Seven years I’ve been running from a badge. Seven years protecting my son from his monster father. Seven years of silence, fear, and hunger.
Then Saul Ivanov walks into my diner. Dark. Deadly. Dangerous. The kind of man who owns the night.
I should run. Instead, I burn.
When he calls Oscar “son”— When he kills to shield us— When he bends me over and makes me scream his name— I know I’ve been starving for this kind of ruin.
He ties me down. Breaks me open. Fills every hollow place inside me. While my boy sleeps safely under Ivanov protection.
But love in this world comes with war. And Saul’s war is a legacy soaked in blood.
The Romanos want him dead. The cops want me silenced. And his own family whispers he may not be an Ivanov at all.
Now I’m watching the man I love— Fight to prove his name. Bleed to defend his throne. Kill to keep me his.
But one truth terrifies me more than the gunfire. More than the lies. More than the men pounding at our door.
If Saul Ivanov falls… he won’t fall alone.
He’ll take my heart. My son. And the only chance at a future I never thought I’d have.
Author’s The Disputed Legacy is a dark, steamy, and heart-pounding Russian mafia romance featuring a forced marriage, mistaken identity, enemies-to-lovers tension, a morally grey hero, and a heroine trapped between duty and desire. Expect power struggles, brutal secrets, a dangerous heir, and a love forged in fire, betrayal, and obsession.
She was on the run. Running from men her father sold her to in order to cover his debts. When she found out she was pregnant she knew she had to make a better life for her child so she ran. They are powerful people and she knows she has to stay under the radar, just making ends meet so they don't find her. A waitressing job in a diner is low key and she can be invisible, until he shows up and starts paying attention. At first she tries to keep him at arm's length, thinking that it will protect her and him. But he wears her down and she starts to wonder if there is a way for her to have something even if brief because he makes her feel things she has never felt before. But when danger comes knocking she worries she has signed his death warrant, but that is only because she doesn't know who he is. He is a bratva heir, and as dangerous as they come, but not to her. He sees her and all of her tenacity and he just wants her more. He knows she is running from something so he doesn't want to tell her who he really is in case it spooks her, but when danger comes he is ready to take her and her son and claim them for good. This one was a bit of a slow burn as the story was laid out. I liked their characters and how he pursued her. They had some spice and it was nice and steamy. I didn't love how the mafia family arc unfolded it felt a little convoluted for me. And then I felt like the dealing with her past was rushed and unsatisfying after the build up of the danger.

Saul is for sure my favorite! I love that he tried to get to know Willow before he moved her in, even if it didn't go as planned. My favorite character hsas to be Oscar though because the kids doesn't pull punches and is the perfect addition to the family they didn't know they needed. They both have secrets and while they could have caused more tension (and I would have been all for that) they were abel to come together in the end. I like how well accepted she was by the family with the previous three having struggles so this was a nice change.

Great book and ending to this series. One of my favorite mafia families. MMC, Raul, has always been a player. Finding a different woman every night. Until he sees how happy his brothers are married and having babies. FMC is a single mother to a 7 year old boy. She's running from someone. MC'S meet at the diner FMC works at. They hit it off right away. Even though FMC is trying to ignore him. MMC continues to see FMC and her son. Neither one has said anything about their past. I love this mafia family. They're so funny, loving and supportive. Lots of changes happens in the book. Including happy endings.
Willow and Saul's story is about one persistent man who has found the love of his life and won't give up until he has made her his and that she's not ready for any man. She has been in hiding for seven years with her son Oscar frightened that her son would be taken from her. Doesn't sound good for him but I did say persistent. Each character has been so well written that you can't help wanting them to sort themselves out and get to the good stuff. A really good read.
Willow had ran with her son Oscar to keep him safe for 7 years she didbher best but when her past comes its Saul who comes to her aid. A spark ignites but troubles bot far off for either of them, and secret pasts unravel can they be safe for a future ahead? Well written engaging steamy desires drama action and more a great addition to the series
This book was the best one out of this series. The story was good. The MMC was awesome! He was so hot. And the FMC was just perfect. She was his match. And we can’t forget about Oscar. It was heartbreaking what she went thru before. But I’m so happy she got her HEA!!!
Every book in this series was exceptionally good, but Scarlett Shelton saved the best for last. Saul and Willow’s story was well written with the very best of happily ever afters!
This entire series is one of the best reads. The characters and history, family, loyalty and love are wonderful, but the devotion to the Ivanov women, swoon worthy. If only.
This is the fourth of the 4 men to find their partners for life. They are all so delighted to have found 4 women, all of whom are now living in close proximity.
