A Recursive Singularity is the complete three novella series composed of The Hypersleep Chronicles, Hope for Humankind, and An Arbitrary Algorithm.
The Hypersleep Chronicles:
The year is 2302. Isaac Jackson is a former CEO of a successful company and has gotten to the point in his life where Earth has nothing left to offer him. He was fed up with the complacency of society that has prevented humanity from truly establishing its footprint outside of Earth. Isaac decides it is time to use the services provided by another private company, Tarax Corporation, to find a new exoplanet to move to in a different star system.
Hope For Humankind:
Hope has awoken on a spaceship in a dissociative fugue and is immediately awarded the title of Interplanetary Communications Specialist. It soon becomes apparent that the subsequent direction of the entire multi-century operation rests on the success of this role. After undergoing a procedure to induce memories lost from hibernation, Hope soon realizes the desperate need to ensure success.
An Arbitrary Algorithm:
With the fate of life on Earth uncertain and the ultimate survival of humankind hanging in the balance, the order of their society on the new planet Cardea is now being questioned. Cardea’s new leader, Ravena, is facing rebellion from Ormr, a visionary fanatic of their planet’s founder, Isaac. Ravena races to save an unprepared people while long-buried secrets from Earth’s past begin to surface.

A mixed bag, good in places,
Three related stories across a narrative arc starting with a billionaires dream of heading to the stars to save humankind…
Story 1 I enjoyed, it was well paced and I was able to get a real sense of the circumstances and actions even if some of the reasoning was a little off-Center.
Story 2 played out as intended. No spoilers here but the “Ohhh” moment happened exactly as I imagine the author intended.
Story 3 wasn’t good. It felt like it had been written to somehow bring the first 2 tales together but felt a little disjointed, a little trite and more than a little rushed which was a shame.
