night of desire. Their forced proximity when a snowstorm comes through requires all of the parties involved to get a little uncomfortable before they understand where their hearts truly lie.
I ate this book UP. It was spicy. It was steamy. It was emotional. It was beautiful. It was chaotic. I LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT.
ARC Review - Look forward to reading more of Cassandra Vega's books.
About the book: A Spicy Novella about four people that share a traumatic experience, in different ways. The four are now split into two couples that continue to visit each twice a year. This year, rather than meet on either side of the country in which each couple lives, they have decided to rent a Cabin in Lake Tahoe where not only do they snowed in but they decide to test boundaries that heat things up quite quickly!
My review: If you are looking for Spice on Spice on Spice. Then why are you reading this? Go get the book and start reading!!!
This is a very short, easy read. It starts with spice and it ends with spice!
I feel like this review may not be fair as I haven’t read the series in which the story is based.
AND, let me start by saying I didn’t not like the book. I enjoyed what was given in the book.
But for me, I was missing something and I was lift wanting more. More depth to the characters, more depth and substance to the story. There was a constant mention of their trauma with “Michael” but no backstory. And other than lust and desire I didn’t get to “feel” what the characters felt after their trauma bond began. Towards the end of the book there was a moment, after some very fun shenanigans, when each couple had a heart to heart, but it was still missing something for me. And again, I think this is due to me not knowing the back story. I really wanted to feel what each character felt, I wanted to bond with them over their experience and I didn’t get to do that.
This was my first time getting read a book by this author, but I do look forward to reading more from her.
First thank you for the opportunity in letting me read this arc. Second, 🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵 Damn I knew what I signed up for when requesting the arc. I read the tropes and was immediately was like yes sign me up. It is spiccyyyyy, the smut ooo 🤌🏼🤌🏼wow. This became one of my favorite spicy novellas. Very short and fast paced. It stars off the bat spicy as they’re snowed in. There are triggers warning ⚠️ like brief past trauma mentioned but doesn’t dive into it with details but you get the gist of it. Check out the triggers before you read. I enjoyed all the characters being there was only four 😂 the couple Jackie and Elliot, Hana and Jack. 👀 Lots of swapping going around and watching 🫣. Bi-curious. I think each character brought enough to the story. Just a glimpse of their past into it. Which I may add is what intrigued me the most. I needed to know what happened in the past because it was mentioned throughout the book. I’m happy to say that there’s a whole series of 3 books before this novella which touches base of said trauma. It gives you a great background story as to how they got to where they are. I’m hooked. Immediately. I like the way she wrote the book because I read this first now I’m going to read the other first three books. Others felt like something was missing from the characters and it’s literally in her other books 😭 like it’s a must read can’t give it all away now. I was happy with the ending too. Overall a great spicy read.
Who should read this? Any spicy lovers who want a short read and like the tropes or want to try something new should read this. Doesn’t like the triggers. If you’ve read the other three books before this then it’s a must. If you haven’t you’re going to want to after reading this.
This novella explored a lot of themes/tropes I have not previously read, but might want to add to my rotation more frequently, and it cast quite the spell on me. Let me start by saying, if you don’t like spicy books, you’re a bad liar… and this book is for you. Despite taking place in winter, this book turned up the heat to about 110°.
It follows two couples, two best friends bound by shared scars and strength, and their husbands. Together they spend a snowed in weekend in Tahoe. Shortly after arriving, sparks begin to fly.
Before the sparks ever flew, however, I loved how intentionally they circled around one another. And when they finally, fully, gave into their desires, I appreciated that despite the toxic background that brought them together, they were setting boundaries, speaking their truths, and crafting a safe space with care for one another and consent.
At first, it felt like watching four souls perform an emotional ritual, one rooted in honesty and healing, rather than chaos. Despite being with someone else, they still felt as though they belonged to one another. But that ended quickly, as the two male characters faced their own fears and let it get the best of them. Their fear led them to compete with one another, which blew up in everyone’s face.
However, through some space and communication we get the super spicy ending. Let’s just say it caught me by surprise but oof, hot. I was not expecting certain aspects of that ending.
I’m docking a star because I wanted more Hana/Jackie.

First, I want to thank the author for the eARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
Melt For You is a spicy novella about a group of friends who expand relationship boundaries with each other. This is a very spicy book, 4/5 so content warnings should be taken into consideration.
What I liked most about this book was how boundaries were discussed. In many of the books I’ve read this year, consent isn’t necessarily talked about. But in this book, both couples explicitly discuss the boundaries they have when they are together. The author gained my support automatically with this.
There wasn’t anything that I didn’t necessarily like about the book. The intimate scenes were graphic, but they flowed together well. There was good spacing between them. As this took place over a weekend during a snowstorm, there wasn’t much happening outside of this.
For someone who hadn’t read the previous books involving the main characters, I didn’t feel lost, but it does make me wonder who Michael was. One can guess that he was not a good guy and may have had abusive tendencies.
Overall, this book is a very quick read and is great for those who love extra spicy scenes and exploration.
