As White Haven enjoys the Beltane fire festival, a creature of smoke, shadow, and searing flame emerges from the celebrations with one burning to claim the dragon eggs hidden in Ravens' Wood and reshape the world.
Events further spiral out of control when Avery decides to use an ancient dragon spell from the family grimoire to bring her mother and sister back to White Haven, demanding answers after years of silence. The spell is more powerful than expected, and the family reunion is as fiery as Beltane—especially when Helena is involved.
Between hunting a fire-born monster and managing a volatile family reunion, the witches are stretched to breaking point. But El discovers an unexpected ally—a salamander born from elemental fire who awakens magic she never knew she possessed.
Shapeshifting therians, a deadly fire elemental, and a wood with a mind of its own converge in a deadly battle that will have far reaching consequences for White Haven.
Some fires can't be controlled, some wounds can't be healed with spells, and when you summon what's missing from your life, you might not like what arrives.
Cinderveiled Magic is the fourteenth book in the White Haven Witches series, a bewitching blend of Cornish folklore, Otherworld creatures, ancient magic, and unforgettable characters. Perfect for fans of atmospheric witchcraft fiction with heart, humour, and a hint of chaos.
I'm a writer, a pagan, and a witch, and consequently love all things magical. I write fictional books about witchcraft and the paranormal, and they are jam-packed with fabulous characters, colourful settings, plenty of action, and lots of humour.
I was born in England, in the Black Country, but moved to New Zealand in 2006. I lived near Wellington with my partner Jase, and my cats Sacha and Leia. However, in April 2022 we moved again! Yes, I like making my life complicated… I’m now living in the Algarve in Portugal, and loving the fabulous weather and people. When I’m not busy writing I read lots, indulge in gardening and shopping, and I love yoga.
Confession time! I’m a Star Trek geek – old and new – and love urban fantasy and detective shows. Secret passion – Columbo! Favourite Star Trek film is the Wrath of Khan, the original! Other top films – Predator, the original, and Aliens.
In a previous life I was a singer in a band, and used to do some acting with a theatre company. For more on me, check out a couple of my blog posts. I have also written a blog about how I finally became comfortable about calling myself a witch. It's called Leaning into my Witch.
Cinderveiled Magic is the kind of book that sweeps you off your feet from the very first page and refuses to let go until long after the final chapter. T.J. Green has crafted a richly atmospheric story that crackles with mystery, heart, and beautifully woven magic. The worldbuilding is exquisite—layered, immersive, and brimming with secrets. Every setting feels alive, steeped in history and danger, with an undercurrent of magic that’s as seductive as it is perilous. Green has a gift for balancing vivid description with fast-paced storytelling, so the novel never slows, only deepens. What truly makes Cinderveiled Magic shine, however, is its characters. They are complex, flawed, and fiercely compelling. Their emotional journeys feel authentic, their struggles resonate, and their relationships are charged with tension, loyalty, and just the right spark of chemistry. You don’t simply read about them—you root for them, worry about them, and ache alongside them. The magic system itself is wonderfully imaginative, blending intrigue and consequence in a way that keeps you constantly guessing. Nothing comes easily, and every choice carries weight, which makes the stakes feel real and the victories deeply satisfying. In short, Cinderveiled Magic is an absolute delight: enchanting, emotional, and impossible to put down. Fans of immersive fantasy and character-driven storytelling will find themselves utterly captivated. T.J. Green has delivered a novel that lingers like a spell—one you’ll be eager to revisit and recommend to everyone who loves magic done right. ✨

TJ Green's White Haven witches series just keeps on getting better with each book, and I am so hooked as I love White Haven and its witches coven and hope TJ keeps on writing more books in this series. In this book so much happens, and it all happens during the Beltane festivities. When the bonfire is set ablaze some magic power seems to have been released, and the witches fear on who has arrived in their town now, and what is there intent. Also Avery has unfinished business to settle with her family, so she summons them to White Haven through a summoning spell, and her mother is furious to have been summoned, and her sister returns with two kids in tow on a blistering wintry evening. Everything is going haywire at the moment, and summoning family back to the unfolding scene was not ideal to say the least. This book is filled with otherworldly creatures, a djinn and a salamander, dryads, dragons and so much power is unleashed especially in Raven's Wood. Can the coven and their supporting allies capture what has escaped through the fire before the trees take their own action after one of their own was brutally killed. This book is amazing, the magical lore just keeps getting more refined and I love the way the witches are advancing in their powers.
This book is not one to pick up when you have an odd 10 minutes to spare, because it wants ALL of your attention! I have to admire an author that can keep so many threads of storyline spinning smoothly, without dropping a single stitch.
