A beautiful story full of emotion and heart, it kept me on the verge of crying at all times. I was in a constant state of anxiety, but the kind of anxiety that comes with caring too much about the characters. Books that make me feel so deeply will always have my heart!!
Sawyer and Honey became friends their senior year of high school. Connected by their scars, their fears, their bond was deep and impactful, but Honey left.. Nine years later, she's back with her son and a chance encounter has them reconnecting again. A burst pipe and a flooded apartment takes Honey and her son Noah to Sawyer's ranch as he recovers from an injury. Stuck living together, Sawyer bonding with Noah and their past love catching up with them.. Can they have a second chance or was their love never meant to be?
Sawyer, I loved that man to pieces, it broke my heart the way he viewed himself, all the scars, the demons, the insecurity, the fear.. He deserves all the good things, the moments when he felt like he was a part of the family made me incredibly emotional and every time he doubted himself, I might have teared up a little. He was an amazing man and his bond with Noah was delightful, the way he saw that boy and helped him!! Honey was such a great mom, she did everything for Noah. She had scars too and I adored the way Sawyer made sure she was taken care of, that she was safe. I did kind of hated the fact she broke his heart, more than once, but I get it, it's not easy to stay when you never really knew love. She helped heal his broken pieces, just as he did hers.
Their story wasn't easy, but it was always real. The flashbacks we got were perfectly incorporated, all the important moments and the friendship, it deepened their connection. The concealer, the tutor sessions, Hart and Stetson, the bleachers, the shower, the understanding and the support, the prom and the stars, the firsts and the pain.. All their moments later, the forced proximity, the blue, Trixie and Kentucky, the drawings, the warm milk, the bar, the steam, the pajamas, all the golden moments and the flowers in the darkness. Their fresh start didn't came effortlessly, it was full of uncertainty on both sides. They were fearful at certain points, afraid to have a real discussion and it made my heart hurt. They both deserve the world, they made each other feel free, lighter and gave one another strength, it's what made their story so special!! The third conflict, while unwelcomed, was expected. I knew something like that would happen and it did, ultimately, made sense. It was needed.
I really grew to absolutely love this series, I adore this small town and the friend group. I, also, absolutely loved Noah and it made me so happy watching him grow more confident.
I have to say that Emma's writing really improved since book one. Book two and this one, especially, were so good. I honestly can't wait to read more!!!
*Thank you to Netgalley and to HarperCollins UK for providing me with an ARC.*
Thanks @harpercollinsuk @netgalley and @emmalucyauthor for this ARC.
I’ve been waiting for this book since the first one in the series and it didn’t disappoint. I finished it in a day because Emma’s writing is fluid and immersive. Every word resonated strongly in my veins and my stomach clenched at the flashbacks. I’m not usually a fan of second chances but this one was filled with tenderness, unspoken words and anger too.
I knew I would like Sawyer’s story but I didn’t think it would be so intense. Sawyer is the kind of funny, playboy character in the previous books. He’s always been my favorite, whether he was a teenager or an adult. But he has many scars: he thinks he doesn’t deserve to be loved and ends up hurting everyone. Yet he survived and no matter how hard he has been knocked down, he still has one of the purest souls. Honey, I just wanted to hug her and tell her she’s a wonderful mother to her son and that everything will be alright. Despite her past and her doubts, she remained sweet and tender. I could see parts of myself in her when she talked about how difficult it is to make friends and it touched me to see her blossom at Willow Ridge. She found the love she never got before.
Their relationship made me cry because they’ve both been through such difficult things (tw) that only they can understand. Even after nine years, they’re inevitably drawn to each other because you never forget the first person who really saw you, listened to you and cared deeply for you.
How can I not mention Noah that adorable little guy? He was so shy at first but he found a friend and confidant in Sawyer. Seeing him have fun, talk and open up more and more throughout my reading was so precious.
This book is for all those who think that love is nothing but pain and broken promises before finding a place to belong.
