The Charmed Leaf Legacy #3

Love & Letter Charms

Rate this book
The Selection’s prince-must-choose-a-bride meets Bridgerton’s Regency sparkle with the enchanted letter exchange of Divine Rivals—all wrapped up in the whimsy of cozy fantasy.

When shy Aurelise Rowanwood finds herself among the chosen few—young fae ladies from whom the charming (and far too flirtatious) Prince Ryden must select his bride this Bloom Season—she resolves to remain in the background, drawing as little attention as possible until she can quietly depart the palace. After all, she’s never liked the prince and she has far more practical plans of finding a safe, steady companion and retreating to a quiet life with her beloved music.

But when Ryden discovers the truth—that Lady Aurelise is the very same captivating young woman he’s been secretly corresponding with through enchanted letters for the past year—he’s determined to breach her carefully built walls and win her heart in both ink and reality. His weapon of choice? A scandalously irresistible The Dare List.

Caught between the comfort of her quiet dreams and the intensity of feelings she has spent her life avoiding, Aurelise is terrified of surrendering her heart—yet finds herself falling for both the mysterious writer of her letters and the unsuitable, infuriatingly flirtatious prince.

For fans of Bridgerton’s dazzling debut Season, intensely romantic slow-burn without spice, and a sprinkling of magical enchantment, this cozy romantasy will be your next obsession.

This is one of my all time favorite series. I love how the classic stories are turned into fae and all the cool stuff.
I only remember d*mn once or twice but I don’t think anything other than that
I loved the main characters! They were so sweet and I loved how they challenged each other and made each other better.
This will always be a favorite and I can’t wait till the next one!

I’m completely blown away by this book. After book two, I honestly thought there was no way Rachel could top it. She didn’t just top it, she blew it out of the water.

Aurelise’s growth and self discovery was so powerful. The banter was *chef’s kiss*. I don’t think I’ve ever giggled this much while reading. The side characters added so much life and fun to the story.
And Ryden… Perfection! The “please” absolutely wrecked me 😭

I picked this up around 6pm, thinking I’d just read a cosy chapter or two before bed. I did. Not. Put. It. Down. I read straight through until 1:30am 🤣

PICK UP THIS BOOK

I’ve read 126 books this year, and this is EASILY in my top 10!

I have been anxiously (and maybe a little dramatically) awaiting the release of this book! I had an actual countdown in my head and might’ve squealed—okay, definitely squealed—when I could finally read it. I absolutely adored the first two, and this one did not disappoint. It was precious. It was perfect. I’m obsessed. 💕

The romance between these two? Chef’s kiss. SO well crafted! Their personalities, priorities, and even their little quirks just clicked like magic. The witty banter had me grinning like a fool.

Now, let’s talk about these absolutely wonderful characters, because my heart can’t keep quiet any longer.

Aurelise, Lise, L…

My introverted queen (she’s not actually a queen, just a lady). This girl feels BIG. She’s always tried so hard to hold herself together, but her emotions just don’t fit inside neat boxes. She gets nervous around people, hates forced conversations, and would 100% rather be alone with her music. But when she starts corresponding with a mysterious stranger, something shifts. As she gets to know him, the pressure she always feels? Gone. For the first time, she can just be.

When she’s forced by society to do something that she really doesn’t want to do, she can’t say no. She terrified of doing the wrong thing and anxious everyday.

And then—oh, my girl is dared to be bold! (Our swoony hero definitely has something to do with that 😏). Watching her step out of her comfort zone and realize she’s so much more than she thought she was…I was cheering the whole way through! She stays her introverted, soft-hearted self, but she starts speaking up, believing in herself, and it’s just—ugh—so beautiful. I was literally screaming, “Go, Lise!”

Prince Ryden, Ryden, R…

Here’s our sweet, delightfully incorrigible hero. He’s spent most of his life feeling lonely, hidden behind a crown and a mask of royalty. To live up to “royal expectations,” he’s worn a façade: flirtatious, carefree, relaxed—but deep down? It’s easier for him to fake being someone else than to be himself. No one truly knows the real him—not even his friends.

