Danger in the Rockies is the third book in the exciting multi-author, interconnected Colorado K-9 Unit series. This action-packed, unputdownable read features K-9 Officer Maren Anderson and DEA agent Colt Dawson and their K-9 companions Haven and Rusk. When they find the cases they are working on may have a common link, Maren's presumably dead twin sister, they join forces resulting in a danger-filled, suspenseful adventure. A perfectly timed plot, relatable characters, and a touch of romance immersed me in the story and kept me totally absorbed to the end making this an enjoyable, rewarding reading experience. I highly recommend it. I received a copy of this book from the author/publisher with no obligation to write a positive review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I have always enjoyed K9 books because I’m a huge dog person. I get excited every-time I see the K9s (officer and dog ;)). Danger in the Rockies by Terri Reed was my first one read of the Colorado K9 Unit series. This is book three of the series in this standalone multi author book series. Hopefully soon i can catch up on books one & two. K9 Officer Maren Anderson and her companion K9 Haven, are apart a special task force investigating into an illegal adoption ring. Along Maren, we have DEA Agent Colt Dawson and his K9 partner, Rusk, is looking for a drug kingpin, Shadow. Their two cases have interconnected with Maren’s supposed dead twin sister, Opal. That’s all I’ll say that on that part because I don’t want to spoil anything. This has lots of action, danger and suspense as always expected with Terri’s books.
I received this book from the publisher and was not required to leave a review. The opinion is my own.
I look forward to Terri’s stories when ever she has a new one releasing, they are always ones I enjoy and this one was really fun! I enjoyed the sibling elements with Maren and her sister as well as the continuing mystery that the K-9 task force is investigating thoughout the series. The story moves well and kept me invested and the ending was exciting. Great read!
I received a copy of this book from the author and was not required to post a positive review. All thoughts are my honest opinion.
I have read several books by this author and really enjoyed them. This is the third book in a continuity series called Colorado K-9 Unit. These series usually have a crime that occurs in the first book and is not solved until later in the series. This is the first book I have read in this series but I do not feel like I am lost even though I have not read the first two books. I thought that this book was really well-written. I really enjoyed the interactions between the two main characters and their K-9s. I also have to say that there were so many great secondary characters in this novel that make me glad it is a series instead of a standalone. I am looking forward to reading the other books in this series and I highly recommend this one.
I received a complimentary copy from the author. The opinions in this review are my own.
A twin sister that may or may not be dead. A baby smuggling ring. A drug dealer that doesn't want to be found. A DEA agent and a K9 special unit officer being forced to work together to find out if all of these are related or not. What could possibly go wrong!? This book was a great read and consistent with love inspired stories. Included all of my favorite things--a dog, danger, a little romance, faith and more.... I received this as an ARC with no commitment to review or purchase
DANGER IN THE ROCKIES by Terri Reed is the adrenaline pumping, suspense filled story of K-9 officer Maren Anderson and DEA agent Colt Dawson. Each from a different law enforcement agency and working different cases, their common denominator is Opal, Maren’s twin sister. When they end up working together on both cases, they may find out they have more in common than they thought.
Maren and Opal’s parents died in a car crash when they were only 18. Taken in by an uncle, he also soon dies. Each twin handled it differently. While Maren threw herself into schooling and becoming a police officer, Opal took another route and turned to drugs. The close twin bond had seemed to vanish. Before Maren could blink twice and see it, her sister was gone. Suicide they said.
Maren is working on a case involving the disappearance of young pregnant girls that are later found murdered and minus their babies. They are fearful this may be the case with 19-year-old Mia Andrews – missing granddaughter to the task force beneficiary Dodger Andrews. With her due date fast approaching, the race is on to find her before she becomes another statistic. That is what brought Maren to this OB/GYN clinic, looking for Mia. Instead, she’s shocked to see her sister walking into the clinic. Before she could reach her, the entryway was besieged with bullets. Being an exactly copy of Opal appears not an advantage for Maren. Colt came to her rescue. He had been there tailing Opal trying to get a lead on Shadow – who he is and where he’s hiding. Ever since his brother’s suicide as a result of drug abuse, Colt has dedicated his life to stopping drugs.