I want to begin by thanking NetGalley and Harper Collins for the ARC of One Last Rodeo in exchange for an honest review.
I opened this book without knowing it would become a new part of my heart. It healed me just as much as it broke my heart. It has many emotionally difficult subjects, and Emma did it so well.
This story is for the hopeless believers who think that even in the darkest moments, flowers can still bloom. For all the twisted thoughts telling you that you will never be loved, people teach you love is only painful, there will still be someone for you in this universe at the right time, in the place you belong.
I never thought Sawyer and Honey would touch my soul so deeply and immediately. From the first page, I suffered, cried, laughed, and hoped for them— for the life they both deserve. I couldn’t be prouder or happier with their evolution. It wasn’t too slow or too fast, just the perfect timing and the right person. Their chemistry exceeded my expectations. I felt their connection and their souls craving each other.
Their story couldn’t be more real, honest, and beautiful. All the tears, pain, laughter, and tender moments were worth it. I enjoyed every second with them, and they will always have a place in my heart. I will never forget this place, this small town, this ranch, and this perfect family— their own beautiful healing place.
Noah, this sweet boy, was the cherry on top. I can’t be more obsessed with the three of them. And until the last sentence, all my hopes and love were poured into their story. Noah, Honey, and Sawyer have their own story and scars, but they couldn’t be more perfect and safe together.
Thank you Emma from the bottom of my heart for this story, because it’s exactly for what I love so much reading.
I think this was my favourite of the series and the best written. In the previous 2 books I had issues with plot holes but this one felt much improved and like the writing had a bit more depth which I enjoyed.
Single mom Honey and her son Noah are back in willow ridge and bump into bull rider Sawyer who Noah idolises. Sawyer is back home on his deceased father’s ranch recovering from an injury. What nobody else knows is that 9 years ago Honey and Sawyer bonded over their horrific home lives and grew close, which broke him when she then left.
I really liked how the flashbacks were done- the balance between them and the present day was great and worked really well, enough to give you the full story of their past without constantly feeling like you were back in that story and not the present. The author writes very sensitively about their childhoods and everything they’re both subject to, and shows beautifully how this deepens their bond and helps them both feel like maybe they’re not completely alone in the world.
Noah is a great side character and it was lovely to see him and Sawyer build such a close relationship too.
Thank you to the author, publisher and NetGalley for this ARC.
This may be my favorite book in the Willow Ridge series so far!!! Sawyer Nash was born to fight, first against the demons of his past and then against the bulls that made him a champion. But when an injury takes away the only life he has ever known, he finds himself lost and without a purpose. Then Honey Goldman returns to Willow Ridge, the woman who broke his heart ten years ago. Now she is back in town with her son, Noah, and when Sawyer finds himself helping them, all the feelings he thought he had buried begin to resurface.
I loved Sawyer and Honey’s story and everything they have been through in their lives, how it brought them together, tore them apart, and ultimately led them back to each other years later.
This was one of the most emotional books in the series for me. I loved watching them get to know each other again, and I absolutely adored the way Sawyer was with Noah!!! One of my favorite parts of the book was seeing him become a father figure to Noah. And finally learning the reason why Honey named her son Noah 🥹
I’m so glad I had the chance to read this book in advance, and it is a great honor to be part of Emma Lucy’s street team.
If you’re looking for a second-chance cowboy romance filled with emotional moments, healing, and main characters with the biggest heart, Riding the Line is the perfect book for you!
Now I need Miles and Wolfman’s POV! ❤️🔥
Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC.
🇮🇹:
I really enjoyed Live, Ranch, Love and Riding The Line last year - the first two books in Willow Ridge, a small town cowboy romance series, so I was keen to pick up the third and final book, One Last Rodeo.
Sawyer was born to fight - against the demons of his past and the bulls that made him champion. When an injury steals the only life he’s ever known, he feels lost. Then Honey comes back to town. A decade ago, she broke his heart, now she’s back with her son… As Sawyer steps in to help the boy, old wounds reopen, and long-buried feelings rise to the surface. As Sawyer and Honey grapple with the past, could love be the thing that saves him after all.
