It's a very brief read with some nuggets of wisdom peppered throughout the book. The tone is very relatable, and it gives you some ideas that, if you really want to develop, you will need to work on, which is why I picked it up. Good read overall.

This is perfection.

Thank you so much. I loved it so much its really really helped. I've been practicing it for a few years but this, just gave me what I needed. Simplicity. Friendly advice from someone who wants better for you. Validated my feelings and strengthened my belief. Xx

This is a wonderful read that is easy to implement into your life. I like the human approach that Karl adds the content - it makes it much easier to relate to.

Definitely worth picking up and reading.

Decent reminders of how to be happy

Not the best book on this but a nice reminder of basic principles.
Happiness is a choice.
Be present.

Can’t go wrong with that.

"People are sometimes weird, fruity screw-ups and you’re not going to change it. Get used to it. And get over it.
You will never find another person on this planet that thinks just like you, so don’t bother trying."

Its one read that got mind blowing revelations that I wish I got hold of earlier!

Based on the reviews from well-known teachers on the first few pages of the book I was greatly disappointed in the contents. Those reviews stated or implied that Moore cuts through all the self-development BS and gives advice you've probably never heard before. I guess that should make me feel proud that I'd already deduced most of his "rules" for myself and cutting through the self-development BS for years. This book gets 3 stars instead of 2 because I did agree with most of his "rules." But there is nothing here that you couldn't figure out yourself with a little critical thinking.

I do have one major problem with this book and others that advocate the "releasing" method. They make it sound so simple, but I completely disagree with that. I've never understood how to do releasing the way that all these people talk about. In my opinion and experience, in order to release an emotion you need to understand that emotion (either by feeling it or identifying it). But all these experts say you just need to think about the situation/problem...then release the feeling. How do I release anything if I don't take some time to analyze what it is that I'm feeling? I'm not saying that releasing isn't a good tool. What I'm saying is that this is one of those BS categories that the "experts" always use and yet Moore uses the same BS about how easy it is. Most of this book could be summed up by applying the releasing method to everything. (How did it come to be 150 pages?)

Straight and practical concepts for an enjoyable and happier life!!!!

The author Karl Moore skip all the fluff and dove directly into the meat of the book. The 16 rules seem rather trivial or quite simple at first glance, but in the end life is not that complicated and to live a happy life consists of the application of simple principles and Karl hit those with great mastery.

An Excellent Review

Must of us jump from one self help fad to another. This book helps cut through all the self help bs and points out 16 "rules" that all the fads contain. As I was reading, I thought to myself, "I remember this principle from another book." It's a quick read and a great review of principles.

This is a good quick read to make you feel good when you need it. It's a good book to read over a few times, which is what I shall do as I enjoyed this. Some good techniques but some things I didn't agree on.

Enjoyable

Really fell into this, and I definitely feel lighter for reading it. I can see how to put a lot of the ideas into practice. Well written and light hearted.

Its a okay book.
This is my last self help book. I don't think I am going to read anymore self-help anymore.
Need to explore more genres.
