Talea Love Bellamy can’t catch a break when it comes to love. She gets the short end of the stick so much that she’s starting to wonder if she’s the problem. It doesn’t help that all her brothers and sisters have happy relationships and children. Two things she’s always wanted by the time she hit her late 20’s. Her 20’s have come and gone, and all her plans have blown up in her face. After her latest failed relationship she’s hurt, vulnerable, and horny, so she does something out of character with someone she has no business getting with. Forbidden fruit just so happens to be more desirable. But it’s just one night…right? That’s if she can stay away. *This is a standalone*
This was my favorite book from this author, the story was cute the romance was present and I loved the family aspects. It’s 3.5 for me cus trying to break down the large family tree with multiple family member cameos got distracting af. I think just having the family tree would’ve made it clearer and less time consuming to try and place all the siblings. Additionally there was a few spelling and grammar issues but none so jarring that I’d be completely annoyed. I liked Taleah and I liked King the chemistry was off the charts and they def had some sweet moments. I just couldn’t fully get into him being her exes cousin lol like I get it love is love but if you in a major city I feel like it’s other fish in the sea lmao. Good story overall though.
I absolute do not read books where women keep it in the family. It’s usually an auto DNF. Ms. Cion Lee, idk how you got me to finish it but I did and i wasn’t disappointed. I mean Talea annoyed me a little because she was in her head too much but they were valid questions because had been scarred by 1 too many men. I’m glad King ain’t give a fly eff about that being his cousin because I just wanted Talea to be happy. Plus since I had already connected with her from the previous books with her sisters. I wanted her to find her happiness as well. If that meant being with King, so be it. Now you knowwww I want to read more about Nancy and Kane. I just know he playing in that girl face. Pleassse keep it going. You write so well and I love your books even if the characters piss me off.
I love that Talea got her story, her Love, and HEA. It was so good the meet King and his brothers. His daddy side of the family were POS.
The only thing i didn’t like about Talea is how she (and the other ladies) were coming for nancy. She don’t believe in making up and Talea started talking shit about her. But when her man Mykel dogged her out she cut his whole family out, so if Nancy is a little off so be it. They were being petty for no reason. Other than that I was a big Talea supporter.
I’m definitely interested in getting Kane and Kaiser stories. And if Nancy isn’t the MFC in Kane’s then I’d love for her to get her own bc sounds like Kane’s been a fuckboy to her. I hope she’s not made into a bad character to amplify a love interest for him. I’m always down for a new book by Ms. Cion Lee
Love how King and Talea’story came full circle. Hate that so many parents (Booker and Terrell) are dead beat,or enablers (Toya.) Like Karita said, something must be wrong with Beatrice, since she raised Booker and Toya. Loved how Talea stood her ground and demanded no less. Man like Tone and the women (not girls)who accept the bare minimum are the worst, and have the audacity to not wanting to be called out for their actions. Five ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ for always bringing a good plot.
As always I loved this one even more than the last🫶🏾 i was extremely excited to finally see Talea have her well deserved Happily Ever After! Ive been rooting for her since she picked Tati up from that woman (her granny) house🙄. As always Ms. Cion gets better and better with every release🫶🏾 now im just ready for Jamaya and Tavior, and Blaze and Chanel’s story💕
I enjoyed the level of self respect and high regard Talea had for herself. King also played no games with his own heart. This was a mature and sexy read for grown folks. No games were played and love was deep, sensual and real. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. I was getting fatigued by childish men and women harming each other and cheating.
NOLA is one of my favorite series by Cion Lee and Talea was one of my favorite characters. I’m so glad that she finally got her happily ever after. Such a beautiful story!!
I loved seeing Talea come out on top. Especially after Tone and his family tried to play my girl and embarrassed her at that dinner. I loved that she got her happy ending…and hey if that happened to include his family then so be it.
I love everything about her story. The happy ending.. to everything.. her story was different from her siblings. But the same at the same time it always a good read from you..
This was such a feel good story for me!! Talea got what she wanted...REAL LOVE FROM A REAL MAN!!! Tone was a non mfkn FACTOR!!! I just LOVE the Bellamy siblings. Their relationship is top tier!!!
I enjoyed this book very much Ms Cion Lee. I hope to enjoy more stories written by you.. by the way this was the book I read on you but it definitely want be the last… I’m so happy that Talea got her happily ever after she deserved it.
I was anticipating Talea’s story and while it was good it definitely felt rushed. I wish we would’ve gotten more back story and a chance for their story to build.
Perfect book to read after finishing something heavy the intertwined characters and lyrics were a bit redundant though. I overall enjoyed the story though
