Eli is my opposite in every way. Broody, controlled, always serious. I’m the tattooed chaos he loves… as a brother. We share everything, an apartment, a family, and a vlog that pays the bills. What we don’t share is the truth of our feelings.
Whenever someone calls us brothers, we rush to add “step.” I’ve loved him in secret for years, but lines like that aren’t supposed to be crossed. Not when he had a girlfriend. Not when I had a boyfriend.
But one stolen touch turns into something we can’t take back, and suddenly every line we swore not to cross is behind us.
Keeping us a secret was already hard, but when a kiss caught on camera goes viral, the life we built together is suddenly on the line. Friends, family, our future—everything.
I was scared before, but now…running feels safer. Loving him feels impossible. But losing him? That’s the one thing I can’t risk.
Stepbrothers with Benefits is a forbidden M/M romance packed with secret desire, bisexual awakening, and a slow-burn HEA that proves family is more than blood. Expect stolen kisses, hidden cravings, and a love too strong to hide.

👀 Rozumiem przyrodnich braci - to jasna sprawa.
Stepbrothers Forbidden relationship Bi-awakening Slow burn Secret Desires Possessive MC Public s€×
This is just Romeo doing his thing, and doing it better than ever! I say it every time, I know, but this is seriously his best work yet. I’ll even go as far as to say that this series rivals Fairlake, and Fairlake was perfection. If I could give it more than five stars, I absolutely would.
The “stepbrother” trope tends to be considered tab00 by a lot of people. I don’t necessarily agree, but I understand why some do. Milo and Eli are, of course, stepbrothers in a large blended family, but they’re also best friends, roommates, and have a large internet following.
Everyone has teased them about being “more” practically their entire lives. The problem is… Elijah is straight. Or at least, he was, until a drunken Milo accidentally confesses his feelings one night and, in the process, maybe gropes Eli just a little. Now Eli’s not quite sure what to do with these new feelings that moment uncovered. If he acts on them, will everyone understand, their family, their fans? And can they handle this new dynamic in their relationship, or will it ruin them?
I laughed through this entire book. Milo and Eli are absolutely hilarious. Their banter, their stunts, everything. Oh, and the s€× scenes? Holy hot, they are FIRE.
Milo being the wild, adventurous one and Eli being more grounded made them a perfect match. I couldn’t get enough of them! They are my new favorite Romeo Alexander couple!
Romeo has truly outdone himself this time. This book is everything I love about his writing witty, emotional, and full of heart. LOVED IT!
Tropes: MM, taboo, step-brothers obv 😅, bi-awakening, friends to lovers, slow burn
First read from this author. I’m very torn about going back and reading the first book in the series.
Quote/Highlight: 💚 “My first steps was for you and me to be okay.” “We’re not ‘okay’, that will take time. But we’re here, together. And I don’t want not to have that.” “I think that’s about as okay as I can expect right now.” “Then we’re okay.” 😮💨 This broke me, the very realistic characters having their moment after the incident. not the typical unrealistic less than groveling and immediate taking back without the mention of hurt and suffering that will have consequences of the persons actions.
Things I loved: - The ending. Honestly the best part was the last chapter. I was literally crying laughing at the dinner scene. Poor Mason. - The actual likeness to real life. I don’t think I’ve read a book thus far that truly read in a depth that felt like it was 100% happening in a family right now. - The banter between all of the siblings. Including Kayden. - The spice spiced 🥵 - That epilogue #swoon I expected nothing less for those two.
Things I didn’t like: - The length of this book. I tend to avoid anything over 400 pages but when I downloaded the book I saw it was a manageable number of chapters and since it’s an arc I didn’t really look at the page count. It wasn’t until I was about 30% in when I realized how long it was dragging. 45 min chapters are not for me. Problem is I don’t know what parts of the story could be cut 😔 maybe some of the internal dialogue could’ve been since there was a bit of duplication of getting the point across of how Eli was working through something or Milo’s brain and his actions/reasoning. - It really took all I had to get through this one. And that’s saying something bc I still read it in three days and without reading anything else. I’ve been known to put ones like this on hold to read a novella or palate cleanser to get back into it. But I think knowing I had the arc deadline was the push to avoid other stories in the meantime.
