Matt Pavlik has been a committed follower of Christ since 1991 and a professional counselor since 2000. He is the founder of his private practice New Reflections Counseling and the Christian Concepts blog. For over two decades, he has guided individuals and couples toward emotional healing and spiritual clarity.

Matt's pastoral writing style helps believers understand and apply God’s truth, encouraging spiritual growth. His work invites readers to move from confusion to assurance, from striving to resting—anchored in the truth of their identity in Christ. He draws inspiration from his walk with Christ, biblical insights, and his experience counseling thousands.

Secure in Christ reflects Matt’s approach to counseling and discipleship that is deeply incarnational—emphasizing the lived reality of Christ’s presence within each believer. Rather than offering abstract theology or behavior-based solutions, Matt helps readers experience spiritual transformation through relational connection, emotional honesty, and the indwelling life of Christ. His layered metaphors and practical reflections equip readers to stand on solid ground—no longer defined by fear or failure, but by the unwavering love of God.

Matt lives in Ohio with his wife and children. He continues to write, counsel, and build communities that foster transformation through truth and grace. To explore more of Matt’s writing and resources for spiritual formation, find him online at Christian Concepts.

This is a good book - what really shines through is the pastoral counselling experience of the author. Our assurance of salvation has so many implications - knowledge is one thing - assurance is another. Therefore, in practice reminders like this book are so important. It’s so common to live as though we were uncertain…. The author rightly distinguishes between what we know, and how we feel.