If you love a small town, second chance cowboy romance, with a single mum x reformed playboy, forced proximity and high school flashbacks, then I think you’ll enjoy this one!
I’m so sad our time is up in Willow Ridge, as I’ve really enjoyed the series! What a wonderful way to end with Sawyer and Honey. I flew through this book in one sitting, I couldn’t put it down! This is the most emotional story of the series, it definitely tackles some heavier themes - but it was beautiful to see them bond and have such a deep level of understanding for each other due to their childhood traumas.
The flashback to high-school scenes worked really well for developing the story and bringing it all together. You could feel the chemistry between them and the undeniable connection right from the beginning, so it was inevitable that they would have their second chance (particularly when they’re very quickly forced into one household 🤭)!
I also loved Noah’s involvement in the story and how Honey truly was the best mum. She took her poor childhood experiences and made sure he was the most loved child he could possibly be. Watching Noah’s relationship develop with Sawyer was also so lovely to see! He stepped up for them both which was wonderful.
Overall it was such a lovely end to the series, and I’m really excited to see what Emma does next!
Thank you NetGalley, Emma Lucy and Harper Collins for providing an eARC - One Last Rodeo publishes July 2nd.
I had very high hopes for this book as I have really loved the other two book in this series and this book did not disappoint me at all. I think this is Emma's best book!!! I was just so obsessed with the chanters and the story that I could not put this book down and I read it in one day!!! I thought this book was the perfect length and paced so well.
I felt all the emotions while reading this book and all the things Sawyer would say and think about Honey had me giggling and kicking my feet. It also had me crying at quite a few points in this book from sadness because of everything Sawyer and Honey went through in the flashbacks, and it also had me crying happy tears as their was just so many beautiful moments. One moment from the flashbacks I can't stop thinking about as it had me crying because of how tender and beautiful it was and how Sawyer started to tell Honey about what was happening to him at home.
I felt the chemistry between Sawyer and Honey from the very start of the book as I felt you could see how much they cared about each other. The build up and tension to them finally giving into their feelings to each other after 9 years of being apart was perfect as I felt like it was not rushed.
I really LOVED Sawyer as he was such a complexed character and he had so much depth. He is so much more than a reformed playboy, I think he was just the kindest soul considering he has so much trauma and scars from his childhood. You go on such a journey with him in this book and he develops so much as a person and that is evident in the end as he goes and gets help for his trauma and wants to be a better man because of how much he loves Honey and her son Noah.
I adored Honey she has so much going on and I think she is so strong but also knows when she needs a shoulder to lean on. I thought she was such a caring person and an amazing mum. Also the story behind Noah's name is just so beautiful.
Noah just made me laugh so many times and brought so much to this book, I loved getting to see him slowly build his confidence and getting close with Sawyer. I thought the relationship Swayer and Noah had was just so adorable.
the sweetest, most heartbreakingly beautiful end to the Willow Ridge series!! 🥹🤍
in my opinion, this is Emma's best book yet! Honey and Swayer (plus Noah!) truly captured my heart, and i loved every second of it. i laughed, i cried — it gave me everything i could want from a romance book, honestly.
the dual timeline worked so perfectly (given that it's a second chance romance!), and i loved diving into the past every so often to get a bit more of the start of Honey and Sawyer's relationship from a decade ago.
both of their backstories were truly heartbreaking, and Emma did such a great job of writing this, despite the heavy themes. i just wanted to wrap them both up in the tightest hug possible.
