Whitney knows all about hard choices and bad decisions—her latest being a one-night stand with the broody cowboy she should’ve stayed far away from.
When the next morning brings two pink lines that change everything, she does what she thinks is best—cuts him off and pretends he doesn't exist. It was easier that way. Easier than remembering his gentle touch, his rough laugh, or the way he bit back at her sass with a smirk that made her knees weak.
Now, as a single mom, her only priority is giving her daughter the kind of quiet, stable life she never had. Even if it means sacrificing her own happiness. When tragedy strikes and leaves her with nowhere to turn, she’s forced to move in with the last man she ever wanted to see again.
It’s temporary. A safety net.
At least, that’s what she keeps telling herself.
***
Wyatt tries to hate her. But hating her doesn't come as easy as wanting her does.
No matter how hard he tries, she’s always there—under his skin, in his head. Her sharp tongue. Her hazel-green eyes. Her closed-off heart that he hasn’t stopped wanting since the night she left him.
Now she’s living under his roof—and she’s not alone. The little girl with her mother’s bright smile and dark curls is everything Wyatt doesn’t know he’s missing.
What’s supposed to be temporary starts to feel like home. With every late-night whisper and every stolen glance, the lines between pretend and reality begin to blur. And when danger threatens the quiet life they’ve built, he’ll stop at nothing to protect them.
Playing house with the woman he can’t stop himself from loving? It might just be what breaks them both.

I want to thank Kelsee for the opportunity to beta read this book💜 Guys when I tell you I am obsessed with EVERYTHING about this book I mean it. It had me hooked. I physically couldn’t put this down.
The storyline flowed really well and THE PLOT TWISTS?!?! My jaw was on the floor. Couldn’t see them coming from a mile away. This is an interconnected standalone and although it took me a hot minute to wrap around who each character was (this was just from my low cafintaed brain) it still flowed so smoothly!
Winnie and Wyatt my oh my do these guys have my whole heart! Winnie is single mum who has had a lot happen in her life and seeing her confidence build up throughout this book honestly made me heart all warm and fuzzy She is such a strong character and seeing her over come the obstacles that are thrown at her in a bad b*tch way I was so proud.
WYATT is one amazing book boyfriend. My oh my. I was swooning left right and centre. The way he protects those he cares for is evident from the first moment. His charm, snarky comments, the way he helps Winnie without her even having to ask 😍😍😍 He truly is amazing.
Overall I throughly enjoyed this book and in my opinion is so worthy of these 5 stars. Kelsee you should be so proud of this book! I cannot wait to see where the rest of the series is going to go! Thank you once again 💜
It was an absolute pleasure to beta read Redemption by Kelsee Warrick.
The small-town romance lovers are going to EAT this one right up! The romance was paced perfectly and so heart-warming, the characters were witty and relatable, and the plot was gut-wrenching and full of twists that will have you glued to your book/kindle to find out what happens next.
A cute love story with a trickle of suspense set in a small-town? Say no more!
First of all, a huge thank you to the author for trusting me with her work and sending me this ARC.
Apart from the fact that this book has some of my favourite tropes - single mom, found family, forced proximity, and marriage of convenience - it's also a cowboy romance with no third-act-break-up. Naturally, I ate it up. I was immediately caught up in the story, and the characters quickly grew on me. The dynamics between Whitney, Wyatt and Brinley, were heartwarming and comforting. Whitney was especially relatable, and it was beautiful to watch her heal and finally stand up for herself. In Wyatt, she not only found a home for herself and her daughter, but also a man unafraid to show his love. I'm definitely invested in the small-town drama and cannot wait to see more of future couples - Haden and Vivienne, I'm looking at you 👀
Man, oh man. Where do I start? This was just the best way to continue this series. Both Whitney and Wyatt have this sassy and stubborn exterior but mixed together they push one another towards greatness. Wyatt first comes across as this gentle giant but he has the perfect balance of firm and sexually aggressive that makes you just want to swoon over him. His possessiveness over Whitney and Brinley is just what they need after being abandoned by Whitney’s ex and abused by Whitney’s mother.
Whitney’s story struck at the heart of my own motherhood. Desperately wanting to be a good mother to my children and wanting to be better than those who came before me. But what truly moved me was when Ana talked to Whitney about how a perfect mother isn’t one who doesn’t make mistakes, the difference in a good mother is one who picks herself back up, apologizes for messing up, and keeps trying her best.
I am on the edge of my chair for Haden and Vivienne’s story up next!
I loved it. From the very first chapter it was so catchy and got me hooked.
Whitney is so resilient, she goes through so much and how could she not be skittish to people wanting to stick around, Wyatt brings the best out of her and I love how much he cares and adores her and Brinley. He goes above and beyond when it comes to making her feel at ease and comfortable, I loved everything about him.