I’m so grateful I got to read this as an ARC. Melt for Me was a delicious, emotional ride from start to finish.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a novella that ties into the “Consumed” series. I personally believe the others should be read first. As I was a little confused when the characters kept making references to a “Michael.” But I’m sure it could be read as a standalone.
The spark between Hana and Jackie is electric. Years of friendship layered with unspoken desire makes every glance, every touch, feel loaded. The snowy winter getaway setting adds so much cozy, intimate potential. This isn’t just about heat, Vega weaves in vulnerability, insecurities, longing, and a fair share of internal conflict. I loved how both characters felt real and flawed. They felt relatable in their own ways. What starts as playful and “harmless” begins to test loyalties, marriages, and personal limits. The emotional stakes are high and not everything is neatly resolved. Some pain from the past proves it can still be too much for some to handle.
“When the cold outside bites, sometimes it just makes the fire inside burn hotter.” 🥵
** Besties, a blizzard, and blurred lines–sign me up!! ** This sinfully spicy novella had me hooked from page one. Two best friends, their husbands, and one unforgettable couples getaway that turns into a night (okay, a few nights) of passion, curiosity, and long-hidden attraction finally unleashed. The chemistry between the women practically leapt off the pages. And when things started to heat up? Off. The. Charts. The swapping and dom/sub play added the perfect edge of intensity without losing the intimacy or connection between Hana and Jackie. The scenes were so well written, sexy and tastefully done as the bold characters explored every sinful fantasy (the hot tub setting…WHEW steamier than the bubbles!). The emotions, the tension, the HEAT–this novella had me kicking my feet and fanning myself the whole time.
And the ending?? UGH, pure perfection!! So satisfying. Just the right mix of heat and heart and I loved every delicious, daring minute of it. If you love your romances bold, emotional, and oh-so-spicy….this should be added to your TBR ASAP!
Thank you for trusting me to meet Hana, Jackie, and their hubbies before the rest of the world. It has truly been a pleasure.
When I wrote my review about A court of the vampire queen I said it was all smut no plot, but I had not yet read Melt for Me. This book is next level smut. Can I call it smut? or should I call it cliterature or mayby just 🌽.
Melt for me is about Jackie and Hana two best friends who meet face to face two times a year. This time they meet on neutral grounds at a little snow cabin with their husbands Elliot and Jack. When the weather is forcing the four of them to stay inside lines are crossed and boundaries blur.
▪︎ age gap ▪︎ silver fox ▪︎ forced proximity ▪︎ snowed in
It is a quick read and it is fast paced. Definitely not a slow burn. It is a fun read if you like books with (a lot of) spice. 🌶
I have not read the other books from this author. I understand that this novella is part of a series (The Consumed series) that is why I am giving this read the benefit of the doubt: 4 stars. Because I wanted more... More about the background story from Jackie and Hana but also from Elliot and Jack.
"I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.” Melt for me. Hana and Jackie have always defined their relationship as nothing more than friendship steady, uncomplicated, and firmly platonic. But when the two women embark on a winter getaway with their respective partners, the isolation and intimacy of the trip begin to shift long established boundaries. What starts as a simple vacation turns into a charged exploration of blurred lines, rising tension, and unexpectedly deepened connections. The story weaves together themes of partner swapping, the fluidity of desire, and the complexities of navigating attraction both within and outside of marriage. It delves into jealousy, honesty, emotional risk, and the difficult conversations that follow a night where everything changes. With a snowstorm forcing everyone into close quarters, each character must confront their discomfort and their truths before they can fully understand the direction of their hearts and reset they’re boundaries if necessary. What can or cannot happen? This compelling, provocative read leaves you craving for more stories just like it. Spice dripping of the pages! A must read! 💛
A Steamy, Snowy Tangle of Friendship and Desire This was one of those reads where you think you know what you’re stepping into… and then the author nudges you a little further than expected. The setup is simple on the surface — two best friends, two marriages, and a winter getaway — but the emotional undercurrent is where the book lives. That shift from playful to intimate felt natural, messy, and very human. The dynamic between Hana and Jackie was the strongest part for me. You can feel the years of closeness, the comfort, and the tension they’ve ignored for way too long. And once curiosity turns into action, things get complicated in a way that makes you want to sit them all down for a very long conversation. It’s definitely spicy, definitely bold, and definitely something that will hit differently depending on the reader. I didn’t connect with every choice the characters made, but I appreciated how honestly the story explored friendship, desire, and the consequences of crossing lines you can’t uncross. A solid, interesting read and one that will leave you with thoughts to unpack.
This book had me sweating and completely captivated! Two couples find themselves snowed in during a cozy cabin getaway, and they make the most of it - the story was absolutely fantastic. lloved how it wasn't straightforward; emotions and honesty played vital roles, showing how feelings can shift from one moment to the next. Conversations like these are so crucial and add so much depth. This was my first time discovering this author, and I'm now an instant fan. Since it's connected to the Consumed series, I definitely plan to read the subsequent one — need to find out who Michael really is! It seems he's the root of Hana and Jackie's trauma, bringing them closer through shared struggles. But don't worry, this book stands on its own perfectly. If you're craving a quick, spicy winter read, I highly recommend it! Be warned — once you start, you won't be able to put it down. You'll be dying to learn what these couples endured. I absolutely loved every second! Huge thanks to Cassandra Vega for providing this ARC — I genuinely enjoyed reviewing it!