Why hadn’t Opal reached out to her twin if she was in danger? Is she pregnant as Maren believes? Maren and Colt’s dedication to their jobs hasn’t allowed for the distraction of romance, but can they deny their attraction to each other? How is Shadow able to keep track of their every move – almost like he knows what they are thinking? When it appears there is a mole within their respective agencies, can they trust anyone except each other? Will Maren be able to reunite with her twin? Or will Shadow win?
DANGER IN THE ROCKIES is an exceptional, suspense filled story that combines different agencies, different crimes seamlessly into one perfect can’t put down book. Terri Reed gives us a story of second chances, family, trust, courage, determination, mystery, danger, and romance while wrapping it all in a wonderful thread of faith. DANGER IN THE ROCKIES is a magnificent FIVE-STAR book that I highly recommend it to everyone!
While DANGER IN THE ROCKIES is the third book in the Colorado K-9 Unit series, it can most definitely be read as a standalone book.
I received an ARC of this book with no requirement or expectations of a review. All opinions are completely my own. #DangerintheRockies #ColoradoK9Unit #TerriReed #LoveInspiredSuspense #InspirationalRomance
Award winning NYT Best Seller Terri Reed has done it again with Danger in the Rockies! Action packed!
When K9 Officer Maren Anderson begins to investigate an illegal adoption ring she goes to a free pregnancy clinic to check to see if the doctor exploiting the babies and eliminating the mothers is working there. Upon exiting the clinic gunfire erupts and she is shocked to see her identical twin fleeing. While trying to process what she just saw and stay out of the line of gunfire she meets DEA Agent Colt Dawson who rescues her, but isn't sure she didn't know her twin would be there. Together they must work as a cohesive team to find the leader of the drug cartel ring who goes by the name Shadow. They know there are several corrupt LE involved, but they don't know who they are.
Colt has a lack of trust in women due to a past history where he was forced to arrest for drug trafficking a few years prior. Maren hasn't had time to date sinc9e her parents and uncle's death and the disappearance of her identical twin sister Opal.
The founder of the Task Force trying to stop the illegal and lethal adoption ring founded the Task Force to help find his missing and pregnant granddaughter who is believed to be in danger from the illegal adoption ring. He is able to financially fund the Colorado K- 9 Unit Task Force.
Together Colt and Maren must find Opal before Maren, who is constantly being mistaken for Opal, and Opal become victims of homicide.
Non-stop action while maintaining faith based principals Danger in the Rockies has it all!! Will Colt and Maren put their past aside and trust each other to form a relationship beyond a professional working one? Will the Task Force and DEA find Shadow and his associates and the illegal adoption ring before more women (3 so far) go missing with one confirmed deceased? Will Maren find Opal safe or will it be too late? Opal is a known drug addict and was with one of Shadow's top lieutenants who was the victim of a homicide by Shadow making her a high risk for her homicide. She can identify Shadow.
I received an advance copy from the author to read and post my honest review. I was not in anyway compensated or promised anything for my honest review.
Another exciting romantic thrill ride in the Colorado K-9 Unit series! Terri Reed always keeps me riveted with her edge-of-your-seat romantic suspense. Danger in the Rockies delivers all the danger, thrilling suspense, heartfelt romance, & twists with a beautiful faith thread woven in. I enjoyed spending time with Maren & Colt as they join forces to find her missing twin, take down a deadly drug kingpin, & stop a baby smuggling ring.