I loved the story, the way everything plays out, there is a lot that happens good and bad, it was the perfect mix of romance and suspense, it was so subtle and unexpected but it was perfect.
The friendships were great & The found family aspect was beautiful.
This book had me hooked from the very beginning. Whitney and Wyatt’s story began as a one night stand that neither one of them ever forgot. Whitney found out she was pregnant with another man’s child shortly after her and Wyatt’s night together. Fast forwards to several months later when tragedy strikes and brings her back into Wyatt’s life. What started off as a fake marriage quickly turned into a love story that had me not wanting to stop reading. The banter between the two of them was hilarious. Wyatt and Whitney were made for each other! Both of them are stubborn. We also can’t forget to mention how Wyatt treats Brinley as if she was his own daughter. I absolutely adored reading about their interactions.
If you love small town romances with a hot cowboy who loves fiercely and is protective of those he loves, then this book needs to be added to your TBR.
Favorite quote: I love him as much as I’m capable of loving someone, and yet, it doesn’t feel like enough.
Thank you Kelsee Warrick and Ever After PR for the ARC. All thoughts are my own.
First, I want to thank Kelsee for giving me the opportunity to beta read Redemption! She nailed it! (Just as I predicted)
This story had me hooked from start to finish! The spice, the banter, and the characters were all spot on! And the TWIST?! I was not expecting it! Honestly, I don’t even think there were twists in romance novels, but it was so good!
There are only a few books I wish I could reread for the first time, and Redemption is one of them!
Ok it’s a cowboy romance and the MMC’s name starts with a W, you know I’m here for this story!!! What is so rewarding with reading Redemption is the cast of characters that accompanying the MMC and FMC (Wyatt and Whitney) throughout the story. We get an adorable child, a murder plot, a badass horse, a terrible parent (or two) and a delightful slow burn romance for two people who deserve the world but just don’t believe it themselves. Wyatt is so gosh darn gorgeous that he continues my long standing argument that every cowboy with a W name with be sex on a stick with a heart of gold!
Now I’ve got to go back and read the first in this series!
Wow. Okay, where to even begin? This was my first book by Kelsee and I don’t think it’ll be my last! I was absolutely blessed to receive this ARC and I’m so glad I did!
The raw, vulnerable, so so so real way that Kelsey describes motherhood and PPD? That alone should be the reason you read it. It wasn’t sugar coated, it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows, it was gritty and hard but so so rewarding, exactly the way that motherhood is!
I loved Wyatt and Whitney, I loved the way he loved her and Brinley. I love when big moody men become love-struck puddles.
I loved how we talked about so many real life topics during this. With the postpartum, but also the rough relationship because Whitney and her mother. The grief that Wyatt carries. This book actually really got me crying over baked spaghetti. My grandma died in April and her baked spaghetti was one of my favorite dishes of her. So Wyatt and I sharing that grief, even unintentionally, meant so much to me
➣Tropes: ↣Single Mom ↣Cow Boy MMC ↣Marriage of Convenience ↣Small Town Romance ↣Forced Proximity ↣Slowburn ↣One Night Stand ↣Banter ↣Postpartum/Mental Health Rep

Fav Quotes:
★"Do I love Whitney? Is obsession equal to what love feels like? I don’t know what it means to be in love. All I know is that she’s wormed her way into a once empty spot in my chest. That I’d walk over hot coals for her. Rip my heart out and give it to her if hers stopped beating. I know I’ll fight for Brinley like my own. I know I… I love both her flaws and the way she never tries to hide them." ★"Love doesn’t describe what I feel for Wyatt, I realize. It really, really doesn’t. Because Wyatt doesn’t just give me pretty promises and bullshit lines. He shows it. Every day, with every action—both the big and the small, he shows it. Like how he remembers the exact amount of creamer I like in my coffee. Or how he can clock when Brinley is overstimulating me and sweeps her away without a word. How he understands I need Maggie, for whatever reason unbeknownst to me, I need her. And losing her may very well have gutted me. He shows up, and never bats an eye. Never makes it feel like a burden, or a chore. That’s what makes me love him." ★“Careful, Whitney. You keep lookin’ at me like that and you won’t be able to leave that bed for a week.” ★“You’re beautiful.” “Not anymore.” “Is that what you think?” “Every inch of you is beautiful, Whitney. And I don’t mean just your hips, your curves, or how perfectly you fit in my hands.” "Its Your eyes" "Its Your Lips" “I love this beauty mark. The way it stretches when you smile.” “The way your nose scrunches when you’re deep in thought.” “And these? These scars? They’re breathtaking.” “They’re you, and they’re Brinley.” “I’d say that’s pretty damn beautiful.”
