A New Beginning

Rate this book
Kirsty Johnson needed a break.

From the outside, she seemed to have the perfect a great job, friends, and a long-term boyfriend, Craig, who was ambitious and successful. Everything was in place for her to settle down. But Kirsty yearned for something more.

When her doctor prescribes her a holiday, there is only one place she will go. Fells Inn, a beautiful hotel in the shadow of the mountainside Goat Fell, the centre-piece of the hamlet in the Lake District that she used to visit as a child.

But it is not as she remembers.

This once bustling business had become near derelict, run into the ground by the owner Henry who sees it is a burden rather than a blessing. Whilst the tourism industry in the Lake District may have been booming, there is just one other Bob, a quiet and aloof hiker who comes and goes as he pleases.

When Kirsty sees the ‘For Sale’ sign swinging outside, an idea is planted in her mind.

Could this be the break she had been looking for?

Can Kirsty really turn around her own fortunes, as well as that of this failing business?

Can she go from having it all to starting all over again?

One thing’s for sure, it will take help from a special partner if she is to make A New Beginning...

‘A New Beginning’ is a heart-warming story of fresh starts and new love, set against the stunning backdrop of the Lake District.
