When a city boy moves to a small town looking for a slower life, and bumps into a small-town bookworm, you get Love on October Lane. Will their love of coffee, the macabre, and all things cozy lead to love? Or will a major life altering phone call cut their love story short?
Thank you so much A.R. Dow for sending me this Arc! I read it in one sitting!!
This was a cozy, fall romance w/ spice. It has ALL the fall vibes from the town, to the decorations, there is pumpkin carving and even Oliver’s black cat Drac!!
I loved how they were such opposites. Oliver is a dad bod, biker tattoo artist & Edith is a shy, curvy librarian who meet by chance in a coffee shop shop.
I wish this was longer! I wanted more of Edith & especially Oliver! He is the perfect book boyfriend!! Normally I don’t like insta love, however it worked here! Because how could you not fall in love with these two? The way they were just so thoughtful of each other.
And of course I loved Edith’s friends Annie & Michelle! They were so funny and truly amazing friends to Edith! These are friends everyone needs in their lives!
A really cute, cozy fall read that has a bit of spice, and a lot of heart. We have our main characters Oliver and Edith, who are two individuals who meet by chance at a local coffee shop.
I fell in love with the open communication between the two characters, and the found family in this story. I think the characters were the books strongest aspect.
Oliver is kind, respectful, and totally swoon worthy. I also loved that Edith was a curvy girl. Their relationship and insta love connection was adorable and I enjoyed watching it all unfold.
If you’re looking for a rom-com/hallmark feel, fall inspired book, or a great palette cleanser in between heavier reads this one is for you!
Have you ever finished a story and you were left speechless. As I sit staring at my phone and at the ebook, so many words are coming to my mind, but it's leaving me speechless. This story was just so beautifully written. I have no words for it. The story is fast-paced, it's so engaging- like hell I felt a part of the group, I felt like I was in this story. Holy crap this was such a great palette cleanser if you're in a reading slump. It's bc of indie authors like A. R. Dow that I will forever support them. I feel so honored and blessed to have been chosen to read this ARC. Thank you.
My summary isn't going to do this book justice 😭 BUT PLEASE trust me & Welcome to Hollowton.
Oliver and Edith meet by chance at a coffee shop. And the magic just starts from there on out. Oliver is a tattoo shop owner who has the cutest cat Drac. Edith works at the library. YES she's a book girlie with her friends Annie and Michelle. So obviously they want matching book tattoos. Listen when I tell you the banter these two are giving the whole book has me weak. I must of highlighted every dang page. Off topic, NOW I'm not giving any spoilers, but this read has the three S's - Short. Sweet. Spicy. & I might I add just a touch of sadness. I did cry.
If I ever say anything and you don't listen that's great, but at least listen to this when I say don't just walk but run to add this book to your Death By TBR. Not only are you going to have such an awesome read, it has all the fall vibes, but you will be supporting such a magnificent indie author.
This book has all of the cute and cozy vibes to get you in the mood for fall/Halloween! I was able to read it in one sitting, which is always a plus when you want to snuggle up with a cup of coffee and get lost in a book!
We have a really charming MMC and a spunky FMC that are really made for each other. Pair that with a cozy small town, autumn setting, and a hilarious friend group?! Super fun! I enjoyed the “real life” moments of the story, that can be so relatable for readers. We get a little spice, but nothing too overly descriptive, which is honestly what I prefer.
I’m not the biggest fan of insta-love. I craved a little more build up to the main characters falling head over heels for each other. But I felt like Edith and Oliver were very endearing and supportive of each other, no matter what life was throwing at them.
You can’t go wrong with a city boy meets a bookworm in a small town. Plus they both love coffee and Halloween! I love a book that makes me smile!
The sweetest, most fun, Autumn story I’ve read in awhile! This story has so many emotions packed into the pages and I loved every minute of it, to be honest it reminded me of my own love story! Oliver and Edith are the true definition of insta-love soulmates and the way it is written is just the sweetest. There are spicy scenes but the plot is what kept me going. So many things I could say after the epilogue and I just love it. The trials in relationships can sometimes lead to utter heartbreak, but their relationship stayed strong and I think that’s an important reminder that REAL relationships take work and it’s not always sunshine and rainbows. I loved this love story and the fact it was happily ever after. The spicy scenes had me smiling and giggling and knowing hubby would appreciate it 😉 above all, I definitely recommend this sweet fall read!