Noah was the sweetest addition to the story (especially once you learn the story behind his name), and i simply adored his relationship with THE Sawyer Nash (hehe). the cutest little boy ever! loved watching him grow more confident and assured 🥹
i loved seeing the Willow Ridge gang once again (duh!), but having the guys talk mental health, therapy, and opening up truly was so so wonderful to see. a beautiful display of healthy relationships that brought tears to my eyes if i'm honest.
plus, of course an honourable mention has to go to Trixie the dog and Kentucky the fetch-playing cow!!
overall, an incredible read that i absolutely could not put down! it's SO hard for me to pick a favourite in the Willow Ridge series because they all mean something so different to me, but this one truly might have topped the trio! 🤭🫶🏼
thank you to Emma, Harper Collins and NetGalley for the eArc, i'll be thinking about this one for years to come 💓
• ARC REVIEW • • ONE LAST RODEO: EMMA LUCY • • SAWYER & HONEY• •⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️•
First and foremost I would love to thank Emma, her team and Harper Collins for the ARC! I love this series so much! It was such a quick and easy read that I literally finished this in a day, I couldn't put it down! Its defiantly my favourite of the series!!
- Second Chance - Single Mum - Forced Proximity - Flashbacks - Small Town
I felt all of he emotions in this book! I loved their relationship and the fact that it was a second chance was even more special. The way they had similar childhood experiences and trauma helped build their bond that became extra special. It helped them find that special someone that they can trust.
The Flashbacks were perfection and it really helped bring the story together. Seeing their past, and what had happened really help bought all the puzzle pieces together.
Sawyer was exactly what I expected and that is such a good thing! This rough and tough cowboy had his soft side and that so happened to be Honey and her son! It was so special seeing him grown out of his scars and gain the best things life could give him.
Honey is perfect, and such a fantastic mum to Noah. I loved how her scars didn't define her and she made something of herself! Her determination to do everything right for not only herself but her son was so special to read.
I do wish we saw more of both Sawyer and Honeys carer side of things and more of Noah! He was such a great aspect of the story, I just wanted more from him! I wanted more Honey as well, I wish we saw more of her vulnerability and explored her character more!
I have loved seeing Emmas improvement from book to book! following her along her journey has been so special!
I’ve loved the Willow Ridge series and was so excited when I managed to get an ARC of this book on NetGalley.
I understand why Emma Lucy at a recent event was torn when asked to choose her favourite book in the series and (reluctantly) picked this one. This book was definitely different from the others, tackling the sensitive issue of physical abuse and two main characters who in sharing the same darkness, found light.
The author tackles this theme with sensitivity and introspection and I thought Sawyer’s character especially was beautifully written. He tries so hard to overcome the emotional scars left by his upbringing and being let down by anyone he’s ever loved. We learn his charm & cockiness are nothing but a façade and that underneath all there is someone who is deeply insecure and who just wants to be loved. Though Honey carries the same scars, I felt like her character wasn’t explored anywhere near as thoroughly which I think made her harder to like/empathise with. Noah was lovely and his relationship with Sawyer really brings out the best in both characters.
I loved seeing some familiar faces from the previous books, like Rory and Wyatt, and thought the flashbacks were perfectly integrated in the storyline. Frustratingly I found the book a little slow and repetitive in parts which is why it took me a little longer to read it than usual. Though it may not take away the title of favourite away from the previous book, I did thoroughly enjoy reading Sawyer’s and Honey’s story.
I am giving One Last Rodeo by Emma Lucy a 5-star review. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I’m a sucker for second-chance and forced proximity stories, and this one got me hooked right from the beginning. It was such a beautiful, emotional journey that I absolutely loved.
A huge thank you to NetGalley, the author Emma Lucy, and the publisher for providing this ARC. All opinions are my own.
The Review
The story follows Honey (also known as Blue), a strong FMC with a past that once forced her to run away from our adorable MMC, Sawyer. Sawyer has a troubled past of his own, making their reunion in the small town of Willow Ridge all the more impactful. I loved the dual timeline structure, where we get to see them as teenage sweethearts and then in the present day as they manage to work through their insecurities and find their way back to each other, just as they were always meant to be.
