Great Series, Horrible Editing!!!
I have read all 38 books of the Jessie Hunt series by Blake Pierce. While I love the plots,characters, and over all story development, I continue to be disappointed in the editing! There are errors in EVERY SINGLE book, from misspelled words, punctuation, double words, wrong pronouns used,and even wrong characters names used. I am a retired teacher by profession, currently a reading specialist, and a very avid reader. How is it that we stress upon students the importance of reading, good writing, and editing when things like this actually get published and people (authors) make money off it?? Like I said I love the series and story line and even think it would make a great TV series. I will finish reading the series to satisfy my own desire to "know" how it ends, but I will not read or recommend any more of Blake Pierces books! :-(

Anyone reading the series isn’t going to start at book 38. Save the review of the plot from previous books and give content, Blake Pierce.
The audio narrator needs to work on pronunciation. Also, a counselor (Ms Lemon) who is in her 60s or 70s shouldn’t sound like a teenager in the narration.
While I don’t love the narrator, the plot was interesting with rich yacht guys getting knocked off because of something they were doing to women. It’s a little graphic with each killing and the blood, but I felt like there was a storyline.
Can Jessie and Ryan just come to a decision about a baby and move forward? It’s always tension in the background. I get Jessie’s point - her body can’t handle much more. And would either Jessie or Ryan give up work to care for an adopted child?
Ash Pierce missing in the background of the book - creepy. Definitely created suspense.

Jessie is requested to join forces with the LA Sheriff's Department to solve the case of a rich man found dead in his sailboat. She's paired with Detective Riddell who is not willing to work with her. As they start to dig into the case another killing happens involving a friend of the previous deceased. Things escalate fast and soon they'll discover that there were more problems involving the group of friends and that they shared secrets. The story is fast-paced, full of action, and has an interesting end that opens many options for the series next steps.

So good!
I'm hooked and pre-ordered the next four that are coming out in 2025! The character development and storyline have me devouring these books as fast as possible. I love a book where it is hard to guess who the killer is.