I have lot more favorite But i cant put them all here 😩🤭💕
I want to start off by thanking Kelsee and her team for the opportunity to be able to receive an ARC of this book.
I’m obsessed. Wyatt and Whitney are perfect. They initially knew each other growing up but had one night together a little over 2 years ago.
Whitney realized she was pregnant by her ex and cut things off with Wyatt. 2 years later, Brinley is 18 months old and she just lost her store and her apartment in a fire. Wyatt offers to take them both in until she’s back on her feet.
They both think the other dislikes them and spend all their time trying to push their feelings away. When Andrew comes back around trying to obtain full custody, Wyatt suggests a marriage of convenience.
Now let me tell you, I LOVE marriage of convenience. I love it even more when they have underlying feelings prior to the marriage and it comes out in full force later down the road.
I love how Wyatt helped Whitney break through her PPD and begin to love herself again. He loved her enough for the both of them and never failed to prove it. This man was meant to be Brinley’s dad even if they don’t share any blood.
I can’t wait to see what’s next for Haden and Vivienne in the next book.
* *
“We don’t even like each other half the time.”
“How far that is from the truth is almost laughable. I can admit that I have in no way been warm or fuzzy when it comes to Whitney, but that’s only because hating her is easier than wanting her.”
“She doesn’t need you to be everything. She doesn’t need you to be perfect. She just needs you. The one who stays when it’s hard. The one who wakes up at two in the morning to rock her back to sleep. You don’t need to be perfect; you just need to be her mom.”
“I hate everyone except you, Whitney. That’s my problem.”
Thank you to Kelsee for the opportunity read this in advance.
Small-town romance, suspense, hate(?)-to-love, single parent, rancher hero, ‘fake’ (Spoiler: it was never fake!) marriage… If you even like these tropes, then this is one for you.
Onto the characters... Whitney and Wyatt are steamy, sparks fly and he’s secretly a golden retriever with a hidden doberman streak - the bedroom? Whoah!!! Whitney is struggling. A caution to readers, this does delve into some very serious issues (list of content warnings is supplied in the book), but does include parental neglect, PPD, so avoid if this may be a trigger for you. It does take up a significant amount if the book as she is dealing with her trauma from her childhood, and her feelings of worth as a parent now. The bond with the horse was gorgeous and was pivotal in her own feelings.
Wyatt… where to begin. The hero that we all want. He was all in, but when he was shut out of her life after their night, he stepped back. I did hurt for him, and after the introduction to him, I was a little worried. But, no need. He was dominant, protective and he owned the bedroom (among other locations)….
The story It’s not all romance, though. There’s a bit of suspense. Someone’s causing problems, the ex is getting to be a problem, a wannabe OW (thankfully disappeared pretty early), and Wyatt was having to constantly battle Whitney’s problems….
Overall, a great read, and I’m looking forward to the next - after some very heavy hints…!
OMG what can I say about this book without spoiling it for you all.
First of all, Add it to your TBR list! It’s out in little over a week. And would like to thank Kelsee for allowing me to be an ARC reader for her.
This book made me cry, I mean I was a sobbing mess at one point.. I’m a skip the trigger warnings page and go straight to the prologue kinda gal. Going back now, there isn’t anything in the Content warnings that would have alarmed me, nor put me of reading this book. It is just simply how beautiful the story is written about motherhood, trauma, how Whitney is now re-finding herself through motherhood as a single parent, and most of all the love of a family.
This book has all my favourite little tropes including; plot twists, small town romances, forced proximity, fake marriage, slow burn and cowboy x single mum.
I was hooked from the very beginning, Whitney and Wyatt’s story began from a one night stand. Fast forward months later, when Whitney reenters Wyatts life. What started off as a fake marriage for convenience turned into the most beautiful love story between these two main charters. The Sass and banter between them was simple chemistry, and the love that Wyatt has towards Brinley, melted my heart multiple times over.
My favourite quote, ‘Do you hate me? Do you tolerate me? …. “What’s your problem” (Whitney)… ‘I hate everyone except you, Whitney. That’s my Problem. (Wyatt)
I am so grateful to have been selected for Kelsee’s ARC team because, oh my goodness was this book just the sweetest thing!! In my humble opinion, Kelsee’s writing is up there with other small town romance icons like Elsee Silver and Laurie Gilmore. This book was so raw and relatable, I absolutely adored Whitney and Wyatt’s love story. I purposefully go into books blind without reading the tropes because I like to be surprised, and when I realized this was going to be a marriage of convenience, I literally kicked my feet. Love that trope BAD.