Action packed with an adversary that puts everyone at risk, we see the witches work with Ghost ops, Newton’s team, Nephilim and some unexpected allies to try and save White Haven, Ravens Wood and beyond. While battling against this latest threat, the Therians are also still causing trouble, something is going on with Tamsyn and Avery’s family reunion is going far from smoothly! Some new magic is introduced, various relationships are under the spotlight and new strengths are discovered. No one is forgotten and nothing is overlooked, in a story that is detailed and complex, and whose characters leap off of the page with their vividly painted personalities. You won’t want the book to end, but there is clearly plenty more to look forward to in this series and I can’t wait to discover what comes next.
The White Haven Witches are going from strength to strength. This latest adventure is set at Beltane and something unexpected happens at the fire festival. The witches are plunged into a race to save White Haven from forces, both good and evil as the dryads of Ravens Wood prepare to fight an enemy who could destroy everything. As we have come to expect there are side stories a plenty. Avery has cast a spell she may well regret, El has an unexpected boost to her magic, Helena has vengeance on her mind, Tamsyn has seen the White Stag again and Newton is finally coming to realise it's time to make a move if he ever wants Briar back in his life.
I love this crazy world that Tracey has built with witches and Nephilim and the Ghost Ops crew as well as all the other friends and found family. The magic is intense, the settings evocative and the story so well crafted, you really can feel like you are there. There's humour amidst the drama and a feeling of joy that comes with such a well written story. I loved it! 5*
“Cinderveiled Magic” the Fourteenth book in the White Haven Witches series and it certainly doesn’t disappoint!
The Witches are getting ready to celebrate Beltane and everything is going smoothly until two party goers are brutally killed; however their death doesn’t look ‘normal.’ The Witches need help!
At the same time Avery has the crazy idea to create a spell to summon to White Haven, her Mother and Sister who she hasn’t seen for years; - one spell she may come to regret….
Several well known characters from T.J’s other fantastic books join Avery and her Coven to try to solve what the “something is" that is causing the chaos not only in White Haven but the sinister goings on in Ravens’ Wood. What they do know is that a creature with the Element of Fire is at play and it needs to be stopped at all costs!
Another fast moving book by T J involving lots of her other key players like the Nephilim, the Ghost Ops members and others as well as the White Stag
Yet another rollicking ride with White Haven Witches number 14. Once again the magical town is between the devil and the deep blue sea! What with Avery deciding to summon her sister and mother as she wants to see them, oh dear, no spoilers! A little side magic from Helena to reek vengeance upon someone who had been rather nasty to a friend, I would not like to get on the wrong side of Helena.. I galloped through the last few chapters in one session, missing a meal, but it was so thrilling! never mind, but I could not put the story down until I had read the last word. I shall not mention Newton as he finally comes to a decision! Wonderful tale, thank you TJ!
Everyone has come together in Whitehaven to celebrate the Beltane Fire festival, from near and far. Stan leads the evening finishing with a verse and throwing herbs onto the fire, which seems to coincide with an orb and a creature emerging out of the fire flying away into the darkness. The creature is aiming to get the dragon eggs which are well hidden whilst the orb is something special for El. Avery, at home, casts a spell to bring her Mum and sister back, as she is concerned because they have lost contact. Put all this together and you have a very full story. Then you have the Therians who are shapeshifters also here. Never a dull moment.....
One of the best and most dramatic yet! I actually found myself skipping ahead a few pages at one point to make sure everyone was ok! The story is full of dragon magic and Djinn upset, plus new skills uncovered for one of our Whitehaven witches, who have a real fight on their hands, and may even be out of their depth without some real teamwork and clever thinking. TJ takes us on a brilliant fast paced ride that brings in our Nephilim friends as well as a brief mention (plus some aid) from the Moonfell coven. There is also a reluctant reunion of family members for Avery. Absolutely a fantastic read and an awesome next chapter to the Whitehaven series.
What a fabulous book to take your mind away from the stresses of the day!
It’s Beltane and the White Haven witches are looking forwards to the celebrations and bonfires on the beach.
Avery and her ghostly ancestor are performing a dragon spell they found in an ancient grimoire to try and bring Avery’s Mother and sister back to the town after a long absence.
On the beach something emerges from the flames of the fire bringing death and danger to everyone!
Will the spell work, and will every one pull together and try to extinguish the fire creature and bring it under control?
Once again Tj has given her readers a cracking story from start to finish! Don’t miss it!
another exciting twist and turns with the witches. the most unexpected was with avery being so determined to cast a spell and not thinking of others reactions just to see her mother and sister. in the end to have them get to white haven while in the middle of dealing with a djinn. of course white haven is safe all with the usual help and unexpected help. well done. great read and love the introductions of avery's family.

Love this page turning addition to the White Haven Witches series. Beltane is upon us and it has new magic and a new bad guy to deal with but the WHW are not ones to sit back while things escalate. They are right there in the heat of things and they are all growing their own magic. Lots of excitement as we learn more of Avery’s family history and meet a couple of new characters. Jump on in and enjoy this book I know I did.
