Tammy Falkner lives on a farm in a lovely, sprawling little town in rural NC with her beekeeper husband and a house full of boys, a few dogs, and a cat or two (or five – who has time to count?). As half of the Lydia Dare team, she has co-written ten books, including the Westfield Wolves series and the Gentlemen Vampyre series. A huge fan of Regency England, she often wonders what other kinds of magical, mythical and strange creatures might live and interact within the ton. Exploring the theory that the fae can walk between Regency England and their own land, Tammy spends as much time as possible with the lords and ladies of society, horse-drawn carriages, and elegant balls. Now add to that some faeries, a little murder, a bit of mayhem, and a troublesome garden gnome, and you have her exciting new series. She hopes you enjoys her world as much as she does.

3.5 Finally Figuring It All Out Stars
* * * 1/2 Spoiler Free
Tammy Faulkner takes people who would normally be dismissed or ignored and makes them everyday heroes. She introduced our main characters Josh and Star during her last Reed book. Both would seem to have nothing in common but mutual friends and co-workers through the Reed family... but through this tale... we learn they have more in common than what meets the eye. The surprise will be both are so damaged by life and should be cynical and harsh, actually having this direct almost innocence in the way they end up being together with each other.

You have Star... lead singer of the group Fallen from Zero.
She and her sister lost their parents early and were shuffled around the foster system until they landed with a wonderful couple who now are the only parents they can see themselves with. Star, as the oldest, made sure to protect her younger sister from all of the unseemly things which were inflicted on her before they found Emilio and Marta. She developed a need to be perfect and make sure everything was just so. As she became a woman... she still worked to make all think she was that normal, perfect person... even though she knew deep down she wasn't even close... or never would be.

With Josh, we had a new lost soul the Reeds gave a chance. With a prison record and gang tats, he had major hurdles to overcome...and with his wheelchair and lost use of his legs, the looks of fear and mistrust were common to him. The pain he wore like a hair shirt, a constant reminder of the penance he needed to do. The Reeds gave him a chance, though... and he had proven himself to be loyal and caring. He showed his selflessness during a family crisis and now he was part of the clan.

These two come together on the night when another Reed will be born. All were gathered and celebrating an event for Fallen From Zero when Star decided to dance on the baby grand piano. Refusing to come down, Josh and her sisters maneuver her off and somehow she ends up in his lap. At that time, chaos happens with water breaking and Reeds going to the Hospital. Offering to get Star sober and then join them for the baby's birth...Josh ends up taking her to his place.

He has her close to him...taking in her scent, feeling a warm body draped across his and holding his neck... something which has not happened in years...He sees more, though... he sees the little lost girl... the one always holding it so tightly together for fear of falling apart... and it touches his heart.

They get to his place and he puts her in his bed to sleep it off. Star reaches out and asks for him to just hold her...and he does. She awakens and is stunned...her clothes are on minus her strappy shoes. She is a little confused...he didn't make a move and she is not used to people treating her kindly.

The two of them start talking and Josh, almost blunt, ask what set her off. It showed he was watching her before this... that he really saw her, the scared girl child, and she is touched.

Circumstances happen to cause Star to fight with her sisters. She does not want to go home and is ready to go to a hotel. Josh surprises himself when the words come from his mouth," you could stay with me". They both look at each other, a nod passes...yes, she will.

This book has two people carrying so much emotional weight, it has caused them to live more in their own heads than with others.

Josh has learned from his life in the chair how people can disregard and dismiss. He has experienced much. Star, as a famous singer, has had people treat her as a product and never see her as just a person. Both have arrested development in the romance department so communicating about these things tends to be direct from Josh or confused sometimes with Star and both have this innocence I mentioned earlier. It could be off-putting at first because understanding the warmth which lies beneath is key.

Faulkner handles those with disabilities perfectly. She presents the situation, gives the readers the correct mindset and lets the characters fly. She has done this repeatedly throughout her series and this was no different. Her skilled writing realistically approached sex with someone with lower-body trauma. Josh didn't know what was up with his equipment until it was awakened by Star. How all of it played out was perfect.

I appreciated both of these characters. They had lived through so much and needed to love themselves, let things go so they could move forward. This story did this for them and we were able to see them grow and accept.