Strangely, the first person to really know him is a woman who doesn’t even know his name. When his mother insists he must get married (yes, for very serious reasons. You’ll discover them when you pick up the book), Ryden is faced with the idea of marrying someone who isn’t the woman he’s been writing to for a year (and starting to pine for!!!)

And this, my friends, is just the beginning.

Buckle up. The ride is totally wild…and absolutely worth every moment. Once Ryden learns the identity of his letter-sweetheart…he doesn’t hit the brakes. Nope. He’s in it to win it. And I was SO here for it. He knows that winning Lise’s heart isn’t just about his love, it’s about showing her just how capable she truly is. He sets up these little moments (and big ones!) so she can shine.

He’s the perfect hero for our heroine. They’re a match made in adorable-romance heaven. I absolutely, 100% loved them together. 10/10! Would recommend with all my heart.

I was NOT given a free copy for my review- if the author ever wants to let me see her work early- I’d be here for it! 👀 But I’m just so in love with this entire series!

Absolute perfection in a book 😍💕 the magical companions had me giggling out loud so many times during this book! Honestly, Spark was my favourite - a moody, adorable little dragon who loves his dessert 😂 The wit, humour, bravery, love, boldness and utter "softness" of this book was so amazing. The story was beautiful, had me laughing almost on every page and stirred so many emotions in me. It was beautiful! Highly recommend you read this whole series so far - Rachel outdid herself with this one! 🥰

How are these books getting better when they started on such a high note? I don’t understand. But let me tell you: I’ve just finished Love & Letter Charms, and sat smiling to myself for the last 10 minutes. In the middle of the night. While my family snores around me.

Oh Aurelise, how deeply you resonate with the 18 year old living inside me. How I wish I had such a beautiful and patient man as Ryden to help coax me out of my shell and show me the world was not nearly as terrifying as it seemed. And a sarcastic teacup dragon at my side would have definitely helped too! This story is equal parts cutely hilarious, wonderfully endearing, and deliciously mischievous and I loved every single second. It’s a light fluffy confection of a book and absolutely the highlight of the series so far (although fair warning I’ve said that in 3 out of 3 reviews now).

Thank you to Rachel Morgan for the opportunity to read and review Love & Letter Charms prior to its release.

PS: I’m putting in my petition for Rosavyn & Hadrian’s HEA next, but also fully aware I might be totally off the mark here.

The story was really well done - going into it, I was worried about the pairing of Aurelise and Ryden based on the previous books. However, the author did a good job at re-framing the characters in a way that felt natural. This book also did the best job at blending humor into the story, whereas the first two books seemed to focus more on drama/conflict. I appreciated the small insights into the previous book’s couples and what I assume are hints at future books.

This is one of the sweetest romances I’ve ever read. At the same time, it was apparent how much Ryden wanted Annaliese to be strong for her own sake.

drug use

I adore this series. It’s so fun and clever and I tore through the first two and almost recommended them to my 12yo to read…but then this one has recreational drug use that somehow teaches the main character to be brave? I…I can’t get behind that message and it’s not one I want to casually hand my kid. When she’s older (like an adult who’s out making her own choices), sure. But as an impressionable kid? Nope nope nope.

My favorite in the series. I adored the letters back and forth.

Would have been a 4 star read but I took a star off (almost took off 2 stars because it bothered me so much) for one of the dares being smoking a drug leaf. It was all shone in a “positive light”, about how much better Lise felt after smoking and how good it made her feel. I hated that message that sent that drugs are an upper, not a downer. There was no down side shown of Lise smoking, and it was implied that smoking made her not a dull person….smh so for sure would not recommend for teenagers.

Other than that part though the rest stays clean with just a few very mild innuendos, and the romance was very swoony. I am a sucker for letters being exchanged, and that was done so well in Love and Letter Charms. The characters are very likable, and I am starting to enjoy the world building more.

