These were not the people she was expecting to see. Jesse stopped short.
Nash Investigations was hired by the family of the missing birthday girl. At eighteen, she’d gone out to party and never come home. Her friends each told a very different story to the police. The police told the family there was nothing they could do. Their land wasn’t covered by this jurisdiction. By any jurisdiction. They’d wiped their hands of the case.
No one was even looking for her. Except Nash Investigations…
But when she stepped into the building, it seemed the entire town looked back at Jesse. Everyone who had given a dollar, or ten, was waiting to hear from her. She’d had the uneasy feeling this wasn’t some typical missing persons case.
She wasn’t sure what she was supposed to say. What questions to ask.
Standing beside the family, Cindy and Georgia silently stared at her. Subtly, they both shook their heads no.
Don’t do it. Don’t say what you’re thinking. Don’t ask. Whatever you think this is, you’re wrong…
All the girls by A. J. Scudiere , a book in the Hangman series. Jesse, Cindy, and Georgia are asked to find a native American girl who disappeared in Oklahoma. Once they go looking, they realize it is more than a missing girl. Indigenous girls have gone missing for years. They join up with Shana part of the MMIW. With Georgia talent and Shana from the MMIW they find her. But this is not all they find – it is bigger than just missing girls. They also find more clues and information on Georgia’s mother. This book was very intense and fast moving. It was hard to read but worth it. Recommended
When Jesse Nash agrees to help a friend find her missing sister, Enola, she has no idea the case will spiral far beyond anything she ever expected. Alongside the rest of the team at Nash Investigations, Georgia and Cindy, Jesse is pushed to the absolute edge of death. Along the way, the investigation forces them to confront a heartbreaking reality shared by countless individuals, even as personal stakes rise: Cindy uncovers new layers of herself, and Georgia stumbles upon a crucial clue for her own private mission. AJ masterfully crafts this installment, wrapping a deeply educational message inside a gripping narrative. The story draws readers in completely, shedding light on real-world horrors while building profound empathy. It is the kind of book that leaves anyone with a heart desperate to help, even if that means simply spreading awareness.
A fantastic storyline! If you are at all familiar with this writer, you know you are in for another great book.
Less of the supernatural side of things and more heart wrenching horrific humans and the evil they can do. I could not put this book down. I want to meet the protagonists for dinner !
A young nurse is missing in Oklahoma. Jesse, Georgia, and Cindy are there to help Jesse's friend with this case. Ride along with them on this rollercoaster case that leads them to places they never imagined they would be!
The narrative profoundly moved me. AJ masterfully conveyed an extraordinarily difficult story. I managed only to reach the midpoint before having to stop. The emotional weight became so overwhelming that continuing felt unbearable. I Congratulate AJ for writing a story that need to be written.
