At 25, Brian Fuller owns a coffee shop on a small island off the coast of North Carolina. He's successful, independent, and has never had a deep, meaningful relationship. Part of him wants to take that first step after a family tragedy, but he's never met another man he feels he can trust.
When Simon Drexell, 47, successful entrepreneur, meets Brian, he can't stop thinking about him. His past is colored with one night stands and bad decisions as he discovered who he was, and for the first time Simon feels he's met someone he wants to love.
But Brian's got more than just baggage; he's got a more than dysfunctional family and a friend whose willing to risk everything to possess Brian body and soul.
I read all 5 episodes today & this review is for them all. I have said it before and I'll continue to say it, I DESPISE SERIALS! Ok now I treated this as one book and read it as such. This was a really good story. The mc's Simon & Brian were very interesting characters deeply flawed & loaded with baggage. The supporting characters were solid and in some cases seriously scary. There were some really warped & twisted people operating in this story, and I liked how it was laid out and handled even though there were some very dark scenes. If you are interested in a budding love story and just how determined a person can be when there is a deep attraction but one of the couple has heavy baggage and lots of patience is needed then this is your story. I actually wouldn't mind reading more about this couple and their friends.