Content: no spice, no swearing, no violence, brief drug use, mild innuendos

Oh was I excited to get back into this world! This book was delightful, charming, darling, cosy and all round sumptuous! This is whimsical regency with all the traipsing of magic. I adored the first 2 books in the series, all feature different MC'S from the same family. Every one a distinct personality. In a world where once their magic has manifested, there's a coming out of sorts, a ball to show their magic, a ball to find a life partner. But Aurelise would rather not take part in any of social dictates. She'd rather be as inconspicuous as possible, she's reserved and not a social butterfly in the slightest. She's anxious, socially awkward and loathes being in the spotlight. Yet she must, the season is about to start. And this season is different, it'll be held in the Dreamscape, beautifully brought "back to life" by Mariselle and Evryn.

This was the most adorable prologue I've read! Just after her 18th birthday, Aurelise's magic manifests but with it, a cacophony of unwanted "noise", her emotions triggering an onslaught for all to hear. Her refuge, her music, is now threatening to overwhelm her. So, feeling decidedly silly, she takes a step to try alleviate her distress by writing and placing a letter in an enchanted letter box her brother had purchased for her the previous year. To her utter amazement, she receives a response, from a real person no less, not an imaginary enchantment. So starts a series of communication, real, unfettered, honest. With each letter, the sides of my mouth involuntary tugged upwards and, before I knew it, I had a grin on my face from their correspondence. Shy, quiet, unassuming Aurelise can be herself while penning these letters. She's still sceptical as to the validity of "the recipient" but she's able to express herself, almost frivolously.

Ryden, the Prince, hides who he really is behind a strong facade. A suave, flirty facade. His magic is powerful, difficult to control and he's terrified of it's potency. But, he's quite the catch for the debutants and now, much to his distress, his mother insists he finds a bride. This season. His only pleasure are the letters and when they "dry up" my stomach twisted at his anguish! He is fantabulous! He is someone I feel to my core, as is Lise. I just wanted to wrap them in my arms and hug them! Perceptions, misconceptions, fear and acceptance are overcome, in the most glorious of ways. Ways that had me cheering, grinning and feeling extraordinarily sated!

Ms Morgan crafts the most gorgeous characters. They are real. They are flawed. They are just cool, like immensely comfortable friends. She knows how to spin a true friendship, such as Evryn and Ryden, supportive, genuine. I loved all these characters, they are as diverse as they are magical. Rossevyn is still a favourite of mine, I love her wit and snark. She definitely is not a conformist and that's what they all should be, playing it "safe" in society's eyes. The High Lady, imposing, intimidating, is another hiding her true self. Oh lordie, I could wax lyrical about each and every character, who are impossible to capture succinctly but they are amaaaazing! This author is amazing in her storytelling, the fullness of every word, every sentence, every dynamic has a clear purpose, that goes beyond mere exceptional storytelling.

The family dynamics are the sweetest, they are so protective of one another, caring for each other. The story focuses primarily on Aurelise and Ryden, while giving us more depth to the characters I came to love in the previous 2 books. Kazrian, Aurelise's twin, props her up time and time again. In fact, her entire family rallies round her, but her terror is palpable, her fear resonates from the pages. She's stuck, stuck on being chosen as one of the Crown Court, stuck in Solstice Hall, stuck in not knowing how to respond to R's letters, stuck in her overwhelming emotions, just stuck. I was as relieved as Lise with the kindness and friendship Willow extrended. It wasn't all doom and gloom for Lise though, she had the companionship of 2 very cute magical beings, Spark and Thimble. Throughout this read, the humour eased much of MY anxiety of the "will they, won't they, can they".

The author explored anxiety which borders on panic attack, very sensitivity. Realistically. Acknowledging it. Owning the fact that it does exist. With no judgement, only heart-warming prose. This book wrapped me tightly in it's grasp, like vines lovingly encasing me. When the bindings felt a bit tight, they relaxed, when the bindings were too slack, they hugged me. This book was so flipping hard to put down, in fact, I put my phone on silent so I wouldn't be distracted, I was enthralled, I was in blissful heaven reading this darling book. Though I thoroughly loved the previous 2 books, THIS one is my absolute favourite! Every once in a while I read a book that I literally want to hug, the warm and fuzzies that start in my toes, soon encompasses me entirely. Oh, and on a final note, I doubt I'll ever be able to look at a parsnip without giggling! I can't get enough of this series, I'll be waiting anxiously for the next one!