K-9 officer Maren Anderson has been through the wringer. After several devastating losses, including her parents & recently her twin sister, she’s steeled her heart & is working harder than ever to bring down a baby smuggling ring. When she catches a glimpse of her supposedly dead sister entering a medical clinic, she immediately follows, only to be delayed by gunfire aimed at her & her trusty canine partner. Coming to her rescue is handsome DEA agent Colt Dawson, who’s been tracking her sister Opal, a key witness in bringing down the Shadow, a sinister drug kingpin with tentacles throughout the city, including law enforcement. Before they can reach Opal, she vanishes without a trace. With approval from their agencies, Maren & Colt team up to find Opal & uncover the truth before it’s too late.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story. I loved Maren & Colt’s reluctant to fall, allies to more romance. Like Maren, Colt is hesitant to open his heart after being betrayed by the woman he once loved. Though they’re opposites in many ways, they work so well together, & I loved watching the attraction flare between them. Both have lovable canine partners who help out, especially when it counts.
The mystery kept me quickly turning pages. Maren & Colt always seem one step behind the bad guys, who somehow manage to show up everywhere they are. The action is intense as they play a dangerous cat-and-mouse game with the Shadow & his associates. I enjoyed trying to figure out the Shadow’s identity & uncover who on the inside was working with him. Each clue leads to an exciting climax, & while there are still a few unanswered questions, I loved the ending.
Recommend to romantic suspense fans! I received an advanced copy with no expectation of a positive review. All opinions are my own & voluntarily provided.
A K-9 team’s investigation leads to a deadly case of mistaken identity.
K-9 officer Maren Anderson is shocked when she catches a glimpse of her presumed-dead twin sister—moments before a shooter opens fire. DEA agent Colt Dawson rescues her and helps secure the crime scene, but before Maren can find her sister, Opal vanishes again. Maren has questions and so does Colt—especially since Opal may be the key to exposing a drug kingpin’s identity. But now the cartel leader’s henchmen think Maren is her sister and she has a target on her back. Forced to work together to unravel the deadly mystery, Maren and Colt must track down her twin before the criminals closing in claim their lives… My favorite quote is An uneasy feeling shifted through her. Maren approached the clinic door with her K-9, Haven, at her side. As she reached for the handle, Haven spun, facing the street, and let out a series of frantic barks.
Maren knew the tone of her partner’s bark.
Haven was alerting to danger. But from where? And who?
Before Maren could formulate an action plan, gunfire rang out. Bullets pelted the building around her, coming within inches of slamming into her and Haven. The clinic doors burst into a shower of glass. Terrified screams echoed from within.
Maren crouched and reined in Haven’s leash. Then she hustled them both toward the nearest parked car to use as cover as more bullets peppered the front of the clinic. I recommend reading this book. Danger in the Rockies by Terri Reed is a 5-star book. I am looking forward to reading more books by Terri Reed . I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions shared here in this review are my own. From Love Inspired Suspense: Courage. Danger. Faith.
Thank you Terri Reed for allowing me to be a part of this launch team. This story was engaging from the first paragraph! I was not ready to let go of Maren & Colt and their dogs Haven & Rusk. Danger in the Rockies by Terri Reed K-9 Officer Maren Anderson & her partner Haven, a Doberman Pinscher, had been tracking an illegal baby adoption ring. While following up on a lead, she sees her twin sister, Opal. But that is impossible since she is dead, isn't she? Maren never believed that Opal was dead, she would have known, would have felt it. DEA Agent Colt Dawson & his K-9 partner Rusk, a German Shorthaired Pointer, has been tracking a suspect, Opal Anderson, he hopes she leads him to Shadow, the biggest drug dealer in town. He tracks Opal to a women's clinic where he saw her go into the building. Just as she enters, Colt's attention is distracted by a woman and her dog who are crouched behind a car taking on gunfire, her dog is wearing a working dog sign, police? And she looks just like his suspect. Colt did not remember reading about a sister, let alone a twin. But he dives in to help her. Colt finds out that Maren & Haven are a part of a task force tracking down the leader of an illegal adoption ring. They lure women with a promise of health care then kidnap the women and kill them after they give birth. Maren finds out that Colt and Rusk have been tracking Shadow, the biggest drug dealer in the area. The more they talk the more they believe their cases are connected. Neither Colt or Maren are looking for romance, neither is able to trust their hearts to someone else again. Then why in such a short time do they realize they are falling for one another? They both put their faith and trust in the Lord to guide them professionally & personally.
