I loved the start of this book. It was so quirky and funny. A hilarious reaction to a situation. Mason and Cordelia were perfect from the start.
I feel some side characters stories fell a bit short and wished to hear more of their stories. Maybe in future novels.
I do feel some of the drama with the mother felt forced but loved the protectiveness Mason showed for Cordelia.
The love story was sweet, fun, and funny. If you want a fun rainy day romance to read, I would totally recommend.

I wasn't expecting to laugh so much while reading this. I just love the character/name of Cordelia as well as the Duke's mother is lovable. The Duke of course is in deniable about his feelings for Cordelia when he marries her to protect her from her evil guardian. And there is a happy ending.

Believable characters. A villain that you want to see punished. A couple made to feel they weren’t enough by one their parents and fighting to overcome the damage that caused so that they could love each other.

Couldn’t put the book down!
Loved the characters and the author brought them to life with their personalities. It left me smiling and a happy ending.

Surprising
Cordelia and Mason seemed to be an extremely mismatched couple, she was a bit ditzy and he was very serious. Gradually they smoothed each other’s rough edges and married. Unfortunately Cordelia was being threatened and it was entertaining how they solved the situation.