I glad the boys got their HEA. They truly deserved it. And three cheers for Eva and Raf. Acceptance is a valuable gift.
My Personal Ratings
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 Stars – Absolutely Loved It! Couldn’t put it down! Finished in one-two days. I’ll be checking out more from this author.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 Stars – Really Good The story or a particular character pulled me in, and I’ll definitely continue the series. Also interested in checking out more from this author.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 Stars – Enjoyable, But… There was something I liked—maybe the plot, maybe a character—but also something that didn’t quite work for me. Sometimes it’s a great story that just needs a little polish from an editor. I might continue the series, or I might move on.
⭐️⭐️ 2 Stars – Not For Me I managed to finish it, but it was a struggle. Maybe the story dragged or the characters didn’t connect with me. Won’t be continuing the series. Others might still enjoy it.
⭐️ 1 Star – Couldn’t Do It I was frustrated the whole way through. The story, characters, or writing just didn’t work for me at all. Definitely won’t continue the series or pick up more from this author.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts & opinions are my own
Overall a cute book. I don’t think it needed to be as long as it is to tell the story but I still enjoyed the characters and storyline. Will definitely read more from this author!
Romeo Alexander hits the right spot every time and Finding the Right Brother hit that spot not just for me, the reader, but for his characters too! We are back with the second book in the series, which does stand alone but also allows more elements to click into place if you've read the first book.
It is a taboo romance, if you are of the opinion that romance between stepbrothers is, in fact, taboo, so be warned just in case that is going to be a trigger for you. For me it made it all the more enticing and fascinating to read. There is the love of stepbrothers here but also the love of two people who are best friends and who, over time, have fallen in love but not been sure if they should. Partly because of the whole 'stepbrother' part of their relationship. I love the way all this unfolds and it is a good time before we actually move to their romantic relationship and all it entails.
First off we meet Milo and Eli, properly and not just as the pair the rest of the family are always shaking their heads at for their antics! We do however meet them mid antic. Milo is the one who always has crazy ideas which Eli is there for, partly to film for their social media and very much to ensure that Milo tries to come out partly unscathed. Partly is the optimum word here as Milo invariably injures some part of himself, but being the man he is, he tends to just accept it as part and parcel of life. He is very definitely on the ADHD spectrum and Alexander Romeo does include mention of this, treating it with due respect so readers can understand how it is different for everyone and for adults a personal option as to whether to pursue treatment.
After the incident the pair continue their studies, their lives with their on/off boyfriend/girlfriend. Milo is gay. Eli is straight, though questioning, at least when it comes to Milo. They are sharing an apartment to give themselves some independence from their family who are nevertheless always around and are certainly not your average family which becomes clearer when Milo's biological father appears on the scene too. From there things become messier and clearer all at the same time. Family connections and likenesses begin to make more sense, we discover more about Milo and Eli's brotherly connection from childhood to the now and more about their attraction to one another.
In true Romeo Alexander style the story has layers, is complex and deals with both taboo and complex relationship issues but it is also hilarious in parts, balancing the serious, it is a deep and meaningful read. It is also a beautiful, fun-loving read and a celebration of love. Moreover it celebrates the very real fact that love is indeed love and who we love is not so much a matter of choice as simply an irrefutable fact. I am very much in love with this series, its characters, its taboos and Romeo Alexander's outstanding writing.

