2.5 What the Hell Stars?!
Ah!! This novella was so disappointing! It totally killed my book high after finishing the last book in the Consumed trilogy. Now I just feel let down and sad.
First of all, I hate how the trilogy ended. I'm pretty fed up with heroines constantly getting pregnant at the end of books, as if that's the only way the couple can be happy in the end. Ugh. I mean, I would be happy if it happened some of the time, but it seems like the heroine gets pregnant at least 70% of the time! Really?! Is that necessary for someone to be happy? That plot line is getting pretty tired and predictable at this point.
I really did not like where Olivia and Seth's relationship was in this book. I wanted to hold on to the fantasy of their relationship staying passionate, and I didn't see why Sklya Madi felt she had to make them so normal and boring... Olivia's just a dissatisfied housewife and Seth runs a gym. He runs a gym!?! Are you kidding me?!? He goes from bad ass MMA fighter to running a gym. Wtf. I agreed with his choice to leave professional MMA, but I wish he had continued doing something fighter related; that's what defined him during the whole trilogy. I just cannot wrap my mind around the reasoning to do that.
To anyone who has read the trilogy but hasn't decided on reading this novella, I highly suggest skipping it. I know it's extremely tempting to keep reading about Seth and Olivia, but they're almost unrecognizable in this novella.

Always Consumed is a surprise novella from one of my favorite authors (Skyla Madi) as part of one of my favorite series (Consumed.) As expected, I loved it.
Overall Rating: 5 stars- Screw sleep! I’ll let the kids watch TV and eat hot dogs tomorrow.
Here’s the thing. This is a novella. If you liked the Consumed series (and you should) then you’ll love this. If you haven’t read Consumed yet, then go do that, and then make sure to get Always Consumed.
“Seth is the simplest, most complex man I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing… and I love it.”
What I loved about this was a glimpse at “real life” for Seth and Olivia. I’ve been married a while now and with marriage and jobs and kids comes…….stagnation. Even our red hot lovers are experiencing it.
“You pushed a screaming human out of your vagina and I still put my mouth on it.”
It’s now Valentine’s Day. Seth & Olivia are overworked and undersexed. Sound familiar? Yeah, me too. This little glimpse at a loving couple overcoming a snag in their marriage was just so sweet (and hot) to me.
“To be so selfless, to sacrifice your body to grow another human being… does she know how much I admire her for it? Have I told her?”
I loved it. I love this series. I love Seth & Olivia. If you haven’t checked it out, you should!
“You want our spark back? Fighting is what made you wet for me in the first place.”
Smut Factor: 5 stars- Had to wake my husband at 2am to quench my “need.”
Character likability: 5 stars- He’s my book boyfriend and I want to BE her.
Writing/editing: 4 stars: Well done!
Storytelling: 5 stars- I wake up thinking this really happened.

Yay!!! More Seth and Olivia Marc!!! ;)
Its great to see a glimpse into a couple's future that seems to mirror everyday life in a real marriage. We all get busy and find it hard sometimes to balance work and family. I enjoyed this short novella showing us how Seth and Olivia refuse to let the spark die and fight to keep their marriage as hot as before baby and work took over. I really hope we see more of them in the future even though Ms. Madi say this is the last time book for this couple.....NOOOOOOOOO!!!! Please don't break my heart like that!!!

Olivia feels like she is going to explode, she needs her husband and his attention. With Valentine ’s Day coming up, she decides to spruce up their lives. Sometime you don’t need to go to extreme, you just need to take time out for one another and remember what enthralled you both in the beginning. This was a cute and fun novella.

Such a beautiful read as we get a peek into Olivia and Seth's lives now that they are parents and living as a family without all that stress of fights and that extra drama of rivalry. Yet there's something changed as their lives has hardly left them anytime for each other and for the first time both of them struggle to find themselves back and their relationship. Loved this and I'm gonna miss them so much but I'm so excited to be diving into the slammed series which is Jackson and Selena's story. Those two are the definition and height of complicated. So can't wait to find out their ride. 💖💖💖

Great ending to this series.
Awesome way to keep your readers enraptured, starting with a rocky sport in their marriage, leaving us on the edge. I was enthralled by the entire series . Love me some bad boy alpha males, they always seem to always promise the most stories.