Intriguing and intense with undercurrents of romance, ‘Danger in the Rockies’ is the kind of book you want to devour in one sitting. I was committed right from the frantic opening scene that propels Maren into unexpected chaos and danger. Luckily, Colt and his own K-9 partner are able to render aide whereupon their individual cases – and their lives – become entangled as they search for answers.
Their emotionally charged love story gradually evolves behind the scenes while investigative work and thwarting villains take precedence. Loved the pacing and the way Reed breathes life into her characters – not only Colt and Maren, but her whole team as well. I’m so looking forward to getting everybody’s story by the end of the year.
So, yes, this is the third book in the ‘Colorado K-9 Unit’ continuity series but it reads well as a standalone too. I really appreciated the way the author merged the over-arcing series suspense elements within the specifics for the case unique to this book. Very well done and easy to follow. Plus, I’m more excited than ever to get back with the team and follow some clues and finally get some answers!
I enjoyed listening to the audio edition of ‘Danger in the Rockies’ expertly narrated by Tanya Eby. She has become a favourite voice in my listening library and finding her name listed in the credits is likely to sway my purchasing impulse. Definitely an audio book I can happily recommend.
My thanks to Harlequin Audio and Net Galley for providing me with an audio copy of this book.
Grab this book if you're a fan of danger and adventure, because the non-stop action begins in the opening pages! An investigation of an illegal adoption ring sends K9 officer Maren Anderson to a suspected ob/gyn clinic. What she doesn't expect in this visit is a frantic attempt to dodge bullets and a shocking view of her "presumed dead twin sister" fleeing the crime scene. Her rescue by DEA Agent Colt Dawson introduces her to even more danger! He is trying to capture the leader of a drug ring, and multiple clues point to Maren's sister, Opal. Is it possible that the missing key to Colt's investigation may be held by someone who looks just like Maren?
The intriguing characters and thrilling plot kept me turning the pages, but best-selling author Terri Reed didn't stop there. A glimpse of Maren and Colt's past experiences offered depth to the story, and their realistic emotions created the perfect conflict. Could they overcome their doubts and trust their hearts? I loved the romantic tension and the faith that's woven into their story. Inspiring faith, but never preachy...one of Reed's trademarks! And I can't forget two loyal canine protectors, Haven and Rusk!
I recommend Danger in the Rockies for fans of heartwarming but thrilling romantic Christian suspense.
I received a complimentary ARC from the author. There was no obligation for a positive review. These are my opinions alone.
This is a clean, Christian suspense romance filled with intrigue and danger thus keeping the listeners on the edge of their seats from the beginning to end. Officer Maren Anderson, with her K-9 Haven, is investigating an illegal adoption ring when she gets attack. with bullets. Rescue comes in the form of DEA Agent Colt Dawson and his K-9 Rusk. Colt is after Shadow, a drug leader, and his accomplice, Opal. This is the twin sister whom Maren thought had been killed in an accident. She not only appears to be alive , but is also pregnant. Are the two cases related? Are the bad guys now after Maren because they think she’s Opal? The story was not only filled with bad guys, drug dealers, possibly corrupt law enforcement agents, but it was also filled with faith. A reminder that one must place in God’s hands our faith especially in circumstances that we can’t seem to understand. The plot was engaging, the main characters likable and the K-9s almost human. Lastly, the narrator Tanya Eby, brought the story to life. I was entrusted a copy of this audiobook by Netgalley and Harlequin Audio. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
This book starts out with K-9 Officer Maren Anderson following up on a lead in their baby smuggling ring, when she sees a woman who looks just like her twin sister that just drowned. When she goes after the woman, her dog Haven starts barking right before a barrage of bullets start flying. In other words this book starts out with a bang and the suspense keeps building until the very last nail-biting page. Is the woman she sees her twin sister and if she is, who was the people shooting at; her or her twin? DEA Agent Colt Dawson is following a lead looking for a drug dealer only known by Shadow. His lead just happens to be Maren's twin sister, Opal. What happens next you will need to grab this book to find out. Just know that there will be plenty of non-stop action that will keep you up late at night to finish the book. I am looking forward to the rest of this series and learning more about the K-9 handlers and their dogs. I received a complimentary copy of this book, but was not required to leave a positive review. All options are what I thought of the story.