Uhh this was a really really good book! It was longer and with longer chapters than what I usually read but it was like looking a whole season of a series and I really liked that!
Milo and Eli are stepbrothers and roommates, inseparable best friends since they met and the others closest person and other half. They are the most comfortable with each other.
The story is packed with secret desires, Milo had a crush on Eli for years, but never told him. But one drunken night leads to honest confessions and Milo confessed his feelings for Eli and tried acting on them. They start exploring each other and how it would be to be more than best friends but are afraid it would destroy their friendship. They are both suffering from the same conflicted feelings. Both are jealous when they see the other with their boyfriend/girlfriend and feeling insecure. They know what they have going on is amazing but what they had before is more important and they dont want to lose each other.
"You could get the thing you had spent years dreaming of, and then when you finally have it, find yourself wondering if the cost of getting it was going to be too much."
I really liked them both. In the beginning I wasnt really sure if I would like Milo, but Im so glad I didn't stop reading. The love they have for each other is really deep and they way they are what the other needs is really precious! They can always rely on each other to understand and accept the other as they were. Things between them happend quickly and easily because it was happening with the one person who knew them best, accepted them the fullest and the person with whom they were completely and utterly comfortable. They are not perfect but they always had a way of balancing each other.
Please be aware, that both of them have other partners
"While I know im not the only thing in your life, I've always known im a core part of it."
3.5 stars Milo and Eli really worked as a couple, they have opposite characteristics that compliment one another, and after being best friends for so long, they have learned how to work together in just about every way. Despite growing up together from the age of about five, they always referred to each other as stepbrothers as they always felt more like best friends than brothers. After a startling drunken confession, Eli begins to see Milo differently and starts to question himself. Knowing there could be massive fallout, they decide to start with physical release to see how that goes. Once that aspect proves more than good for both, they decide to see if they can add romance to their dynamic before they have to face their family and friends with their new situation, as well as their social media followers. Unfortunately, a nasty person spreads the word and causes a lot of grief and chaos for Milo and Eli. Fortunately, they work things out with some unexpected help from exes who remain friends, and the unconditional love and support of their family, and manage to feel peace in their love for one another. What I didn't like was that the first two thirds of this book dragged on so much that it was difficult to get through. The main reason for this was that the internal dialogue was endless and oftentimes repetitive. The last third of the book really saved it, along with how likeable Milo and Eli are, and the crazy family dinner scene.

I've loved everything I've read from this author, so it is incredibly painful for me to say that this one slightly missed the mark for me. The premise promised us the emotional, forbidden, slow-burn tension that Romeo Alexander excels at, and we got that, for sure. Milo and Eli are genuinely great characters - complex, sweet and believable in their dynamic (I say this knowing real life stepbrothers who ended up together as well). I loved their chemistry together, and watching their relationship evolve once lines started to blur.
That said, the story felt like it dragged in places, which is probably inevitable with a 500-page book. I don't know where the author could have cut anything, though there were some repetitive bits. Because of the pacing, I did find it hard to get through the book. I found myself having to re-read scenes because the dialogue between them made me feel like I was supposed to be able to read their minds.
But the writing was beautiful as always, and the angst hit exactly how it should. Overall, this is a solid read, full of heart, vulnerability and the kind of connection we always get from Romeo, and that I wish I had in my life. I'll give it another read at some point, and I'll update this review if anything changes. But I'm really curious and excited to see who the next book will be about!
[I received an advanced copy of this book. All reviews and ratings are my own.]
I love Romeo's writing. He is in love with words and he uses them to produce great stories and memorable characters (yes, I'm looking at you, Kameron), and his intelligence shines through his prose. If you're a fan of his, you'll know he often writes doorstops and this definitely falls in that category and I'm so glad. This is another example where less wouldn't have been more because, although it's a loooong boook, I don't know if I would want a single word cut. Milo and Eli appeared in their brother Mason's book (Enemies With Benefits) and I couldn't wait for their story. There was so obviously a lot to tell, even from the small glimpses we got of them then, and they didn't disappoint. Milo isn't often lost for words and, good lord, that boy can talk. His streams of consciousness made me breathless just reading them! He's a wonderful character, a golden retriever, and Eli was both his opposite and perfect match. Eli is much quieter than Milo, needing time to work everything out in his head before speaking, and he's the calm to Milo's storm. I adored both of them. Their family didn't appear on page as much as I expected but, when they did, it was always good value for money. I wasn't sure about Raf to start with but he turned out to be surprisingly good, and that little teaser at the end, which I wasn't surprised at, definitely could be made into a short story (or knowing Romeo, a long story!).
This two are just souls mates I’ve got to say, I fell for this family reading the first book in series but if honest, Eli and Milo, had me thinking what what’s going on here then. And reading this book I’ve got to tell you I just went on a journey. I absolutely enjoyed the banter between them, the mayhem, just their conversations and the craziness of it all. And being part of their big family is just delicious, really. Milo has had a crush on Eli for a long time two problems Eli is straight and Eli is Milo‘s stepbrother. Now hand on heart I have no issue with stepbrothers being in a relationship because they are not blood related in any way shape or form so I had no issue with this book. But it was just brilliant The the craziness of this book but of course something will always get in the way and there’s came in a big loud bang of reality, but would they be there for each other to ride the storm or would it just be too much?? These two have a chemistry a connection passion that is electric. I really enjoyed this Read and it was great hearing about how Mason, Jared were doing. I thoroughly enjoyed this book..