Need a quick and spicy novella, Melt for Me will have you blushing in no time. Two couples, Elliot and Jackie are friends with Jack and Hana and finds themselves snowed in for the weekend together.
Hana and Jackie are best friends, tied through trauma thanks to a jerk name Michael. After Jackie sees Jack and Hana together one night, a free for all weekend is discussed. Hana and Jackie find each other very attractive and want to explore and try new things with each other.
Jack and Hana has explored with other men but not women. Elliott and Jackie has never been with anyone else, the watching each other and partner swiping is new to them.
The four adults thinks they're okay with everything, but boundaries are pushed, emotions runs high, true feelings came out and the men get possessive over their women.
Cassandra Vega can write a delicious and spicy read and she did not disappoint with this one! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The spice hits hard from start to finish. That epilogue when the two men talk it out and do their own exploring with each other had me melting 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶.
The story follows Jackie and Hanna, along with their husbands, who have been trauma bonded through their shared past and continue to meet a few times each year. When they find themselves snowed in together, long buried feelings begin to surface, and they decide to throw caution to the wind to see where those emotions will take them.
This book was spicy and full of emotion, capturing the complex mix of love, jealousy, and anger that comes with navigating deep connections between friends and partners. Each character’s perspective added layers to the story and made the emotional tension even stronger.
I know it is novella length, but I wish it had been a bit longer to allow some of the deeper emotions to be explored further. With so much happening in a short time, a few scenes felt a little confusing on the first read.
Overall, I think this was a really good book from a new to me author, and I am looking forward to making time next year to dive into the Consumed series.
I read this Holiday Novella as a standalone so I did not know the characters or their stories before this. With that said, I had no problem, reading it and enjoying every fucking minute.
Sometimes with Novella’s you feel like you’re missing parts of the story because it’s quick, Cassandra, in my opinion, did a fantastic job introducing the characters, the different settings, and sprinkling the backstory. I never questioned what was happening or why it was happening.
This was my first two couple read, but it was hot. The bond that Hana and Jackie share is evident without being overwhelming and you see both sides of it so it’s not just one of them feeling it and not the other. The husband’s definitely start the ‘whose dick is bigger contest’, and I was worried it was going to ruin the friendship, but in the end it did not. From start to finish, I ate this up, but don’t worry - you might need a few minutes for yourself 🤭
Wicked, wicked hot! Two couples, one cabin in Tahoe where they’re snowed in, sooo much combustive tension, and a shared dark past that’s ripping them all apart at the seams, and it is completely honestly the biggest turn on to read. Sexy is the name of the game here, with scenes so hot you’re practically running to shut yourself in a room, but it’s more than the watching, the sharing, and the anything goes spice that litters the pages, it’s the communication, the painfully honest, the fear that the controlling psycho that has tainted all of their lives is gone but still has a lingering power that they can’t shake, and for every singeing heat filled second there is an equally hot moment of truth, and that makes it all even sexier, more seductive, and much, much hotter. It’s exploring limits, satisfying curiosity, new intimacy between them all as a group and as individual couples, and a strengthening of marriages that were already rock solid and it just works.
Melt for Me is a snowbound novella that takes friendship, loyalty, and desire, and throws them into the fire. Hana and Jackie have always been inseparable, but when a winter getaway with their husbands turns playful moments into something far more intimate, the line between friendship and passion melts away.
This isn’t a lighthearted holiday romance—it’s a morally gray, emotionally charged exploration of temptation and fallout.
Vega leans into the messy consequences of desire, making this a quick but unforgettable read.
The was an ARC read in exchange for an honest review and also my first read from this author. Melt for Me is a very spicy novella. Make sure you pay attention to the tropes in the beginning. I was drawn into the characters from the first page. I hadn’t realized the same characters in this novella have an entire series- the Consumed series, so I’ll be reading those soon. In this story you’ll explore a sexual awakening and the characters learning what their limits are. I liked that they actually discussed what their boundaries are. The way the author played out the time these characters spent together seems very typical of how a consensual multi-partner sexual experience should be handled. I wasn’t expecting the epilogue! Hands down a spicy read that’ll get you hot and bothered in a good way!
Cassandra Vega…. I need you to watch the CNC of this book review. I had a moment while recording. haha. But excuse me, I was in love with this book and I didn’t want it to end. So that is semi rude that this book ended. Maybe, now hear me out, we just keep having random novellas about these couples!!! I need more Jack in my life. He was a hoot!!
Author Cassandra Vega from the warmest novella I have read in a long time. I absolutely loved watching how everything unfolded even if I had a moment of “don’t tell me this is about to be a dumpster fire.” It wasn’t but boy did it feel like we got close. I literally had to cover my mouth to finish reading this in hopes things weren’t going where my mind was going. Thankfully not, I was dramatic and I am ok with admitting that.
Check the trigger warnings everyone but this was a sweet romcom novella. Now I want a snowy day….
