An uplifting small-town saga about family, friendship, and finding a second chance later in life.
As springtime blooms in Rosewood Beach, the whole town is buzzing over some exciting news—a film crew is coming to shoot on location, and the star of the movie is none other than renowned actress Delilah Bates.
To everyone’s surprise, Delilah soon becomes a regular at The Lighthouse Grill, embracing small-town life and the chance to slow down from the relentless pace of Hollywood. Even more surprising is the connection that sparks between her and Tom Norris, the steady, down-to-earth cook who’s been a fixture at the pub for years.
What begins as an unlikely friendship grows into something more, filled with laughter, cooking lessons, and long walks on the beach. For two people who thought their days of romance were behind them, the possibility of a second chance feels both exhilarating and a little daunting. But can a movie star and a small-town cook truly build a future together? Or will the differences between their worlds be too much to overcome?
Meanwhile, Julia enlists Ryan’s help to plan a surprise birthday party for Faith, and Dean and Noelle consider whether to postpone their wedding so he can undergo surgery to ease his arthritis symptoms.
Take a trip to Rosewood Beach, where the water is warm, the sand is soft, and the Owens family is waiting to welcome you into their lives! This sweet and uplifting women’s fiction series is the perfect bookish escape.
Under The Lighthouse Glow Rosewood Beach #10 By Fiona Baker Narrated by Amy McFadden
Fiona Baker continues the Rosewood Beach saga and I am right there for it. Getting updates on Julia and Cooper as well as other characters is a treat but what made this one special was Delilah and Tom. Delilah is an actress who has come to shoot on location in this small town. Enjoying the ambiance of the Lighthouse Cafe, she begins a friendship with Tom the chef. Slowly, their friendship turns into more, but is it that can continue once her time in Rosewood Beach comes to an end? This sweet romance had me from the start. Maybe because I can relate to the age, or maybe because it formed as friends first, or maybe because it involved food, I could not get enough of this couple. They are a great addition to the ones I have gotten to know and welcome them into the Rosewood Beach family!
I cannot say enough good things about Amy McFadden and her amazing narration of this series. Each one masterfully performed with voices she carries from book to book. This one is especially good as so many of the characters come into play. She is fabulous and has made this listen wonderful.
Under the Lighthouse Glow is Book 10 of the Rosewood Beach series. Like the rest of the books in the series, we get updates from the couples and see what everybody has been up to.
The new couple we meet is Delilah and Tom Delilah is a famous actress who frequents the Lighthouse Grill where Tom works as a chef for the family’s restaurant.
The friendship turned romance between these two was so sweet! Idk if it’s largely due to their age but the love in this story felt intentional and.. safe. Not much else happened but reading their story felt like visiting your favorite hole in the wall and ordering your favorite dish knowing you’re going to be happy and full every time.
Thank you to BNA for the gifted ALC. The audiobook is narrated by Amy McFadden, who has been doing nothing short of amazing at bringing the Rosewood Beach stories to life.
Fiona Baker skillfully updates us on several of the Rosewood Beach characters. The main plot involves Hollywood actress Delilah Bates, who comes to town for a film. She meets several members of the Owens family when she starts frequenting the Lighthouse Cafe. A sweet romance ensues when she encounters chef Tom Norris. Since I'm older myself, I really cherished this story line. Rosewood Beach is a peaceful, ideal small town and its residents are usually happy and caring. This is one of my favorite books in the series.
This is one of the first series that is this long that I have continued to follow along for the storyline! Fiona Baker is amazing at keeping the story alive through character building and development.
I really loved the idea of a small-town guy and big-time movie star starting a new relationship. Every time a new character has found their way to Rosewood Beach, they fall in love with the vibes of the town and the people.
Amy McFadden is still stunningly perfect in this series. She has never once let me down!
Another good book in this series. I always feel content after reading these books. I am glad we get to keep up with the family and regulars while introducing new people who will become regulars too. Now we have added a movie star and the chef at the family restaurant. So sweet.