One of my favourite tropes and I was really looking forward to Eli and Milo’s story and Romeo Alexander did not disappoint!
They were two real sweet idiots who were made for each other and knew each other inside and out with a special connection that nobody could understand- not their exes and not their family…
They have been inside each others pockets since their respective parents married when they were boys and throughout the years their connection just got stronger and the teasing of the family got heavier…
Now they are 24 and 25 and something has changed… Milo has a boyfriend in a semi open relationship and Eli has his ex girlfriend situation-ship but one drunken night changes everything…
I loved their banter and dynamic and the support from their close knit dysfunctional family was amazing but Milo makes the biggest mistake of his life regarding Eli and this is their sweet, poignant emotional love story followed by an epilogue three years later!

'If there was ever a guy I’d be comfortable enough with to test the limits of my sexuality, it was Milo, stepbrother or not. And really, his status as my stepbrother was... inconsequential, at least as far as I was concerned. Others might disagree, but for the sake of just... us? We’d always been particular about not calling each other brothers, even when we didn’t do it with our siblings. That by itself was interesting since there had seemingly been no reason for it, and now? Well, now there definitely was a reason, and I wondered if perhaps deep down, we’d known why we didn’t want to be seen as brothers.'
I loved this book. Great world building and wonderful characters. I absolutely loved both Eli and Milo. They had such a strong bond and connection. I loved the banter and teasing between them, and their chemistry was sizzling. I liked their dynamic and the way their relationship deepened to cross that line into something more. I also liked their individual introspection. Great supporting characters as well. A beautiful, sweet romance. 5 stars
Romeo Alexander delivers a heartfelt forbidden romance with Eli and his tattooed, chaotic stepbrother, where years of secret longing finally ignite into passion. The vlog and “caught on camera” twist added a fresh layer of tension to their slow-burn, making the stakes feel real when their private love threatened to go public. The bisexual awakening storyline was handled with sensitivity and warmth, giving depth to Eli’s struggles and choices.
That said, some of the pacing dragged a bit in the middle, with repetitive internal angst before the payoff, but the emotional payoff and tender moments made up for it. If you love forbidden MM romance with a strong HEA and plenty of emotional push-pull, this one hits the mark.
Eli and Milo are as opposite as two people can be. But there is one secret they both kept tightly to themselves. They were attracted to each other, even before they became step-brothers. But getting caught in a kiss on camera, and having the kiss go viral, puts them in a position that they can't back away from. This is where you find out who your true friends are and who is willing to be there for you always. And that can be a good thing! Choices need to be made, but they are not simple ones. These choices affect their day-to-day lives and whether they are comfortable finally knowing how each other really feels, and whether they can walk away from that or not. The author won't make it easy on readers to dismiss what the characters are going through. They are real to the reader, and they matter, and you won't walk away unaffected by this story line.
so it's such a taboo subject but stepbrothers/friends to lovers makes it that much spicier. I absolutely loved this book! With all the angst, shenanigans, spice, love, and all around compatibility that Milo (Gay) and Eli had with his acceptance of his bi-awakening was off the charts! I highly suggest you start with "Enemies With Benefits" since that leads right into Stepbrothers With Benefits but it can still be read as a standalone except you'll miss a lot of the backstories on all the characters.
If you haven't read any of Romeo's books yet, he dives into all the angst and everyday issues couples have and how they come together with support from friends and family to overcome their problems that come up. Even without the spice I'd still hold a special place in my kindle for his books because they are that good!
So with that said, go grab a copy on KU and get to reading!
Stepbrothers with Benefits is a raw, aching, and beautifully messy dive into forbidden love, identity, and the lines we draw to protect ourselves—and the ones we dare to cross when love becomes too strong to ignore. Eli and Milo are opposites in every way: one is broody and controlled, the other chaotic and inked. The chemistry is electric, the tension palpable, and when one stolen touch shatters their carefully constructed facade, the fallout is both devastating and liberating. This story doesn’t shy away from the complexities of bisexual awakening, the fear of being seen, and the heartbreak of loving someone you’re not supposed to. Friends, family, fans—everyone has an opinion, but only Eli and Milo know what’s real.
This is the second book in the finding the right brother series. I really enjoyed the first book, so I jumped at the chance to read this one. We briefly met Eli and Milo in the first book.
Milo has had a crush on Eli for a while, but Eli is Straight… oh and his Stepbrother. They have always been close, but one moment is all it takes to ignite them.
These two are so cute together. I loved the banter between them and how they already care for one another and how it turns into more.
This is messy and emotional. It’s taboo and showcases their insecurities and fears.
Tropes: Stepbrothers, Forbidden, Bi Awakening, Opposites Attract, Pining, Secret desires.

