When a tourist is killed on the famous road to Hana, initially no one suspects foul play. After all, it just looked like a run-of-the-mill accident. But, the deceased man’s mother is convinced something is wrong, and she’s hiring Charlie to get to the bottom of it when the police won’t. What Charlie soon finds is a conspiracy she could never have dreamed of. Will she get to the bottom of things and solve the case before she gets dragged under the wheels spinning away?
Jasmine Webb has written a funny, exciting, aggravating, and tragic story, and has incorporated real life issues into a compelling tale.
When a young man dies in an auto accident, and his girlfriend is left comatose, the man's mother calls Charlie, convinced that he was murdered. Charlie agrees to take the case, and discovers a web of lies, greed, and motives for murder stretching from sunny Maui to the dark halls of power in DC.
I just so enjoy this series. I look forward to the release dates. I am probably one if the first to write a review of this Cozy Mystery. I love the characters. Especially Dot and Rosie. I also like that it doesn’t have too many characters to make for a good story. I look forward to the next adventure. Robert Ericksen
I read this book because I needed something lighthearted to pair with a deeper, sadder book I was reading. And I figured, this is number 15 in the series, I kind of have to keep going, don’t I? However, I am really beginning to see how these books have been rushed out by the author, or so it would seem with the spelling and grammatical errors throughout the book. Super disappointing.
Lots of fact paced action for Charlie and the gang. While I enjoyed this quick read I was distracted by numerous errors in formatting and spelling. It also needs to be translated into American English! IMHO!
Charlie is up to it again! This was a good book, but it felt a little rushed. I still loved the banter and the development of the story line, of both the book story line and the series. I can’t wait to see how the series wraps up in the next book!
I love Charlie and her cohorts and that they are unassuming and even older. Jasmine Webb does a great job with her characters and bringing them to life.