Excuse me??? This book was adorable 🥰💕 I continue to be more and more impressed with Rachel Morgan’s writing and her ability to craft engaging, heartfelt stories that somehow get better with every installment in this series. Truly obsessed!

One of my absolute favourite things about this book was the FMC. She was so relatable to me personally — shy, gentle, composed, and quietly kind — and I know many fellow introverts will see themselves in her too. It’s incredibly refreshing to read a fantasy with a shy FMC, especially one whose strength doesn’t come from boldness or loud confidence. Watching her slowly grow, step outside her comfort zone, and evolve into a new version of herself by the end of the story was genuinely beautiful 🫶 Her character arc felt thoughtful, realistic, and deeply rewarding.

And then there’s the MMC. THIS MAN. 🤭
I swear he has completely rewritten the definition of yearning. The way he longs for the FMC had me giggling nonstop. Every interaction between them was filled with softness and emotional tension in the best way possible. I honestly think he might be my favourite MMC in the entire series so far.

The setting was another highlight. I loved being immersed once again in this whimsical world, especially with the high fae society gatherings — they added such charm, elegance, and intrigue to the story. It felt like coming home, but with a fresh perspective through new characters we’d only glimpsed in previous books. Being back in this world was an absolute joy.

Personally, this felt like a 5-star read because of how much I enjoyed it from start to finish. The only reason my rating dipped slightly was due to some of the dares, which at times felt a little too direct or uncomfortable for the FMC given her personality. That said, this didn’t take away from how much I loved the story overall.

Love and Letter Charms is sweet, cozy, and full of heart. If you love shy heroines, yearning MMCs, whimsical fantasy settings, and gentle character growth, you absolutely need to read this one 🥰

⭐ 4.5/5 stars — charming, comforting, and impossible not to love 💌

I finished reading Love and Letter Charms at 3 AM this morning 🤣. I was obsessed. I've been reading non stop since this released on Friday. I was reading while folding laundry, cause I literally couldn't put it down.
Amazing! My favorite of all time!!!
This is officially my favorite book of the entire Charmed Leaf Legacy series and my new favorite of all time 😍 I loved Aurelise as a character I relate to her so much, shyness, her social anxiety, talking about the weather, haha, doing better in writing than communicating with people in person.
I loved Ryden he was so charming and kind, caring and hilarious. I love how he pushed Aurelise to step out of her comfort zone and be bolder and do things she wouldn't do on her own. I loved seeing more of the Rowanwood family especially Evryn and Mariselle and them interacting as a married couple, being as competitive as ever, and their banter. Mariselle and Rosavyn together were just pure gold they are hysterical. I loved seeing all 4 sisters interact, it was very sweet. I loved getting to know Kazrian a bit better with him being Aurelise's twin and all, he is the sweetest most attentive twin brother ever. Evryn, being an overprotective big brother and threatening Ryden on multiple occasions, was awesome I loved it, it was endearing and funny at the same time. I loved Aurelise's character development. Her standing up to her grandmother and the high lady was Awesome. I loved the enchanted letter boxes it was so unique and interesting. I loved Aurelise and Ryden's interactions the nicknames, the jokes, the dare list it was highly entertaining. The tiny magical companions were a whole vibe, they were so adorable and funny. I don't think I've ever laughed or squealed this much in a book ever!
This book was just Amazing and I can't wait for the next one. ❤️

I woke up in the middle of the night (3 AM), remembered I NEEDED to buy this book, did so, and then spent 2 hours reading as much as possible until about 5 AM, when I simply HAD to sleep.

And then I thought about it all day at work until I got home and started where I left off as soon as I could, until I finished it about 5 minutes ago.

