I don’t know why I did this to myself 😭. Just no, I’m sorry.
I didn’t hate this at first I thought maybe it was going to be a 3 stars but more and more things that I hated just kept happening.
It don’t get why she was so determined to get her pack back, I get it’s her rightful place and all as the heir but these people literally mocked and looked down on her for years and years for having no wolf and were on everyone else’s side and she still wanted to lead them. Yh no thanks. And don’t get me started with the whole Damien’s first mate, Rielle, drama hell fucking no. I’m sorry but there was no way I could rate it above 2 stars and that didn’t even feel quite right, so it gets 1.5. There were just so many things that were stressing me out and pissing me off.

I didn't hate this book, but oh boy, it could have been better. The story was actually not too terrible, and the writing wasn't bad. There were technical issues, for sure, and other things that don't make sense to me, either.
The technical issues are everywhere. There are random, sudden breaks within a chapter that don't mean anything. Either the break is a break in the continuity or it isn't present. Having them in there randomly for no reason is driving me nuts! Maybe I'll get lucky and the author will figure it out. (I'm not holding my breath).
This book also ran into the almost-obligatory punctuation issues. There was at least one instance of missing quotation marks. There was also one spot where a paragraph just started up in the middle of a sentence.
So, we never really found out why she wanted to be leader of her pack so much. Why did she not already take control when she was of age? Once literally the entire pack betrayed her, why would she want to go back, and how could she trust them at all after that?
One little thing that doesn't make sense, either, is if Rielle was his fated mate, then how is Raven his fated mate? If it is such a rare thing that it pretty much doesn't happen any more, why does Damien get 2?
Once last thing, the constant calling him Alpha Damien rather than just Damien got really annoying. I already know he is Alpha, and I don't need his title with every single reference to him.

This was a fun surprise! I didn’t get bored. There’s the usual inconsistencies and plot holes but not nearly as bad as usual.
So the h is in love but finds her fiancé Elias cheating with her cousin and ends up sleeping with Elias uncle. After she learns her pack council is in on it she’s left to hide. She does a few stupid things for someone in hiding but eh.
The heroine and the Uncle, Raven and Damien, cross paths again and after much ado Damien learns she’s pregnant and coerces her into an arrangement (we know the kind). This is a bit refreshing because while there’s definitely BBS Raven actually attempts to keep mental boundaries in place when Damien is cruel to her and there’s some definite gut punches that hit hard.
Now- I wish the author put more effort into the last 30% because that’s where it really got good with the return of Damien’s “dead” ex fated mate who he brings into the house. I could have used more grovel here because wow does he neglect his h. Also the 2 people that tried to kill Raven were supposed to get a death sentence and instead were just banished. The ending wasn’t entirely satisfying, but I really enjoyed the characters and main story.

A brilliant action packed shifter romance, with passion, betrayal, misunderstandings, drama, pack war, conflict, tension, secrets, love and a HEA. The main characters have wonderfully strong personalities, fighting for their friends, loved ones and family.
When Raven realises her fiancé is cheating on her with her cousin and they plan to take her birthright she leaves the pack and goes into hiding, having had no other family left since her parents were killed. But the company she joins is being taken over and her new CEO turns out to the be wolf she had a one-night stand with after discovering Elias' deception. Not only that he's Elias' uncle, and she was pregnant with his pup.
Damien has been looking after Elias since his sister died and doesn't know where he went wrong with his nephew, but he knows he doesn't want to name him as the Alpha Heir until he can trust his actions. He also can't stop thinking about the women in the hotel who left before he woke, until he thinks he sees her again in his new accusation, though he has little memory of the night. He believes she's not the one, though he can't get her out of his mind and finds himself increasingly possessive & protective of her.
But there's a serial killer on the loose and with Damien's pack is being blamed they are seemingly on the brink of war. With his council demanding he name an heir, and his ex-mate returning, seeming with no memory of why she'd left, will he realise in time what Raven is to him?