The Good
Sawyer is an incredible MMC, but what completely undid me was seeing him step up as a father figure for Noah. The way he helps Noah with his confidence was so moving and made me love his character even more. Honey’s strength as she faces her history and rebuilds her life is equally inspiring, making them a couple you can’t help but root for.
The Not So Good
Honestly, there wasn't a single thing I didn't like about this book. The emotional depth and the chemistry between the characters were perfect for a second-chance romance

I have been so excited for this book since finishing Riding the Line! So when it dropped in my email inbox I stopped reading what I was reading at the time and started immediately.
Book 3 in the Willow Ridge series follows Sawyer Nash, playboy bull rider who is forced to return to his hometown following a horrible injury. This happens around the same time his first and only love Honey Goldman return to their hometown, along with her son Noah in tow, who is a 6 year old who is obsessed with all things cowboy. With Sawyer stuck in Willow Ridge and Honey recently returned they get to know each other again after 10 years apart.
First of all Sawyer was so much more than I thought he was from the previous book, I saw surface level, playboy bull rider but reading this story I saw the hidden more loveable and more vulnerable Sawyer Nash.
Honey Goldman, another gorgeous FMC by Emma Lucy. She done the quiet, introverted personality so well and I related to this part of Honeys personality, however Honey had heartbreaking reasons behind her personality.
The bond between these two was equally heartbreaking as it was beautiful!
The story behind Noah’s name was so beautiful.
Again another amazing instalment of the Willow Ridge series! Loved being back in this world and loved these 2 characters story 🩵
Thank you to NetGalley, HarperFiction and Emma Lucy for the eARC of this book.
One last rodeo is the 3rd installement in Willow Ridge series and these books just keep getting BETTER!
Sawyer(MMC) and Honey(FMC) find themselves back in their hometown 9 years after they last saw one another.. YOU COULD FEEL THE TENSION!
During high-school, these two bonded over their shared traumatic childhoods with abusive fathers and found solace in having someone fully see and understand them. Due to their very different personalities and family dynamics, they kept their relationship a secret which made it a little easier for Honey to call things off leaving Sawyer with a broken heart.
9 years later, Sawyer has an injury that bring him back to Willow ridge for a good few months and Honey has moved back to try give her little boy a better life and immerse him in all things cowboy (his obsession) and there is no better way to do that than to move in with your HOT COWBOY EX when you suddenly need a place to stay.
The forced proximity increased the tension between these two and seeing the healing from their trauma was beautiful to watch unfold. I loved the throwback chapters that showed their teenage bond and I really felt emotionally connected to the story. Such a tragically beautiful love story with the perfect ending, it really did exceed my expectations.
🩷 Blurb- Sawyer Nash was born to fight—first against the demons of his past, then against the bulls that made him a champion. But when an injury rips away the only life he’s ever known, he finds himself lost, drowning in a future without purpose. Then Honey Goldman comes back to town. A decade ago, she shattered his heart and left him swearing off love. Now she’s returned to Willow Ridge with her son… As Sawyer begrudgingly steps in to help the boy, old wounds reopen, and long-buried feelings rise to the surface. As Sawyer and Honey grapple with the past could love—the very thing Sawyer has spent years avoiding—be the thing that saves him after all. 🩵 Review - I have enjoyed the other books in the series and One Last Rodeo certainly didn't disappoint. I was hooked from the very first page and I kept reading until the end as I wanted to know what happened. I loved the small town place setting in the story and there was a great cast of characters. I also loved the chemistry between the main characters. Overall a brilliant novel that I highly recommend to other readers. 💝 Thank you to Harper Fiction, the author Emma Lucy and Netgalley for my arc ebook copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC 🙌 Im gutted to be giving book 3 of the Willow Ridge series 3 stars 😢 something was just off with this one unfortunately meaning i didnt enjoy it as much as the others 😔 but it had the bones of something really good! I found the plot fairly predictable and at the same time a bit unrealistic and I wasn't a fan of the writing style. It felt different to the other books and was a bit cringy at times. 🤠 Bull Rider MMC 🫶 Single mum FMC 👏 Second chance Sawyer and Honey had something special and shared a difficult home life in common back in high school. When Honey breaks Sawyers heart and leaves town he throws himself into bull riding and at other women... Many years later, Honey and her son Noah (I did love the story behind his name) are back in town. Noah is huge fan of the ranch and bull riding and sees Sawyer as his hero. Sawyer has a bad accident and ends up on crutches having spare time on his hands to do plenty of thinking. After a flooding incident mum and son find themselves looking for somewhere to stay - que Sawyer and his huge empty home... 🙄 Forced proximity wins and the pair revisit their past.
