I was claimed by the Lycan King in front of the entire court. By morning, he rejected me and called me a "murderer."
Now I carry the secret babies he doesn’t know about.
Rhea
He marked me in a frenzy of heat and power, crowned me his Luna before the council, and swore I was his forever. Twenty-four hours later, I was dragged in chains, accused of killing his brother, and watched him rip my mark from his neck. He cast me out as a curse. But I took more than his shame with me. I took his heirs. And I will die before I let him claim them.
Damon
She begged me to listen. I didn’t. I chose rage over reason, exile over mercy. Now I cannot breathe without her scent haunting me, cannot sleep without nightmares of her touch. I thought banishing her would break the bond. Instead, it is breaking me. And when I discover she has been hiding the Lycan King’s heirs, there will be nowhere she can run.
Pregnant, Rejected and Exiled by the Lycan King is a rejected mate, fated mates, secret pregnancy shifter romance featuring a ruthless Lycan King and the omega who carries his hidden twins. Packed with scandal, betrayal, spice, and second-chance angst, this story is intended for 18+ readers.
So I discovered this little gem as a recommendation in another author’s newsletter. I love the rejected mate trope so I thought why not 🤷
Its a fast paced read and I really enjoyed it. There was something in the book that I found a little confusing, but it didn’t take anything away from the book for me.
“One day you’ll know the truth, and it will destroy you,”
Spoiler, It didn’t destroy him. Haha. Like that pictures shows us they will end up together. It was so exciting while reading but afterwards it’s just meh. It was like a fast paced action movie. It was very entertaining but didn’t have much meat to the story. It was also very predictable. But again enjoyable so it wasn’t a total loss.
This book had a great, angsty setup but fell flat. It needs an editor as there are multiple continuity errors. There wasn’t adequate resolution to the severance of the bond. It just magically reappeared even though her mark was never restored? I was confused. Also needed way more grovel. He basically bulldozed her at first.

I read a lot but don't often write reviews, even for books that I didn't particularly care for. This book, however, is just not good. The FMC is a doormat without any growth or change throughout the course of the book. The MMC, too, is flat and one-dimensional and not very likeable. The authors frequently repeat bit of information, to the point where it's irritating. They will tell you something at the beginning of a paragraph and repeat the exact same sentence at the end of the same paragraph. It happened over and ober again and was beyond frustrating to read. The background of the pack structure is poorly explained and doesn't make cohesive sense. This entire story could have been told without any of the characters actually being shifters, so little was the "wolf" aspect of this story involved. The FMC shifted into her wolf once for no particlarly good reason and her being a shifter wasn't brought up again for the rest of the story. The pacing of the story is terrible, moving slowly one page and jumping weeks ahead without warning the next page. The authors frequently forget where they have placed characters in a scene so they might "rise to stand up" at the beginning of one paragraph and the "rise to stand up" again at the end of the same paragraph without having sat down again. There were two main "plot twists" and both were unimaginative and I saw them both coming long before the authors revealed them. This book is basically a draft of a story that has some potential to be good, but it needs a very good editor and extensive rewriting to be worth anyone's time. I will not be reading anything else by these authors.
This story had good bones but it didn’t come together completely. The betrayal angst was excellent, harsh and polarizing but after time moved too quickly but also stood still. The betrayal was a tad too much considering he felt her innocence through the bond but chose to ignore it and chose not to do the actual investigation that would have taken mere hours considering we finally saw results of one way later when he finally cared about the truth. 🙄 Why did he ever go get her only to bring her back still thinking she was guilty and basically kept her under guard, locked in her room? That didn’t make sense. There were a lot of pages with repeated text, almost identical with slight word choice differences- editing would have caught. And last, there was basically zero apology, grovel, etc for her to forgive him yet she did easily. 🙄 BBS with the mate bond which is so lame I can’t even stand reading those scenes. Pretty pathetic for Rhea’s character.
The FMC was a doormat, A doormat. I’m all for mate bonds but not when it makes the FMC dumb. She had sex with the guy like 5 minutes after seeing him again. He humiliated her publicly, exile her, ripped the mark from her and did not even investigate before accusing her. The FMC just lets the MMC rock, no apology, no making him grovel even though she swore she was gonna get revenge. Ridiculous, absolutely ridiculous. I don’t usually write reviews but I’m so mad right now, that I have to. A waste of my TIME. Authors have to start making these FMC end up with guys that didn’t hurt them, where’s the self respect. At least make the guy grovel.
it stopped making sense very quickly and never found its way back
The story starts off as so many like this do but quickly turns super dark and twisted in a bad way. The king is a sad little mamas boy out of nowhere, does zero investigation into his brother’s death and condemns his fated mate because his mom is mad and blamed her with zero evidence. She goes through horrific situations finds a family and it’s looking up for her then suddenly he reappears in her life and she just is like ok, I know what happened and just kept it to myself? There are parts clearly missing, and a lack of editing and continuity reading.
This is one of the worst books I’ve read. The story had potential but there’s so many inconsistencies that it’s hard to finish. She's supposed to be this "strong" character but after all the bad stuff he did to her , she just gives into him literally any time he looks at her. Most of the book is super slow paced and then so rushed at the end . Not enjoyable at all
Not a bad story but I would have liked to see them do something for Wayne and April, the older mated pair who helped her in exile. They did a lot for her and poor, never heard from again. No named after, the fed her, bought her baby stuff and then when Damon finds her, they fade away. I didn’t think that was cool and I took stars away for that.
Very repetitive, more than half the book they're separated, the plot is realistic in the sense Damon rushed into accusing Rhea because of grief. If you're into the pay for chapter book apps, this story is written over all more coherently than those. Story still very cinematic and heavily focused on drama.
A mystery and a romance novel. It also has paranormal. I didn't guess the outcome of this book. I never thought it was Damon. I thought he had a twin brother. An identical twin with different eyes.
I read it in a day and a half. I felt like some parts went on too long but the end too rushed. There were a few inconsistencies that had me confused, but it wasn't worth it to go all the way back and reread to see if I missed something. It was a cute, easy read.
Not my favorite shifter story, but it was readable, I feel bad giving it anything less than 3 stars but it was just okay, there were good parts but then it just kind dragged out a little, but also went fast, I don’t know, maybe it’s just me.
5 ⭐️ I hadn’t been able to pick up a book in a few months but was in a mood to originally read a vampire romance but found this werewolf one instead. Finished it in one night. Worth staying up all night 🌚
