The writers first novel which whilst fiction, is inspired by actual and current events. It concerns the theft of valuables and paintings by the Nazis during WWII and subsequent efforts by criminals and security officials to either recover them or purchase for their own benefit. The two main protagonists are Jack Berman a former CIA operative and Lily a backcountry guide, and a Mossad agent!

Briefly, Jack Berman is on a skiing holiday with friends in Kitzbühel, Austria. When a murder occurs in front of him he knows he is going to b the chief suspect so he makes a rapid escape. However, he soon finds himself in a world where organised crime gangs are selling looted paintings to subsidise drugs, gun running snd white supremacists.

In an adrenaline fuelled chase across Europe and to the US can Jack succeed where others have failed? The authors notes detail some of the places in this book telling you which are real and which purely fictional, it had me wanting to book a holiday! Great storyline with an ending left open for a sequel? A good fast paced international political thriller.

The Titus Conspiracy is a gripping thriller that combines real-world political tension with the drama of a high-stakes conspiracy. Ex intelligence operative, Jack and Mossad-trained guide Lily are intriguing main characters, which I enjoyed. The covert operation at the centre of the plot is packed full of conspiracy, secrets and schemes, which is everything you want in a book of this genre.
The writing style is not the most descriptive but it is direct and full of action, building momentum and tension with chapters that end on compelling cliffhangers which kept me wanting to read more.
If you enjoy political intrigue, intelligence drama, and stories that blur the line between fiction, history and current affairs, this one is for you.
This is a novel that is both entertaining and challenging, which left me with lingering questions long after I’d finished it.

The Titus Conspiracy was a well written thriller that mixed history and modern happenings. The storyline was unique, and it was entertaining. The characters were so realistic, and they did not feel flat. I liked Jack and Lily. I wanted to cheer them on their quest even though I was not looking forward to its end, because that would mean the end of the story.
I received a complimentary copy of this book, and I freely left this review.

It was as if the author wanted to display his knowledge on differing topics throughout the book. Whether it be finances, technology, the Holocaust, art, geography, current politics, the list goes on. The story jumped from one scene to the next. There didn’t seem to be much editorial input.