I loved the dual timeline, I'm a big fan of those. It was heartbreaking to read about the (physical) hurt they experienced in real time and the pain that still lingered years later. Both Sawyer and Honey are so strong, but understandably also quick to run when they're scared. It broke my heart every time Sawyer put himself down and felt like he wasn't good enough or a good person to be around Noah, because he is a good person. They both just needed someone to show them that they are worthy and that they are easy to love and it might have taken about 9 years too long, but eventually they got there. I loved the little family they were and Noah is the absolute sweetest kid. The bond that Sawyer and Noah had and the way Sawyer got Noah to come out of his shell so easily was just so beautiful.
Did I like Sawyer and Briar at the beginning of the book? Nope, hence the 4 stars.
Thank you Harper Fiction and Emma Lucy for the ARC!
This was already my favourite small town, cowboy romance series so I had high expectations and I was really excited to read this book. Emma Lucy has completely exceeded expectations with this one and i think it’s the best one so far!
I was an emotional, blubbering mess reading this which I didn’t expect and I think that’s why I loved it so much. It HITS you right in the FEELS my god 😭!There are some tough themes which I think were beautifully handled but I also laughed out loud as much as I cried, just the perfect mix of being ruined and put back together again.
I loved the way the flashback scenes were done, sometimes flashbacks take you away from the main plot timeline but these were woven in at just the right times.
Honey, Sawyer & Noah were actually everything, I’m so sad this series is over and I’m going to miss Willow Ridge but what an amazing to end it on.
Thank you to Emma Lucy and Harper Collins for providing this ARC via NetGalley.
Move over Wyatt and Duke, Mr Sawyer Nash has entered the building.
Sawyer and Honey met during high school, when they both realised that the other was going through similar tough times. They grew extremely close and were planning a future together, but things don’t always end up how you want them to.
Fast forward 9 years and Sawyer is a bull riding champion. A chance encounter brings Honey back into his life, as well as her son Noah. Disaster strikes and Sawyer finds himself with a lot of free time back home on his ranch.
The couple go on a rollercoaster of a journey filled with lust, love, emotional conversations, lots of laughs and they end up with a sense of belonging.
I majorly enjoyed reading this book. I was hooked from the start. I loved all the flashback scenes as they add to the backstory of the characters.
Quickly became my favourite story from Willow Ridge.
I finished this book in a day. I've been waiting for this story since I started this series a few years ago. Willow ridge is a series I love and I hope isn't ending anytime soon.
One last rodeo evolves around Sawyer & Honey. Sawyer is the kind of funny, playboy character but he has many scars from his past. Honey, despite her history remains sweet and tender and is an amazing single mother. Together, they reunite after 9 years and healed together.
Alongside the sweet tender moments, this book had you laughing out loud. A reformed playboy, helping honey with her son. Raising him to be a cowboy. A cow that can play fetch. What's not to love about all these moments?
Second chance romance isn't usually my favourite trope but this was done so well. Everything was written with such care covering emotional topics extremely gracefully.
I absolutely adored it! Thank you so much for my advanced readers copy!
I had such a good time with this one! I really enjoy Emma Lucy's writing and she did such an amazing job with this book. I am normally not the biggest fan of second chance romances but I really enjoyed this one. The reason they split up the first time actually makes sense which helps a lot with making the rest of the story believable.