All that to say: This is BY FAR my favorite Charmed Leaf Legacy title so far. Aurelise is a FMC that intrinsically is easy to root for, love, and get emotionally invested in - especially as an introvert who struggles with social settings. She’s unbelievably relatable and her development from shy wallflower to a woman capable of stepping out of her comfort zone is so well plotted and carefully managed within the narrative that her growth as a character feels entirely organic and well done.

As for our male lead, Ryden, he inhabits a type of character that is 100% one of my top favorite character archetypes: the prince who wears a facade of mischief & scandal to hide an earnest heart that desperately wants to love. Literally top shelf goodness right there, and he's so well developed within the narrative. And by god does this man YEARN for love. He's practically an olympic level yearning champion and he earns that medal fair and square.

Also - the swoony vibes of the chemistry between these two characters is nearly off the charts. There's one scene, involving a pianoforte, that had me kicking my feet and trying to not scream into my pillow. I succeeded, but just barely.

I love love love this series, and I cannot wait to add the hardcover of Aurelise & Ryden's story to my trophy shelf with the first two. The next installment literally will be all I can anticipate until it arrives.

📚Book 3: The Charmed Lead Legacy Book

Tropes:
🩷 Regency-inspired setting
🩷 "The Selection" vibes
🩷 Enchanted letter exchange
🩷 A dare list
🩷 Tiny magical companions (with attitude)
🩷 Music magic
🩷 Light, cozy fantasy
🩷 Swoony, no-spice romance
🩷 Dual POV

Ahw so cute!!! The first book might be my favourite but I am loving all of the love stories. Each have their own unique story line and they are all amazing.

In this book we follow Aurelise and Prince Ryden. Aurelise discovery an enchanted box. With this box she is communicating with a mysterious gentleman through letters.
Ryden forgot about a box in his past when one day a letter appeared. Ryden and Aurelise write to each other for more than a year without knowing who is on the other side. The story takes a twist when Aurelise is invited to be part of the court consort as Prince Ryden needs to find a bride. Will the fall in love in real life as well?

This was written so well. A big part of the story takes place in letter form and it’s so much fun to follow. The letters is so well incorporated within the storyline. Aurelise and Ryden’s relationships is so good. Pen pals to lovers, friends to lovers. Aurelise is the kind of person that needs silence to recharge . Her music is part of her and helps calm her. Ryden is not the person everyone thinks he is. He needs to show au who he really is. They are the perfect balance for each other.

I really enjoyed the ending of the book. I can’t wait to read the next book. We have been introduced to there story through the books and it will finally be happening. I hope we get another love story soon as I have a feel book 5 will be a favourite as well

Thank you Rachel Morgan for sending me this book in exchange for my honest review.

I don’t even know where to begin! Love & Letter Charms completely stole my heart. It’s been such a long time since a story made me feel like this: soft, warm and enchanted in that quiet, deep way that only truly beautiful writing can.

From the very first chapter, I knew this book was something special. Rachel Morgan describes it as Bridgerton with a fairytale twist, and that’s exactly how it feels, full of elegance, charm and that slow-blooming kind of love that makes you hold your breath.

Aurelise is such a gentle, lovely heroine thats shy but full of heart and her growth throughout the story made me root for her so much. And Ryden… oh, Ryden. The kind of prince who flirts and teases, yet has the most sincere heart beneath it all. Their connection through enchanted letters was just magic. It reminded me of the thrill of first love - the kind that makes your chest ache in the best possible way.

Every scene was painted so vividly that I could see the glittering courts, hear the music and feel the emotion in every letter. The writing is lyrical, tender and so beautifully immersive that I found myself rereading lines just to linger in them a little longer.

This story felt like being wrapped in a spell - equal parts wonder, warmth and heartache. It’s one of those rare books that leaves you smiling through the pages, wishing you could step right into its world.

⭐ 5 glowing stars
A truly breathtaking, heart-tugging, fairytale romance. Rachel Morgan has written something extraordinary and I already can’t wait to read it again.