The best, though, was seeing all the Reeds in their glory. These people warm the heart; they tease and play and love like warriors.

I am sure there are more tales with the Fallen from Zero women and younger generations of Reeds are growing...so eventually, they too will be in the picture. All I know, is I will be looking for more.

(Trigger warning: sexual child abuse in past)

Sadly, I didn't love it as much as previous books. I had hard time with connecting to the main couple; they just didn't do it for me. Frankly, there was no chemistry between them. I still enjoyed my fix of The Reeds of course *sigh*.

An incredibly sweet, moving and sexy book with a tender, funny and caring man and an equally delightful heroine that will touch your heart with the range of emotions Tammy Falkner is so good at evoking.

Amazon US -> http://amzn.to/1yxdN4i

Several years ago, Josh made a decision that irrevocably changed the course of his life and that of three others. He has marks both on the outside and in. He’s lived alone and with nothing, but now he’s been given a chance to put his life back on track. Can his road include love and forgiveness?

Star has the picture-perfect image of beauty, fame and wealth. But beneath all the flawless creases hides a woman whose ill-treated childhood rules her adult life not letting anyone near. Can this marked man get past her walls? Can she be what he needs? Will she be good enough?

Just because the Reed brothers are all happily married and procreating like love struck rabbits doesn’t mean we can’t have more strong, loveable men in our eReaders. And Tammy Falkner is just the author who can give us beautiful stories that include life lessons surrounded by a bunch of teasing characters with steadfast love for one another.
“I like people who don’t see the chair...”
“I think it’s okay to see our differences. And even appreciate them. But not to judge people based on them.”

The anticipation I felt for this story was incredible, not just because Josh is not a Reed, but because I was intrigued by what the Reeds saw in him in the previous books that made them include him in their close knit family.

I could say I didn’t know what to expect but that would be a lie because anyone who is acquainted with Tammy’s writing knows they would get a sexy guy who understands how to love his woman. I knew I would get an escape into a "lovey dovey" story with very family centered values. I knew I would get a wonderful story made more beautiful by the strong emotional moments the characters face.
“It’s almost like she knows I’m about to break. I feel like with one word, I might crack into a million tiny pieces. Like one word will shatter me.”

With Zip, Zero, Zilch (book 6 in the series) bridging the Reed brothers with the Fallen From Zero band, we now get to see each of the Zero girls have their own happy ending. Good Girl Gone focuses on Star and Josh’s story which is filled with adorable, charming, delightful moments
“I got you a tux and shoes and I even bought you new underwear with rhinestones that cost a lot of money, just so your junk would be bejeweled and spectacular.”

as well as achy heartbreaking ones.
His lips hover over mine, almost touching, but not. He takes my hand and lays it over his heart. “I hurt,” he says, his voice cracking. “Make it stop. Please.” He closes his eyes tightly, like he’s praying. “Please, Star. Please make it go away.”

Since his accident, Josh hasn’t been interested in women until Star literally lands on his lap and makes him and all his guy parts pay attention. Star has never met a man she liked or more accurately, she’s never met a man she wanted to get close to. Even though there’s fun flirting and undeniable attraction between them, there are more difficult hindrances than Josh’s wheelchair.
“Carried me?” He pats his legs.
“In my lap. You were admiring my package.” He grins.
“I hope you’re talking about a gift.”
“Could be, if you play your cards right.”

They both have reasons to be closed off and be on guard. Josh has a difficult time believing this beautiful woman can see past his disability, much less his past. But an appearance from Star’s youth has given them the opportunity to spend time together and get to know each other.

I loved Josh. He’s so incredibly tough on the outside but so vulnerable on the inside. It was so sweet and sexy how he was with this strong yet breakable woman. He’s so honest about how he feels about her while Star is so incredibly supportive, helping him face and accept his past.

Because Star has a sad past of her own. She’s never been intimate with a man of her own free will. She even has an agreement with a gay friend to pose as her fake boyfriend so she can keep up appearances and avoid uncomfortable questions. But Josh’s tenderness and willingness to take care of her, to go at her own pace has made her feel safe in the most gorgeous ways.
“Are you going to touch me?” I ask. God, I hope he’s going to touch me. “Unless you tell me you don’t want me to, yes.” He says it so directly. So succinctly. “You tell me to stop and I will. That’s all you have to do. Tell me to stop. I’ll listen. I promise.”