I love reading about K-9 teams and how owner and dog act together. We have twin sisters in story who are so opposite. But twins are connected to each other with a special bond. Maren Anderson is a K-9 officer and Opal, her sister, is quite different. DEA agent, Colt Dawson, meets up with Maren at a clinic. Maren is trying to check on a doctor about a case she is working on. She is shocked to see what looks like her twin sister there because she was told she was dead. All of sudden Maren is being shot at. Colt is there because of a case he is working on. He rescues Maren. There is a lot you can learn about DEA and K-9 officers and task forces. Maren and Opal haven't seen each other since their parents were killed in an automobile accident. Opal didn't like Maren becoming a cop. There are drug lords, dealers, and there group coming after Maren. Why? Get book. There is plenty of danger, hope, and family in story. Maren and Colt team up together to work on both their cases together. A very good read. Hard to lay book down because it holds your attention.
In Danger in the Rockies by author Terri Reed, K9 Officer Maren Anderson is investigating an illegal adoption ring when she thinks she sees her presumed-dead sister. When someone opens fire at Maren's location, K9 DEA Agent Colt Dawson comes to her air. Now there's a target on her back. But by who? Why? Cole doesn't trust women. Maren has had too much death surround her. They are both carrying heavy emotional burdens. But as they work together, they grow closer. I loved seeing how the Lord works in each of them through their circumstances. I also loved K9 partners Haven and Rusk! The relationship between handler and K9 partner is so well-written. This story has action that doesn't stop, suspense, and twists you don't see coming. It also has faith, hope, encouragement, and romance. While this book is part of the Colorado K-9 Unit series, it can absolutely be read as a stand-alone (but why not go back and read the first two if you haven't already?). I can't wait for more! My thanks for the complimentary copy of this book. My opinions are entirely my own.
K-9 Officer Maren Anderson and her K-9 Haven are investigating an illegal adoption ring which is deadly to young pregnant girls. DEA agent Colt Dawson and his K-9 Rusk are on the heels of a very dangerous drug kingpin. Maren thinks her twin sister is dead but then she sees Opal going into a pre-natal clinic. The same clinic a doctor involved in the adoption ring was fired from. Is Maren imagining things or is her sister really alive? Before she can find out, shots are fired at her, and Colt just happens to be at the same clinic. Why? Are the two cases related or what? There are several unexpected twists and turns in this book, but I highly recommend it. If you love K-9s who are so loyal to their officers, this book fits the bill. You won't be disappointed if you love suspenseful stories with a little romance thrown in. I was given an advance copy by the publisher, but these are my thoughts and words.
Terry Reed is once again amazing. I love this series. The Standard alone books that join together to solve crimes and bring peace and families back together in the midst of chaos and suspense is inspiring to me. Terry brings Maren who is searching for her missing sister (who faked her own death) and is also searching for a drug ring to an OB clinic where officer Colt is there searching for a baby smuggling doctor. These officers along with their K-9 partners Haven and Rusk are attacked and shot at as Maren sees someone who looks like her twin sister go into the clinic. My goodness all the twists and turns in this book keeps you on your toes and the outcome of who some of the bad guys are really surprised me. Ya'll buy this. Get the series. Each book is stand alone my my when you put them together WOW. I am one of the ones honored to be an advanced copy reader and I love it. Terry Reed you out did yourself again Thanks
This story for sure was a page turner! The suspense really led the way with this one, and almost instantly Terri pulls the reader in, making you feel like you can’t flip the pages fast enough!