I have loved each of the books in this series and this was no exception! I feel like the characters are all so realistic & endearing!

It was fun to watch Aurelise open up, learn to be bold, and uncover her inner strength. As someone who struggled with shyness and social anxiety as a kid (but who wanted to get out there and actually do things!), I loved seeing a character who grew in a way that felt authentic without completely changing. Obviously she still preferred peace, spending time with only her close people, had big emotions, and needed time to process things, but she got to a place where those aspects of her personality didn’t have to rule her life. She could still experience adventure, make new friends, and love fully.

And Ryder was certainly charming and flirtatious, but it was nice to also see him be understanding of what Lise needed. He was patient, kind, owned up to his missteps, and helped her grow without being pushy. His tragic backstory and issues with controlling his power added a lot of depth to his character and helped make him more rootable.

I always enjoy a storyline with letters or something of the sort embedded— it gives such insight into their relationship by forcing so much conversation whereas in some books, you are told what characters are doing but hardly hear them converse. And this one did it so well, with a perfect mix of sweetness, depth, and lightheartedness. It was truly such a sweet story!

Adorable characters, enchanted letters, and a whimsical fairie world - Ahh I gobbled this book in just 2 days. I think I love almost everything about it, well maybe except that scene where the characters smoked somekind of drug leaf. But I tolerated this somekind of disturbing detail because the story was just utterly magnificent. The banter was just chef's kiss. The humor was on point - I was smiling and laughing for the most parts of this book. And it was just incredibly romantic, even without the intimate scenes (It's a closed door romance). Also, the world was just so magical. Although some of it were not anything new (like the enchanted letters), but I love the royal companions, the tea party, and balls - they were all so enchanting and whimsical. But what I love most about this book was Aurelise's character. According to her, 'she's shy to the point of invisibility'. She's the kind that considers a crowd's attention as torture. She's someone who savors invisibility and considers it blissful. Reading about Aurelise takes me back to many moments in my life where I just wanted to become invisible. And when she was made to choose betwen R and Ryden, I understood her decision. I have read a lot of shy wallflower characters in books, but reading Aurelise's character felt like a balm. It's like seeing your own fears being laid out. And I also love Ryden for understanding that she needed time and solitude when things get overwhelming. I love that he was patient with her (although he gets overwhelmed by his own emotions as well). Aurelise's growth and journey towards finding her own strength were a delight to read. It's like finding a strength inside of you, which you didn't realise you had all along. I just love our shy yet brave Lise. I think this book is a gem. And I chose to read this first before book 2 because I love epistolary stories - and my, it didn't disappoint! Highly recommended!

Amazing Series!!

I've loved every book in this series! The banter! The YEARNING. He falls first and harder. They're exactly what I look for in a cozy romantasy. The author does an excellent job of creating likeable yet distinctive main characters. I've never once had to yell what are you thinking or felt like banging my head against the wall in any of these books. Okay, maybe a bit in the first one.

Spoiler ahead! My one minor pet peeve is Lady Rivenna's character. In the first book it's mentioned that her gift is seeing the possible connections between people and she prides herself on using this knowledge to play matchmaker. I feel like it's a bit of a plot hole that she didn't see a connection between Lise and Ryden when they first began writing each other. This bothered me in the last book as well with Evryn and Mariselle, though because of the feud it made more sense that she would ignore it and I believe there was a line about that. After the first book, I thought her character would be more of a benevolent matriarch that quietly and cunningly puppeteers her family toward their destinys and turns a blind eye to impropriety for the sake of lovers but she has proven to be just a stubborn old woman set in her ways.

Everything else is perfect! 10/10 recommend!

Shy Aurelise has been exchanging letters with a stranger for a while now. She finds comfort in his words but the two of them have never met nor do they know each other's names.

When she is picked with other fae ladies to move into the castle and form a Selection-style (Bachelor-style for those who haven't read the Selection) competition for Prince Ryden's heart, Aurelise starts to panic. While she knows she doesn't like the prince and will make a horrible consort, the program itself is alot for her to handle.