They were perfect for one another. Both having serious issues to work through, but the way they were open and communicated with each other was absolutely wonderful. I even enjoyed the fast pace they took once they were on track. It’s never too early when true love is involved!

And oh boy, the entire Reed clan is back! And even Daniel from Finally Finding Fatih, plays an important role in this book as Josh’s physical therapist.
“I got a mobility catalog the other day with some special sex chairs and cushions and stuff. You want me to bring it tomorrow?”
“Sex chairs?”

I loved the support the Reed brothers and Zero girls give to each other. It’s beautiful in its unconditional nature and it’s reinforced in every book making the entire series richer. It makes you want to have that in your own family. And did I mention the incredibly funny moments they share? There's something special in every page.
“Stop talking about my vagina in front of people.”
He grins. “But it’s, like, magical.”
She growls at him. “If you ever want to touch my magical vagina again, you’ll stop talking about it.” ~ Pete & Reagan

"My phone goes off in my pocket.
Star: Were you talking about my vagina?
I grin and swipe a hand across my mouth.
Me: Not yet, but I’m willing. You should totally show it to me so I have some frame of reference." ~ Josh & Star sexting

Even though we still have several of the Zero girl’s books to looks forward to, I can already imagine a second generation of Reed brothers, sisters and cousins to look forward to. We’ve already been teased with the cover and tittle for the next book, but not who it’s about. I can’t wait!

duuuuuuuuuude, it's so not fair that this woman makes me cry with every book in this series. i read it in one sitting, and i was surprised how short it was! a straight-up no-bullshit lovestory, without any drama. you need to read this type of book once in a while and kinda just restart your system. loved it, loved it, loved it. love this author!

i had been looking forward to this book since it was teased. i thought Josh as a character had so much potential for his own book and the emotional element that the author had layed out was all there ready to be expanded upon. considering all he has been through and the guilt he carries, he was a character i knew i wanted to read more about and see find his happy ever after.

i did enjoy this book, it was good but not great. it's only 150 pages long, some serials are longer than that and because of this, it feels quite rushed at times. certain moments could have been built upon in order to be more believable, things were happening quick, secrets were shared easily then brushed aside and because of this a lot of the moments that were ment to come across emotional fell flat for me as a reader and almost seemed a little superficial. no, not all the time but enough that it did kind of bug me.

like other books in the series, the relationship moves fast and you know exactly how the book will end and i really don't have a problem with that because this author is good with drawing her readers in and i guess at the end of the day these really are feel good books. they're sweet and syrupy and i do eat them up! but this time i expected more. i just wanted more from this one. as the series has gone along it's lost a little of the heart it started out with, well that's how i feel..

i'll read the next book because hopefully that has a little bit more emotional depth and it may not come across as such race to the HEA finish line (i think i said this exact thing in the previous books review. hmm.) but if it is like this one and book #6, i think i may be done. i don't care enough for the Fallen From Zero girls even for fluff reading and we already know all the Reeds are happy.

this book was still an enjoyable addition to the series and but it's not the best.

I can't help but feel you really must read the whole series to get all the connections and backstory in each book. It lost me a little because i hadn't.

I loved the characters, the interesting relationship they formed, the barriers they broke through together. It moved me when the hero's past caught up with him. I can't help but feel the whole thing needed to be longer, more depth, more inner monologue; more look into the characters thought process to back up their actions and conversations.

So this was the first novel that didn't star a Reed brother. When I finished ZZZ, I was a little hesitant to even read this one because it wasn't about a Reed. In the end, I did like it. I thought that it went too fast, not just their relationship but the actually story/book.
Even though the future books won't star the Reed's, I'll continue reading the series. I do wish that there were little update novellas on Logan and (especially) Matt. Maybe those will come, fingers crossed!

