Deuteronomy, a second retelling of the laws of God. As Moses stood with the Israelites on the bank of the Jordan River, he reminded the people of the many laws. These laws were not arbitrary or the work of a cruel God trying to enslave His people. Rather, they were protection and guidance. They were a display of love from God to His peculiar people. Today, we join the Israelites as the children of God. A walk through Deuteronomy provides reminders for us on how to live a life holy, obedient, and pleasing to God. We all need reminders to encourage and restore our faith. A walk through the fifth and final book of the Torah provides this and much more. Journey through the book of Deuteronomy and allow the fresh insights of these devotions to be a reminder of how great our God is.