Maren has been told her twin, Opal, drowned years prior, but now she sees someone who looks just like her, and it has quickly become her focus. But when you are the twin to a woman on the run, it puts your life at risk! Thankfully, Colt is not too far behind, also with his own reasons to track down Opal. If these two can work together, they maybe could find answers, and maybe even a future together, provided they can keep each other alive!
This definitely leaned more suspense with a dash of romance. That said, it was still such an amazing story. I look forward to the next in the series. Watching these two try to unpack Opal’s whereabouts and why, and then trying to keep each other alive, page turning!
I received a complimentary copy. This review reflects my honest opinion.
Danger in the Rockies tells the story of a task force assembled to save babies from a group taking babies for illegal adoptions and killing the mothers. Crossing the path of the task force is a DEA group looking to take down a drug lord known as Shadow. Maren Anderson is part of the task force. She encounters Colt Dawson, DEA, in the course of investigating a medical clinic. Maren thinks she sees her supposed dead twin sister Opal, who Colt is following. With their investigations overlapping Maren and Colt and their k-9s become partners. There were bullets flying and possible betrayal. The suspense portion of the book kept me on my toes. The romance worked well too. Although both Maren and Colt were reluctant to invite love into their lives, they were a good match. Respect was a big part of their interactions. I listened to the audiobook and appreciated the narrator. Thanks to Netgalley and Harlequin Audio for the early access to the book. 15 May 2026
I love the K9 Unit series and Danger in the Rockies by Terri Reed is the first one I’ve read of the Colorado K9 Unit. It is book three of the series with release date of May 26th. I’ve yet to read books one and two, with the remainder of the series to be released monthly.
Terri never disappoints and again comes through with a good story and wonderful characters. K9 Officer Maren Anderson, with her K9 Haven, is a member of a joint task force investigation an illegal adoption ring. DEA Agent Colt Dawson and his K9 Rusk, is looking for a drug kingpin called Shadow.
Marin and Colt clash when their investigations seem to merge at a medical clinic. With the agreement of their respective bosses they partner up to see if the cases are part of the same case.
I received this book from the publisher and was not required to leave a review. The opinion is my own.
Imagine working an investigation with your K-9 partner and seeing your recently deceased twin. Then, before you can follow her, bullets start flying. This is officer Maren Anderson's story. The drama, suspense, and threats escalate as Maren is mistaken for her twin. DEA agent Colt Dawson rescues Maren before they join forces to find her twin who may have information on a case he is working. Can they trust each other in locating Maren's twin in time to solve the case and keep them all alive?
This book is jam-packed with danger, mystery, questions, and worry. At every turn, it seems their faith is tested. I can wholeheartedly recommend Danger in the Rockies for a nail-biting read. Although part of a continuity series, it can be read by itself. I received an advance copy from the author and all opinions expressed are mine alone.
I knew I was going to be fully immersed in this book from the first couple of chapters. A baby smuggling ring, a glimpse of Maren’s twin, who had been declared dead, and shots fired were just a few of the exciting moments in the first few pages.
K-9 officer Maren Anderson and DEA agent Colt Dawson work together to find the mysterious man known as Shadow, a drug smuggler.
The pacing was quick with plenty of action, ever present danger, as well as many gasp worthy moments. One of the key features of this story was how Colt’s witness and strong faith helped Maren find her faith again and helped her fully realize the power of God.
My other favorite part in this series is always the incredible dogs. They are true heroes.
This is another winner for this author and this series.