I love Sawyer's determination to help Honey, even taking care of her son, Noah, even when he has always believed he wanted nothing to do with kids. His connection with Noah becomes so special. Sawyer giving Noah the confidence to be himself and speak up more while Noah shows Sawyer there is more to him than he thought. That he doesn't need to stay away from kids or his happy ending that he's always thought he didn't deserve.
Such a lovely small town romance series and I can't wait to see what Emma Lucy will do next!
Thank you to NetGalley and HarperCollins for the arc in exchange for an honest review.
This book has become my favourite one of the series quite quickly! 🫶 I loved the flashbacks to when they were younger and that you got to unravel their story piece by piece. Both Sawyer and Honey had difficult family dynamics growing up, and it was so beautiful to read about them bonding over that, but also giving each other so much strength. When they painted on the walls in the house that Sawyer got from his dad, where he threw a bottle after him, to literally paint over the bad stuff - that was so heartwarming! Also the found family trope in this was written perfectly. With Sawyer being such a role model for Noah (Honeys son), and him warming up and gaining so much strength and confidence.
Loved it! 🫶
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read an arc of this book in exchange of my honest review.

One Last Rodeo by Emma Lucy was such a fun, spicy, and addictive finale to the Willow Ridge series that had me hooked from the beginning.
Sawyer and Honey were perfect together. Watching them reconnect and slowly fall back in love felt emotional, heartwarming, and incredibly satisfying. Their second-chance romance was beautifully done, especially with all the history and lingering feelings between them.
One of my favorite parts was seeing Sawyer bond with Honey’s son, Noah. The way he stepped up for both of them added so much depth to his character and made their relationship even sweeter.
I’m definitely sad that the Willow Ridge series is over, but this was such a great way to wrap everything up. Honey and Sawyer absolutely deserved their HEA.
Thank you to Emma Lucy, Netgalley, and HarperCollins for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Second chance romance done to perfection! ♥️ We meet Honey and Sawyer who are pretty much childhood sweethearts that split after school, then years later when Honey comes back to her hometown she sees Sawyer again and we follow their second chance at love with each other! ⭐️ I loved the characeter development in this one, both our main characters have had a hard life growing up and always had each other but a sudden split and Honey moving away end it! Their development when they meet back up is amazing and seeing them fall back in love is fhe cutest thing ever! I loved seeing Sawyer step up and help Honey with her son and becoming that father figure! ♥️ If you love a cowboy romance with a second chance trope then you will love this one! 😘
I can’t believe this series is over. My heart so happy that everyone got their happy ending yet sad because it’s over.
I really loved this book. It was a story about two broken souls getting their second chance and finding their happy ever after. Even if it had a bit of a rocky path.
I liked that both main characters shared similar trauma from their childhood as it made them so much more understanding of each other. The topics were also so well written within the book.
I do just wish that the miscommunication wasn’t quite so frustrating in the book. There were 2 small incidents of it and it was a bit of a shame.
Absolutely loved this book - it was the perfect romance book I needed!
For me, it was the perfect mix of grumpy cowboy energy/second-chance romance. Sawyer and Honey are so good together and their chemistry just pulled me in straight away. I like the fact that there’s heartbreak, there is healing, and just the right amount of spice. I also loved the flashbacks and I really think they bring a lot to the story. Couldn’t put it down!
Now this, this was what I needed. This is a second chance romance to top all the second chance romances I’ve read before. It was heart wrenching and heartwarming allll at once. Sawyer and Honey have been through so much, separately and together, and the way they find themselves together again is beautifully done. I read this book so fast, and I’m so, so glad I did. Beautiful, and a must have to add to your TBR. I am so thankful that I received the opportunity to read this one early!
My first Emma Lucy book and what a good one. I had so much fun. Second chance, single mom, cowboy - add in forced proximity and you can sign me up. Honey and Sawyer got the second chance they deserved and Noah was the cutest little boy.
I got to read this one as an ARC, thank you to HarperCollins and NetGalley!