This book grabbed me from the very first page, with characters that connected and felt fully three dimensional from the outset.
Distinctive character voices, with a true sense of the bond between them, and actual reflection on the shift in their relationship. This wasn’t all 'ooh, taboo, spicy', there was a real feeling of possible consequences and fear of the what ifs. I loved the emotional panic and the fact that temporarily poor reactions were challenged and addressed.
This story, while absolutely full of fun, fire and frolics, had depth and thoughtfulness too. The perfect journey to a HEA.

This is a well-written story with complicated characters and is a great continuation of the overall story from the previous book, “Enemies with Benefits.” You don’t have to read that book first, but there are a LOT of characters in this family and starting there makes this story richer. I was looking forward to Elijah and Milo’s story; it did not disappoint though it did drag just a bit sometimes. They were interesting and I liked the supporting characters. I do have a few frustrations with some characters actions, but don’t want to give any spoilers. Overall, I enjoyed it and would recommend it. Which brother gets the next book? I have some theories!
Amazing! Eli and Milo are stepbrothers. They love each other and are as close as most brothers are. Milo is gay and has been in eros love moving on from storge love for many years. The step brothers, have a moment where they cross the line they can never un cross. Their lives are changed, then escalate in one discovered moment. The pressure is on to make the right choices and decisions that affect who they are as men, who they are to each other and who they are to the world. You can't turn away from this story. There is so much, you don't want to miss a thing. The author does a great job working through this complexity of love from a 360 degree perspective of right, wrong and what hearts went. Well done! I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Milo’s mother married Elijah’s father when they were young but after Elijah calmed down they were together all the time. Milo has had a thing for Elijah for awhile but never acted on it, were roommates in college Elijah knew how to read Milo’s moods. Milo’s father shows up and they got drunk, Milo laying on Elijah’s bed did some very drunk talking about his feelings he woke he didn’t remember what was said. Later they talked about it but it freaked Milo out because of what he had said. He finds out why his mother never told him about his father. Elijah has to figure out how he feels about Milo and if he wants to take that leap.