One of the best TJ has written. I always say it but I honestly couldn't put this down. The story grips you from the start and with different threads that come together, the action is neverending. This book is fun, imaginitive, dark sometimes, humorous in others but never dull. The characters in this series continue to grow and evolve and I loved that aspect too. I still read these books wishing I lived in White Haven but I have to say, I'll never look at Aladdin in quite the same way again!
TJ Green does a masterful job with her telling of the Beltane celebration! All the character continue to grow and we learn more about them. El in particular makes progress in leaps and bounds, in this story. I love that her character from her other series make appearances. Once I start a Whitehaven book, I can’t put it down and this was no different. I stayed up way too late because I couldn’t put it down. Excellent story.
Another rip-roaring, magical adventure in White Haven, this time during Beltane. The witches and their allies and enemies are faced with a new, incredibly powerful, elemental adversary. Again, TJ Green’s writing reads like an epic adventure film, with rocks rumbling, woods igniting and, alongside all this, great, well-rounded characters finding their way and developing their relationships, even where it seems much too late. I loved it!
We are back with the White Haven witches in this fourteenth book and it is every bit as enthralling and captivating as the rest of the series. An exciting and thrilling addition that pulls you in and has you hooked from start to finish as we follow these extraordinary characters on their adventures. An enjoyable read with twists and turns and a few surprises to surprise you and keep you guessing and have you looking forward to more from this fantastic world!
Delightful as always. I love that even tho it's book number 14, it feels fresh and original. Incredible talent, TJ Green is.
I adore how the main characters keep growing yet they feel so 'normal' and relatable and so so likeable. The plot is always interesting, well executed, it's not rushed.
And most importantly - BRIAR AND NEWTON! I really do hope they will be together.
I'm already excited for what we will have next!

TJ Green has done it again! Another breathless battle with new and old enemies. The appearance of a legendary creature in Whitehaven, has the gang pushed the limits of resources and abilities, but help is at hand from a very unexpected source and one of the witches gets a serious expansion of her talents! An excellent addition to the series.
Another fabulous visit to White Haven where the coven has a fight on their hands to protect their home and the people they love. We reconnect with our favourite characters and meet more in this Beltane story which keeps you reading way past bedtime. TJ has a fabulous imagination and such a wonderful way of making you feel like you’re part of the story. I want to live in Cornwall 🤗
I have read this book and giving my honest review. Oh my what a fantastic adventure. Tense exciting, magic . So much happening. All done in my favourite place ravens wood: was really exciting could not put this down. You had to know what was happening next, had to read the next chapter . I hope you enjoy the book as much as I did. Not spoiling but a lovely read for over Christmas.
This author has an incredible imagination and an amazing gift for world building. This story sent me into a myriad of emotions - horror, shock, excitement and awe. Her gift for details leaves the reader completely immersed in her world and allows our imaginations to run wild. Love the set-up into the additional characters. Job well done!
Cinderveiled Magic. Long awaited (for me) book in TJ Green’s series. As always there is magic, witches, shifters, myths, legends, dragons eggs, action, humor djin, Nephilims ans so so so much more. I love this contemporary take on magic with a great dose of crime, detective work, family drama, light romance but most of all witches. Great book by an amazing author.
All of our favorite characters, and then some. A very serious new threat, family tension and worry for both Avery and Briar, and even some new magic levels achieved...this book has everything, and it keeps you on the edge of your seat! I was so happy to be back in White Haven. You don't want to miss it!
A very personal and in-depth look at all the characters in the town of White Haven, as they battle enormous odds. There's a prize. A prize that some would kill for, and others come together with love and friendship to fight to save their town—an unstopable romp through the mists and might of magic.
What a great read. Witches, friends, family, ghost hunters, dryads, nephilim and fire elementals; what more could you need for suspense, action, family drama and chaos. Immerse yourself in the locations, imagery, and fantastic characters. You won’t be able to put this book down. ENJOY! Thank you TJ for your amazing storylines; I can’t wait for the next installment!
White Haven Witches always keep you on the edge of your seat and the newest book, Cinderveiled Magic does not disappoint. The book is rich in detail and the characters have been developed flawlessly. I love this series. Get ready for a wild and entertaining Wild ride that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
Another great story from TJ. She really is a great writer to keep this series fresh, book 14 and its as gripping as the first in the series. Of course we now all know and love the main characters, their stories continue to develop, whilst fighting a new foe. Along with an unwanted family reunion. This is an intriguing read to keep the reader turning the pages.
I'm not sure how I feel about Newton and Briar, I rather enjoy Eli. I love El's new skills and her salamander. Glad for the change in flats and for Clea and Helena. I have managed to binge all 14 of these books this December 2025 and enjoyed it all. Would love for these to be a TV series.
I have read all 14 books of the White Haven Witches series and this by far was your best book yet. The plot developed quickly and the cast of characters were knowledgeable and driven. It.has been great to see their confidence and coordination develop through the series. Time for me to branch out to your other series.