I also wouldn't mind if Emilio was mentioned more in these upcoming Zeroes books. He just a sweet, protective papa bear. :)

Oh the feels with this one!
"Good girl Gone" is the story of Josh and Star.
A hero in a wheelchair who is an ex felon, a heroine who's a rockstar with a tragic childhood, both with heartbreaking pasts but when they come together, it's magic.
There was instant chemistry between the main couple- and even when you want to feel sad and cry for what happened with both of them- you are happy for where they are now.
Heavy on angst, heavy on love- I really really adored this book.
What a lovely addition to the Reed and Zero family.
Ps. Amazing feel good ending

I loved it just as much as I loved all of the other Reed brother books. It was great how they all took Josh under their wing and gave him a chance.

I liked hearing about Josh's back story and it was great to meet people from his past. I think Josh and Star were quite perfect for each other. Star's dad Emelio is also a hoot.

Looking forward to the next one and wish that this series would never end!

Good Girl Gone is yet another amazing installment of my beloved Reed brothers and gladly it was nearly as awesome as the others.

I picked up the first book by chance and never looked back. From the start I was in insta lust but it grew to a solid love of all things Reed related.

This series started with Paul and Kit and it was obvious the brothers were unique and amazing and as we got to know each of them in their individual books as well as their surrounding friends and neighbours my love for them has grown. They don’t see anything but the endless potential of every person they meet and each book delves into the things most people see as disabilities.
We watched them go from 6 brothers sharing a tiny 3 bedroom flat and watch them valiantly try to not only drag themselves up from nothing but also make the lives of those around them better and brighter in any way they can.

I love that not only do we get every brother and their wives and families and friends right down to the doorman’s grandson in law (Although I did miss Henry, we did get Daniel in this book) in every novel and novella but we also get a little of each secondary character as they join the family along the way.

This book was the first novel not based on one of the Reed brothers directly, however like I mentioned the brothers have never met a stranger so along the way we have met and came to love the girls from Fallen From Zero as well as Josh.

I wasn’t sure how it would go with the brothers not being front and centre but I have to admit I barely noticed it. Tammy writes amazing books that make me smile even as the tears run down my face at the everyday life and drama’s that happen to all these characters as they fall in love and navigate their way to Happily Ever After.

This is a must read NA series that has plenty of heat along with people you can’t help but love and feel to the depths of your souls. So seriously if you haven’t yet read Tall, Tatted and Tempting one click it right now and fall in love with this perfectly imperfect family.

Josh and Star. Sigh. I LOVE their story.

Josh is in a wheelchair after an accident left him without the use of his legs. Tammy Falkner brings to light so many things that people with disabilities deal with every day. People see the disability. In this book, you learn to see the person, not the disability.

The Reeds take Josh in and make him one of their own. The Reeds are now connected to the members of Fallen from Zero via Sam and Peck's marriage, so even though the main characters of this book are not "Reeds", they really are.

Star is polished and perfect on the outside, but she has had a tragic past that makes it difficult to trust others, especially men.

Love the writing.

Love the chemistry.

It's heart felt and had me in tears.

I love that we get updates on everyone else that I've fallen in love with along the way.

Highly recommend this series. Start at the beginning!!!!!

This is one of my favourite series EVER!

I love how the characters are so... extraordinarily normal. Sure you have some imperfections but they're not portrayed that way in the books. I love how everyone's so accepting and how their family just grows and grows. It's honestly unbelievably beautiful.

Josh is kind of hard to get to know because of his tough shell that everyone sees.
Star has got a shell as well but it's not so obvious, it's more like a veiled brick wall.

Since both know what it's like living but keeping almost everyone at an arms length, I thing they know better how to get though each-other's defences.
Their romance is beautiful.

Josh & Star

Star has a dark past that no one talks about and no one acknowledges not even her. Her blood sister Wren and Star are very different but they got lucky and were adopted by Marta & Emilo Vasquez. And along with Star and Wren the couple also adopted Peck, Lark, and Finch. Together the 5 girls make up the band Fallen for Zero.

Josh is a paraplegic and an ex-convict. Josh works with the Reed brothers at their tattoo shop. Josh was taken in by the Reeds. Some with no hesitation others with a little hesitation but he proved himself to the Reeds and now he is one of the family.