🖤🧡An adorable fall/halloween vibes full length novella.🖤🧡 This book was beyond cute with the instalove and him falling head over heels with just one look. It gave me all the cozy and warm fall vibes with perfect Halloween dates weaved in. A hot and sexy motorcycle driving, tattoo artist, cat daddy meets an adorable and gorgeous goth librarian at a coffee shop. Sparks burn hot and their shared love of all things cozy, Halloween and coffee instantly draw them together but as quickly as they came together a single life altering phone call threatens to rip them apart. Is their October love enough to withstand the storm? I finished this book in a single evening. The story flowed well and I loved the characters. The author does a wonderful job painting the scenery and transports you into story with her descriptions. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 stars 🌶️🌶️- moderate spice
Love on October Lane is a warm and charming read that beautifully captures the essence of fall and the bittersweet ache of second chances. A.R. Dow delivers a story full of heart, subtle humor, and characters that feel both real and relatable. The chemistry between the main characters is palpable, built slowly and naturally, which made their emotional connection feel earned rather than rushed. The setting is another standout—October Lane practically glows off the page with crisp leaves, cozy cafés, and that nostalgic, small-town magic. If anything held it back from a full 5 stars, it would be a few pacing dips in the middle and some predictable beats. But overall, this is a comforting, feel-good romance perfect for a blanket, a warm drink, and a quiet evening.
One of the cutest small town romances I have read that had me both “awwww” and 🤣🤣🤣.
This book follows Oliver “Our Tattoo Artist Biker MMC” and Edith “Our Curvy Librarian” who have a chance meet at a coffee shop.
This book has all the fall vibes and will make you fall in love with the characters instantly including the side characters Annie, Michelle, and of course Drac Oliver’s black kitty.
With banter on point and the instant attraction, this has all the feels for the fall and the spice that will keep you turning that page like a good girl 😏
This is a must read so snatch it up and add to your fall tbr immediately. It won’t disappoint!!!!!
First I want to thank A.R. Dow’s! 📚 This book was definitely cute! I just felt like it was rushed, it had a little spice it which is always a plus! The fmc & mmc were very upfront with each other and everything happened so quickly, but it was cute like a hallmark movie but a little 🌶️! That’s the best way to categorize this book without giving details away. Definitely a fall inspired book, it hits all the fun fall things to do to make you feel cozy inside! It’s definitely worth the read. 🎃
Big thanks to A.R. Dow for gifting this to me to read.
Hallmark in a tattoo parlor. If you’re looking for something sweeter than Halloween candy for a quick afternoon read, this is a good choice.
I do wish there had been more of a build up. I will admit I am a slow burn girl, and this is an instant relationship. There is open communication between characters especially during ups and downs in life, a found family for the MMC in the FMC’s friends, and a cute community.
I received this book as an arc. This story follows Edith and Oliver. They meet in a local coffee shop while she is at her book club. He's a tattoo artist in town. There is instant attraction on his end. Her friends pushing her towards him. This touches on how they progress through their relationship. Oliver is such a great mmc. You can't help but to fall for him. Should you give this book a shot, absolutely. I enjoyed it.
I wish I could have rated this higher. The story had a lot of potential, but it just felt so rushed. The MC’s literally fall in love within the first date without really knowing each other.
Overall 4 stars. Spice, 2.5 peppers out of 5 peppers. Open door, some detail, not overly descriptive.
This was a very cute novella. It was cozy and I loved the imagery described. I wish we had more of the book, and that we got more of the back stories on both flog the MCs. I wish I could live in a town like they do. Their meet cute was adorable, and honestly a bit believable. I liked that they went to a free movie in a park for their first date, and that Oliver kept forgetting to ask for Edith’s phone number,
Spoiler: I loved how real this book was about the relationship. I’ve never seen another book talk about finishing faster than intended. Not only that, but they had an adult conversation about it. I loved the realistic relationship of this book.
Such a cute cozy read. I loved the chemistry between the characters as soon as they meet in town. I love the vibes of the FMC, like she’s black cat and he’s golden retriever!! I love that he has a cat, and I love that he has a tattoo shop/bike 😉. A super cute, cozy, Hallmark-like, halloweenie read and lots of good spice! Definitely a great palette cleanser for me🤍
✨Arc Review✨ This book was a cute, quick, fluffy romance. I enjoyed the characters but I did wish there was some more depth to the characters, while I did like the romance I did feel like it was a bit to insta-love and could have been thought out a little bit more. While the writing felt a little rushed and juvenile overall this was a fun little romance set around Halloween and I enjoyed it.
This is the perfect cozy fall read! This book will give you all the feels! I LOVED Oliver! He was the freaking sweetest thing ever! The way he showed his love for Edith was just to comforting! This is like reading a fall Hallmark movie and I loved every second of it. Edith was such a perfect FMC, their love story just felt so real and cute that is so refreshing compared to other reads! Oh I loved the spicy bits too!
A Cozy Fall Romance, this book made me smile while reading it. We need more MMCs like Oliver. I'm left wanting to read more about Edith and her friends. Recommended!