I both love and hate that this novella was released. I love it because I get to read more of Seth and Olivia's story, but that's also the reason I hate it. I had just come to terms with finishing book 3! Now I have to miss them all over again!!
This was a quick, steamy read. There was a lot of emotion packed into 71 pages and the characters were great as always. It was a fun read that kept a smile on my face most of the way through and I enjoyed watching the Seth ad Olivia reconnect. I won't say any more about the story as it's so short, but if you've read and loved this series I'd definitely recommend adding it to your collection.
At least I've got Jackson's story still to read do I'm not at a total loss.

This is a short novella completely centered around Olivia and Seth’s plans for Valentine’s Day. It is a short fun read for fans of the series but doesn’t add much to the series as a whole.
Personally, as a fan of the series, I loved seeing them together again and dealing with an issue that everyone that’s in a long term relationship has dealt with…finding something new and exciting to spice up the relationship with! What happens when you get bogged down by every days tasks, work, diaper changes, laundry, cleaning etc. Can Seth and Olivia find a way to break free from the mundane and find what they once were?
5 stars! I definitely recommend this novella!

What do you do when there are so many things pulling you in every direction except towards the one you love. Olivia and Seth are overwhelmed and can't find time to just be with each other. Sex is a distant memory and Olivia is afraid that if they don't make time for each other they won't be able to get out of the rut that have fallen into. Valentine's Day is coming up and she wants to do something different. Will it bring back the spark that is waiting to rekindle?
Great reading how they fight to get back to when they first fell in love. Great series! You can't help falling in love with Seth and Olivia.

Great Valentine's day story about Seth and Olivia trying to rekindle the spark in their relationship. After a couple years together, a baby and work in the way Seth and Olivia are too busy to spend time together as a couple. And for Valentine's day they decide to spent the night out and find their way to the how they used to be. They still loved each other very much just needed to spend time away from the baby and the gym and just be together. It was a cute, short story.

Now that they're married and have Chloe their daughter all the while juggling the gyms, they haven't found much time for each other. Every time they try to sneak a little action, something comes up with work or the baby. So on Valentine's Day Olivia makes a plan to bring back the spark. What she didn't know, was that they just needed to remember how it all started.

It was nice getting to see two of my favorite people...it was an enjoyable little read I love all things Seth Marc and the story was easy to relate to because every young family has been through the whole needing to find balance and not letting life get in the way of happiness. If you love Seth and Olivia you'll enjoy this novella.

I like this series and am sad to see it end. Only issue I had with this novella is the setting. They live near Portland Maine and over valentines day they're walking barefoot and enjoying warm breezes??? its 9 degrees today and there is over 4 feet of snow on the ground! sure, its maybe not as sexy to be walking around in parkas but I found it distracting as written.

When I heard Skyla was creating a small add on to the Consumed Series the excitement was real!
This small add on book gives us a glimpse of life after Chloe and how sometimes you can lose the couple you were before children.

It was short and sweet. I think every now and then everyone gets into a rut, life happens along with a job and kids. Olivia is lonely and she is trying desperately to have him all to herself, but life comes about. She comes up with a plan for V- Day but nothing ever goes as planned. LOL But they find each other and the spark is back!

Olivia and Seth have such a fun, romantic story. Reading about a little bump in the road of their relasionship was fun. It was fun to go back to them and see what has happened. I loved reading how they worked to get back to how they were. Anyone in a relationship has gone through what they went through. I just thought this was a fun story and great to get a little peak at Seth and Olivia again!

Okay, so I didn't care for this one as much as the other three. Our sexy couple have been together awhile, the excitement has started to dim. I can see right away there are some serious issues going on here. I enjoyed reading about their life after the baby, and I'm glad they got things back on track!

If you loved Seth and Olivia's story so far, you'll enjoy this little Valentine's Day addition. This short novella shows them in a funk in their marriage due to everyday life and their quest to get it back on track with Valentine's Day plans. I could read about this couple forever, so I'm always happy to see more from them.

Love reading about Olivia and Seth but why are they still friends with Selena and Jackson? Gah I hate those two. Other than that, the book was great. Just wish it ended with them getting new friends
