Every book can be read as a standalone mystery - hop in anywhere in the series. By USA Today, Wall Street Journal & Amazon All-Star bestselling author Amy Vansant. When the eldest sister of the Four Sisters tomato sauce dynasty is plagued by night terrors that she thinks might be related to something sinister that happened in their home, Charlotte and Declan are invited to explore the possibilities. Is the big Florida farmhouse haunted? Has the sister repressed a terrifying memory?
Either way, the detectives aren't sure they're the right people to call, but the pay is good, the food is delicious, and the case gets Mariska and Darla an invite to the sisters' annual Bark at the Moon Pet Costume Contest and Halloween Party. Good enough.
When a giant wolf-dog with glowing eyes prowls the garden, the peculiar nosy neighbor seems up to no good, and the family secrets start spilling at a frightening pace, Charlotte and Declan start to think there's more to the case than bad dreams.

This is the first book I have ready by this author. I had to snicker occasionally at the banter between the sisters and some of the things that the younger two did to see if they could “scare” up a few things. I do recommend this book is you like cozy mysteries. I won this book in a Goodreads giveaway.
I enjoyed this book. This book was slightly different to the previous books in this series, in the fact that there was only one story running and what a story it is. Don't get me wrong that wasn't a bad thing but it is unusual for this author to not have a side story running in the background with the sidekicks providing the humour for the whole book. It also doesn't mean Mariska and Darla aren't around to provide that because they certainly are and in a way that only they can. Instead Charlotte and Declan are not actually working a case but helping to provide peace of mind, of course that doesn't last long and they are soon digging in to an intriguing mystery. The mystery was unusual but I loved how it all played out and yes it has me chuckling. This is the type of series that you can read or even listen to again and again because there is so much going on, it is sure to put a smile on your face. I can't wait for the next adventure.
Charlotte and Declan are invited to stay at a haunted house, the eldest sister is having nightmares and with the doctors claim nothing is wrong with her, her sister's hire them to get to the bottom of what is troubling her. Can they uncover what she doesn't want or can't remember? Asking questions has them looking into the sisters past and uncovering secrets, all while attending the sister's doggy themed Halloween party. With Mariska, Darla and the pups in attendance what could go wrong? Some secrets aren't meant to stay buried. I was given this free review copy book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
This is the twenty-fifth book in the Pineapple Port Mystery Series. It was a bit different from the others as there really was only one case and it revolved around the sisters. The sisters live on a farm and produce wonderful pasta sauce made from tomatoes on their farm.
Declan & Charlotte are hired to provide peace of mind for the oldest who thinks she is going crazy. Her doctors tell her nothing is wrong with her. She is having trouble getting a good night’s rest and apparently sleep walks. Enter Declan and Charlotte to try and figure out what is going on. As they work the issue a mystery presents itself. It is rooted in the past but reaches into the present. I loved Turbo, the bone dog, Mariska, Darla, and Frank. Frank thinks he can teach the dogs to be cadaver dogs. This leads to some chuckles for the reader.
In true Charlotte and Declan fashion, they get to the bottom of the sister's issues and solve a mystery or two by the end of the book.
I enjoyed every scene. I was given an advanced copy. These are my own opinions.
The 4 Sorelle Sisters r The Famous Four Sister Tomato Sauce! They call on Charlotte and Declan to help them solve what’s wrong with the eldest sister, Luna. Once they get to the farm they r surprised at its side. The sisters r preparing a dog Halloween party! Of course, Darla and Mariska want an invite. We know how Turbo, Darla’s dog gets her name. I loved this book. It was the most intense of all the books! I loved the sisters. Each with their own distinct personality! I loved the humor between Charlotte and Declan. I highly recommend this book and this series! I can’t wait for the next book!
That's all remember this is a cozy mystery so don't expect five stars. That being said I have researched but have not been able to find a drawing of the back of what I assumed was a Hammond organ. I cannot figure out how one good stuff a recently killed body into the back of an organ much less how it could've stayed there for decades without being discovered. I know this is a spoiler but if anybody has been able to figure that out let me know. This is listed as a Halloween book but I see it more of it a murder mystery type book.
Charlotte and Declan investigate the strange goings on in a house of four sisters, all with very different personalities. There is also their Halloween dog event at the house to cope with which gets very interesting when Darla’s dog discovers an old secret. As ever there are lots of entertaining moments in this humorous mystery. Delightful characters, dogs, fun and an interesting investigation. I really like the author's writing style.
Well as usual I was totally caught off guard with the ending of this book. Never saw all that coming, WOW. Charlotte and Declan help the three Sorelle sisters solve murders & mysteries they never knew about. Mariska and Darla and the dogs provide comic relief, and I am still wondering how many nights Frank had to spend on the couch after the “borrowed bone” fiasco. I received an ARC and have left this voluntary and honest review
Dive into the Pineapple Port mysteries, where each page promises an exhilarating journey through intricate plot twists and charming character interactions. The series captivates readers with its razor-sharp dialogue and compelling narrative, offering an irresistible blend of humor and suspense that keeps you eagerly turning pages until the final, satisfying revelation.
oh boy! Cozy mystery with a dark edge..... this was a great addition to the Pineapple Port series, and some dark fun for the Hallowe'en season. Add in some snark, and slapstick, and you've got a very fun read. Received as an early gift from the author's newsletter, I've read (and enjoyed) the entire series.
Charlotte and Declan are invited to the 4 sisters tomato sauce home to help solve why the oldest sister is having nightmares. Meanwhile Frank is training his dog to be a cadaver dog without letting his wife know. At the annual Halloween party for the pets and neighbors Frank's dog makes a discovery. Great reading always changing story
Charlotte and Declan are invited to a country house to try to solve a mystery and attend a Halloween dog themed party. The house is owned by four sisters and the eldest has recently started acting strangely. Details are slowly revealed with lots of twists and turns in the plot. A great story.
I laughed then teared up and laughed until I cried. These 4 sisters are the best. They will make you laugh and cry at the same time. Ryan & Vally will have a story to tell forever. Enjoy!
Enjoyed this story. After reading a couple of books by other authors, I was pleased to see this show up. Read it in one afternoon into evening. Glad to be back to focusing on our main PIs after book 24. This book ended too quickly.
Ms. Vansant wrote a terrific mystery about past murders, doggy mayhem, and complicated family dynamics. Charlotte and Declan compliment each other to make a great detective team.
Good story and addition to the Pineapple Port Mysteries series. The Halloween themed story was very interesting. I am looking forward to the next novel.
Another Keeper Same great twisty plot, colorful characters, a murder or two to solve and plenty of laughs continue to make this series a definitively blindly buy book! Highly recommend!
Another great addition to this series. And of course another crazy case for Charlock Holmes Agency. The mystery is well plotted and kept my interest throughout. The characters are engaging and of course a bit zany. There are plenty of laughs as well as the mystery to solve. Loved this book!
I received an arc of this book and voluntarily provided a review.