Really enjoyed this story! Love reading about shifters especially werewolves. Raven Nightbane and Damien Blackwell. Raven is the Alpha Heir of the Ivory Moon Pack. Damien is the Alpha of the Shadow Throne Pack. Raven is having a mating ceremony very soon to Elias. The night before the ceremony Raven came upon her cousin, Ivy, and Elias together in his room. Raven could not believe it! So heartbroken Raven could not go home. She ends up going to a Hotel. While waiting for her room she goes to the Bar. While there this attractive male stranger wolf comes near her. There is something about him that she cannot stop staring so she needs to leave and head towards the elevator. Just as she gets in the elevator the stranger follows her in and won’t let her leave. He gets really close and she freezes. Her body reacts to him very strongly and they end up in his room. The next morning she wakes up and notices that this is not her room and someone is sleeping next to her. OMG!!! What did she do? Later when she went to the mating ceremony she is ready to reject Elias but everyone turned on her. Not only did she lose her Alpha Heir status but also being made to mate with a wolf who appears as old as a grandfather to her. How could her Pack do this? It must have been planned. She will not do this. She escapes and her friend helped her get a job away from her Pack. Now where she is working there is a new CEO taking over. When the man came into the room Raven is shocked. What is he doing here? This is a nightmare of epic proportions!
Sometimes fate has other plans so hang on get comfortable with a glass of your favorite wine …wait grab the whole bottle of wine and a few snacks. Raven has lost everything her parents the alpha heir about to be mated into the Blackwell family but it is all a show they were out to ruin her, her fiancé is cheating on her with her cousin, the day of her mating they try and force her to marry some old shifter instead she runs with help of her best friend ends up sleeping with a total stranger due to being drugged. Fast forward she knows her family is looking for her as they can’t take over her pack without either killing her or hiding her from the world with her being the alpha heir but to do that they need to find her first so she moves gets a job and wouldn’t you know her boss is the man she slept with none other than her fated mate. Damien sexy as all get out alpha uncle to her ex. fiancé whom her boss, he isn’t a man you want on your radar, one to be feared for the most part, he remembers the women, and he can’t get her out of his mind no matter how hard he tries. The magnetic pull between them is there but will he figure out too late that she is his fated mate too late or will he realize it time to save her, will her family catch up to her, will his nephew which happens to be his ex. fiancé, will the world learn the truth of her being the alpha heir, will the council learn the truth of what happen to her, and is happiness written for her?
I honestly loved this book. From the very first chapter, I felt the heroine’s heartbreak and understood why she ran it made me root for her instantly. Then putting her right under Damien Blackwell’s nose? Genius. The tension between them was so addictive, every glance and every moment behind closed doors had me holding my breath.
What really got me was the twist with Damien’s long-lost mate returning. I didn’t see that coming, and my heart broke right along with the heroine’s. And then the pregnancy reveal? Whew… I had to set the book down for a second.
It was emotional, steamy, and full of surprises. By the end, I wasn’t ready to leave these characters. Such a beautiful story. I’m definitely looking forward to more from this author.
Raven is driven away from her pack to escape a coup. After having started a new life she finds out her new boss is the same man she spent a heated night with. Damien isn't sure who she is at first but can't deny that they have a connection. This story was full of surprises that kept my interest, but it still had things that conflicted. Overall, it was an enjoyable read.

It started off really good, I couldn't put it down but at times during the book it was a bit slow, then it picked up again and was really good. Lots of drama and twists.

The weird a.i. cover doesnt actually match the description of the characters, which is interesting... and confusing. Also the happily ever after ending got a little pro-life and went on waaaaay too long. The rest was entertaining enough, though!
Wow la trame super bien construite tout au long de l'histoire. Captivant du début à la fin. Félicitations à l'auteure qui nous transportes dans l'intrigue d'un chapitre à l'autre.
I hoped this book would be juicy & exciting!! I wasn’t wrong!! Suspense, action, fighting & love!! Can’t ask for more!! Kept me reading insanely until the end!! Bravo! Well written-!
So many thoughts, but my big one was that the MMC wasn’t attractive. Like at all. His personality sucked. And these packs all seemed like the worst judges of character ever.