Milo and Eli are so adorable together. I like how that love they already had for each other developed into a lot more. Although I didn’t love how ot was implied that Milo was still intimate with Raf while with Eli, not morally, I get that it was still within the boundaries of RAF and Milo’s relationship, but it seemed off to have Milo to be so head o er heels for Eli and has been for years but still be with Raf? Him being chicken to actually break up? Sure. But him still doing stuff with Raf seems out of place. I like that they are all friends at the end though.
Stepbrothers with Benefits is about Eli and Milo who is stepbrothers but they were always more than brothers, they are best friends. But Milo has always been love in Eli, and Eli is straight or that Eli believes.
I liked the story and Romeo's writing. This is second book of the series Finding the Right Brother, I haven't read the first one so this can be read as a standalone. However I was lost when they first mentioned a hotel, I didn't have any clue what that was first, so even this is series I needed some context before reading.
----------------------------------------------- I received a copy of this book, and this is my honest review
Stepbrothers with Benefits by Romeo Alexander is a tender, slow-burn forbidden romance that hits you right in the heart. Eli and his tattooed, chaotic counterpart have chemistry that practically hums off the page—equal parts tension, affection, and longing. Their story blends humor, heartbreak, and heat as they navigate family ties, public scrutiny, and the fear of losing everything for love. It’s emotional, sexy, and full of that delicious “we shouldn’t, but we can’t stop” energy. A beautiful reminder that sometimes the love you’re not supposed to have is exactly the one that saves you.

Eli and Milo have been stepbrothers and best friends since they were about five years old. But for Milo, his feelings have always gone beyond brotherly love, though he’s never dared to say a word. That is, until one night when he comes home really drunk and things take a very… experimental turn. Romeo truly writes the best stories! Just when I think the last book can’t possibly be topped, I’m proven wrong again. The banter in this one was fantastic, and OMG the family dinner scene had me spit my drink laughing. This is book two in the Finding the Right Brother series and I think it’s better to read it in order, this is another great addition, Eli and Milo are stepbrothers and best friends but Milo has been secretly in love with Eli for years and Eli is straight but after a moment changes everything, we get a well written emotional story with plenty of angst but it is a great read and covers some complex topics. There are a lot of great characters in this story and I’m looking forward to the next book in the series.
I am completely blown away by this story and deeply impressed with depth and richness this author put into this book. I'm totally in love with the 2 main characters and the believable family dynamics throughout. The wording and discriptivness of the emotions and thoughts of the characters brings them to life and bonds them to your soul. This book takes a sensitive and taboo subject and brings understanding and love to it. My first time reading this author and I can be certain it won't be my last.

Eli and Milo have been best friends since their parents married when they were both in their teens. Milo is gay and has always had a crush on straight guy Eli. Things come to a head when Milo gets drunk and let's Eli know how he feels. They hide their feelings until someone takes a picture and posts it all over social media. This is the 2nd book in a series with their slightly dysfunctional family. Can be read as a standalone but better if read after book 1. Very well written story.

Milo and Eli are the closest out of all of their siblings, either blood, adopted or half. Reading about this unique family's dynamics again was so special. Milo has a boyfriend that I disliked as soon ax he was mentioned! He never deemed Milo special enough to be the only guy he sleeps with. Eli knows this and slowly he opens up to the possibilities of more with Milo.
Excellently written! Great family dynamics! I'm invested in seeing what may happen to some of their other single siblings!.

I wanted to enjoy this one... But I didn't like Eve and Marty in this book.
Milo and Eli didn't own an explanation to anyone, even their mother, it was too intrusive for my taste.
Eve had a friend's with benefits, but that's all, if he doesn't want to have sex with her anymore, she has no right to know the why, or to question it.
The way Marty decided to never answer Milo's questions about his bio dad was wrong, he had every right to know. And then she expects them to explain, when she ask about details?