Prince Ryden quickly realises that Aurelise- his best friend's sister- is the lady he has been corresponding with. But Aurelise has made it clear to Prince Ryden that she does not want to live in the castle and doesn't even want to stay through the competition. Prince Ryden makes it his mission to show Aurelise everything that she is capable of.

This was a really sweet book that I enjoyed immensely. I read it in one sitting and cannot wait for more books in this series.

Pure fun. I love these books. I read the three books that are already published in this series almost non-stop. (Next coming in 2026). Stories are stand-alone but more enjoyable read in order.

The magic in the books is entertaining but the star is the relationships and the struggles we all face.

Book 1 - a half-human learns how to exist in a magical fae world. She finds solace and help at the local tea shop and with the proprietress and her uptight son.

Book 2 - sworn enemies pretend to be engaged. Hilarity ensues with hatred overlaid with acting sweet.

Book 3 - shy girl accidentally corresponds magically with a mystery guy. Things are cute, funny, and gently spicy.

Books have excellent pacing, great editing, witty dialogue, non-stop entertainment, and some observations about human nature along the way.

I never I would say this but I feel like Ryden had to make a lot of efforts for Aurelise. I don't mean to say she didn't deserve the efforts. But it was unfair to Ryden. Just reading about the ways and lengths he had to go to, it was just tedious.

When Aurelise was trying to choose, she was thinking about darelist. Why didn't she stop to consider the fact that if it weren't for the prince, she would definitely NOT have gone through the dares at all. She would still be sulking in shadows. She didn't treat Ryden till the very end. okay, while writing it, I realise I dislike her a lot.

Everyn had this unique talent of getting on my nerves every time he was mentioned. He lost all of my respect.

I did adore the magical creatures though.

P.s,: I am still waiting for the other sister story. I have been hoping for it since book 1.

I have always believed that if a book successfully brings tears to my eyes, that’s how I know it’s a good book. And this one did that, perhaps more than once. Wow, the way I absolutely fell in love with Ryden and Audelise’s story! I started this book entirely unaware that it was the third in a series, and now I absolutely can’t wait to go back and read the first two! I loved Ryden and Audelise as characters (in no short part due to the connection I felt to Audelise, as someone with pretty bad social anxiety), but I also fell in love with the atmosphere and environment - I love the way magic is woven into the story. It’s fae in a way I feel I haven’t experienced as much in books before, so I definitely want to read more!

Ridiculously Lovely

This was the first book of the series I read and it didn’t feel at all difficult to delve into this new world. I found both main characters rather charming throughout the story. Lise handles social situations very similarly to how I do, and I loved seeing her methods of handling that as well as the framing of her as still being very strong. R was clever and filled with a kindness only we were privy to for a majority of the book. He’s so charming! I spent the whole read wishing he was real so I could banter with him. I loved them both so much and thought the ending was beautiful in how it played out!

4.5⭐️

I hated the first 25% of this book. I did not appreciate the way anyone viewed Aureliese. Even Lady Rivenna pissed me off in this book. Let's not even get to the High Lady. Also, I wanted a bit more glimpses of Iris and Jasvian. I don't think Jasvian had a scene at all, and I would've liked to see him and Iris in their new developments.

However, in terms of couples...Aureliese and Ryden take the cake of this series. The number of times I've swooned over them, squealed, giggled, it was just EVERYTHING. This is why this book gets the rating it does. I couldn't stand Ryden for a good portion, and even Aureliese annoyed me, but from that palace onwards? OMG.

Blissfully distracting!

I’ve been going through a lot recently and thanks to this book, this lovely little piece of confectionery, I have been saved with beautiful, blissful distraction whenever I could get a few moments to myself.

If you really need to smile, if you’re a hopeless romantic, if you absolutely love love, please read this. It’s my favorite so far out of the three, although I had to really think about that because the other two are equally wonderfully enchanting.

Please, please I beg you, Rachel, expand this series. Write more! I need so very much more of this world and the beauty you’ve created. It’s a salvation. Your writing, as usual, is impeccable.