Thank you to the author for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Maren Anderson - a K-9 officer - has been grieving her sister's death. Imagine her surprise while following a lead in a baby selling ring, she glimpses her sister! Can it be? But before she can investigate further, she finds herself the target of gunfire. DEA Agent Colt Dawson has been tracking Opal - Maren's sister - and when he follows her to a pregnancy clinic, he is hoping she will lead him to a dangerous drug dealer. But suddenly his suspect is under fire and things begin to spiral. Maren and Opal are twins and both law enforcement and the criminals can't tell them apart. Can Colt and Maren work together - their cases seem to be intertwined - to uncover if Opal is truly alive, find the drug kingpin, and put an end to child endangerment?
This is a twin story with a twist. K-9 Officer Maren Anderson is shocked to see her twin (or someone who looks like her) entering a clinic. As she tries to catch up with her, bullets begin to fly. DEA agent Colt Dawson arrives and realizes that Maren's identical twin is the woman he has been tracking in a drug ring. They work together to discover what is going on and if their two cases (pregnant mothers and their babies/drug ring) are connected. As they get closer and closer to finding answers, the danger gets closer and closer to them. If you like action, suspense, K-9s and a touch of romance, this story is for you. Be warned, if you think you have the bad guy figured out, you may be in for a big surprise! I received an advance copy from the author but all opinions are my own.
An absolute nail-biter! Danger in the Rockies is packed with suspense from the very first scene. Terri Reed delivers another fantastic installment in the Colorado K-9 Unit series. The mistaken identity plot with Maren and her long-lost twin sister kept me guessing, and the wilderness setting added a great survival element. Tanya Eby is a wonderful narrator who always brings these Love Inspired Suspense stories to life with the right balance of emotion and urgency. A quick, highly entertaining listen!
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Danger in the Rockies (Colorado K-9 Unit #3) by Terri Reed Narrated by Tanya Eby Publisher: Harlequin Audio Genre: Christian | Romance Expected Publication Date: May 26, 2026
This book was just as good as I was expecting it to be with a few surprises along the way. Maren and Colt were very professional and intelligent, and their K-9s were delightful. It was impressive that they were trying to solve two separate crimes at the same time. The evil doctor, though he made no appearance, was diabolical, and the people responsible for hunting down Opal and Maren were unexpected and cruel. The story popped from the pages through the author’s descriptive, realistic narrative. I highly recommend this book, and I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book for the author. A positive review was not required, and all opinions expressed are entirely my own.
A good book. I enjoy reading Terri's books she always has something exciting and they seem real. K-9 Officer Maren Anderson is looking into a baby smuggling ring when she sees a woman that looks like her supposedly dead sister!? What? As she goes to try to catch up with the woman someone starts shooting, but at who? DEA agent Colt is nearby trying to locate the same woman to help find out who the local drug kingpin is. Can he and Maren with their K-9's work together to figure it all out? But who is trying to kill her and why?
I received this book from the author but was under no obligation to give a favorable review. The above review is my honest opinion of the book.
This book was excellent! It was so action packed with twists and turns that it was hard for me to put down. I had to keep reading on to see what happened next. Marten and Colt were great characters. They had huge obstacles to overcome but with God’s help they were able to overcome them. There were a couple of surprises but the plot was outstanding. Terri did an amazing job bringing in the two previous stories into hers along with a little bit about all the other K9 handlers. Great job with this book. Definitely worth reading!
“I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.”
This is a Christian Romantic Suspense, and this is the third book in the Colorado K-9 Unit series. I have not read the first two books in this series before picking up this book. I read this book by listening to audiobook, and I really enjoyed this audiobook. I was pulled into this story from the first page, and I could not put this book down. I loved all the characters in this book, and there was a ton of action that kept me wanting to keep reading. I just want the characters to be honest to each other about how they feel. I received an ARC of this book. This review is my own honest opinion about the book like all my reviews are.