One night Star is really drunk and she is a bit of the hook. Josh helps Star sober up and in the process realizes some interesting things about himself. For one he likes Star and he likes that his body likes Star. Star has no idea what happened the night before but she does know that Josh took care of her and did not try anything funny with her, he was a perfect gentleman.

Star starts to have feelings for Josh but her past haunts her and is not sure that she can ever trust a man. Josh is learning more and more about Star and he is not scared away. He wants to be with Star even if he needs to wait for her to be ready for a future with him.

Josh's past gets thrown into his face and he has to go to his hometown to see his ex-girlfriend but he asks Star to go with him since he is not sure how to handle his feelings or the situation. Star agrees because she has been dodging her brother Tag who is trying to weasel his way back into her and Wren's life and is not happy about the situation.

The Reed Brothers is a great series. It shows so much love a family can have without all the preconceived notions and judgement. I'm not sure that they can exist in real life but I love that I can live in this world with them for a moment. The love, honesty, respect, and good heartedness that they show to each and everyone.

Rating: 2 1/2 STARS

Happy Reading!

I have to say, I was a little leery going into this. I mean, it's not the Reeds anymore. It's the Zeroes! Who could know how well it would turn out without those spunky Reeds making a mess along the way.

Not to worry, though. Tammy Falkner did an awesome job with this transition. In fact, there were so many Reeds around that I didn't even think twice about it not being a Reed novel. But the characters were distinctly different and true to themselves, even in the Reed's shadows.

I don't know how many times I laughed out loud throughout this novel. I just couldn't help it! And then there were the times I got tears in my eyes. I didn't actually cry this time, unlike some other novels by Falkner.

I loved how Star didn't even associate Josh having a wheelchair. Instead of pitying him or always trying to mother him, she treated him like he wanted to be - normal in his own standards.

And that is what I love the most about Falkner's novels: no matter what physical or mental issue a character has, everyone around them loves them for who they are, not what makes them who they are. That is the most powerful message I get throughout her novels and I love it each and every time. My life long goal is to someday be as kind and amazing as the characters in The Reed Brothers series because all of them are someone to aspire to one day.

Out of the thousands of books I've read, these novels have impacted me the most and have shown me that good, small deeds mean so much to so many people. I cannot wait for more by this author in this series to be impacted again and again by Falkner's brilliant writing.

I wasn't sure about Josh and Star... I wasn't sure about continuing this series... but my sister kept telling me to keep reading... and I'm glad I did...

Series that are this long can turn boring.. repetitive and corny... I tend to lose focus and just end mid-serise... I have an awful attention span.... but this is good...

I love the Reed brothers... their hearts are so big... and they accept people into their family flaws and all.. there is something about big tall tattooed men with soft hearts...

Josh was no exception... Josh is a ex-con that the Reed's took in... in the beginning of the book he is at a restaurant watching Star make a drunk fool of her self trying to figure out how to save her..

Star eventually climbs into Josh's lap and he takes her back to his place to sober her up..

Josh hasn't had female contact since the accident caused him to be in a wheelchair... so having Star in his lap brings up feelings he hadn't experienced in a long time.. and he is not ready to let go...

Josh and Star's relationship touched my heart... Josh was so honest with her and Star was so open to figuring out how to make life together work... I found myself smiling while reading this book...

Ok so this is book 7 so by now I hope if you’re reading this you already know about my beloved Reed Brother. They have such big..... HEARTS. So it's no surprise they fold Josh right in to their family.
When we first met Josh I already liked him, and same with Star you just knew they both had some tragic stuff in their past.
So when I found out about this book I was over the moon.

I love LOVE that she doesn't see the wheelchair like everyone else. She asks questions and yes sometimes she does over steps but how is she to know until it happens.
Glad he wasn't too much of a meanie when those times happened.
I really felt for Josh's self-esteem in this book. I get why he was responsible for some of the tragedy that surrounds him.
Poor Star she over comes such a terrible past. She didn't know she needed Josh till she quite literately fell in to his lap :)
I am so very glad Josh faced his pasted and not only that but trusted Star enough and brought her with him. I think that really helped him and her too.
Worth the money credit what have you :)

The narration is ok, she sounds young but for some reason that is ok for me with Star, I do wish we had a male narrator for Josh's POV's.