Also, I need to touch on how perfectly Kelsee wrote Whitney and her struggles as a new mum because as a fellow new mum, it seriously hit hard. The way Whitney spoke about her newfound postpartum body, how Wyatt cherishes her and all her “imperfections”, how she recognizes her own mental struggles and gets help for her PPD; it was written so tastefully and was so beautiful and honest. I felt so seen in her character, and I think it could also help encourage those reading who haven’t experienced those feelings themselves to show a little extra support to anyone they know who may be in the thick of it like Whitney.
Overall, I think this story and Kelsee deserve all the booktok buzz, all the hype and all the praise because seriously… this book deserves to be trad published. Kelsee’s writing is clean and creative and her stories definitely deserve a spot on your shelf. Give this one a shot, you won’t regret it 🙂↕️
Redemption by Kelsee Warrick is book 2 of her Clover-Hills Series. This is a Small Town, Single Mom x Cowboy Romance following Whitney Adler and Wyatt Conway. 🚩This is for readers 18 years and/or older as it has mature content and not suitable for underage readers. There are dark themes that can be triggering so please check out the content warning before you dive in 🚩
My thoughts 💭 This one hit closer to home than I thought it would. As someone who comes from a not so great childhood, who was also a single mom, I feel this one deep in my soul. The way Wyatt loves Whitney so deeply and patiently is beautiful, anyone can father a child but it takes a special man to be a dad to a child who isn’t biologically his. Whitney, she is every mom in every moment of every day. Overwhelmed, overstimulated, happy, sad, lonely but a low social battery also. It’s not easy being a mom but it’s even harder being a single mom and my heart broke for her so many times because I have been there. But we always get back up when this life knocks us down because our kids deserve that, we deserve that. This book is so great, I absolutely loved Salvation but I think I love Redemption even more. If you are looking for a small town romance with a single mom and a broody cowboy, then this is one for you. I 100% recommend it!
✨I would like to thank the author Kelsee Warrick, for the opportunity to read and review Redemption.
There is something about reading books where characters find true companionship, both platonic and romantic, in unexpected places that blooms a seed of hope inside of me. It is a reminder that family is people who you decide to be your family even if you don't share the same blood.
This book is also a reminder that love should never be transactional and conditional. The relationship between a mother and her daughter is sacred. Becoming a mother is a choice and your daughter do not owe you anything. Your daughter do not need to pay for your emotional debt. Sometimes, this is not something people understand easily and that is a shame. Our FMC, on the other hand, perfectly understands this and I think that makes her character arc all the more beautiful considering what she has gone through at the hands of her own mother.
Here's a little disclaimer if you're considering reading this book: There are mentions of mature themes and language inside. There are many open scenes. You can skip those and find a list of chapters to avoid. You can also find a list of trigger warnings online. However, this is not a dark romance book. Still, if there are things that can trigger you, please know that your mental health is important.
I've received an ARC for this book. This does not affect my honest review. Thank you so much to the author for sharing her work. This has been a nice read.
Absolutely loved this story and I’m loving Clover Hills. This is the second book in a series of standalone’s and though this can be read on its own I highly recommend reading the first one too.
These books are so brilliantly written and I love how realistic and true the storyline and characters are.
Redemption follows Whitney and Wyatt on their journey together. I think this esports hit 5 stars for me because it was so relatable as a single mama and seeing the struggles that Whitney had to go through.
It also teaches you that no matter how hard life can be, never give up. Whitney goes through such a rough time but in the end she fights for what she wants and her relationship with Wyatt shows not every guy is the same.
I adore Wyatt in this story. For someone to come along and support a single mum and then treats her daughter as his own is so heart warming to see and the possessive, protective side just makes him.
There is a lot of dramatic moments in this one that did leave my heart in my mouth at some points and I definitely didn’t see ‘THAT’ coming but it makes the book and I can’t think of anything that could have made it better.
💜 Marriage Of Convenience 💜 Cowboy X Single Mum 💜 Forced Proximity 💜 Slow Burn 💜 Small Town Romance
Whitney and Wyatt… I don’t even know where to start. Their story is messy and heartbreaking and so human. That one-night stand? It wasn’t just heat—it was connection. And when Whitney walked away, I felt Wyatt’s pain in my chest. But when she comes back, single mom and guarded, and he opens his home (and eventually his heart) to her again? I was gone. Absolutely ruined.
Wyatt is the kind of man you can’t help falling for—rough around the edges, stubborn as hell, but with the softest heart. The way he cared for Whitney’s daughter, how naturally he fit into their lives without forcing it—that’s the kind of hero that stays with you. And Whitney, strong and scared and trying so hard to protect her little girl and her heart… she’s everything.
The tension between them simmers from the moment they’re back in the same space. It’s not just chemistry—it’s love that never really went away, trying to find its way back through guilt, fear, and forgiveness. Every look, every whispered moment, every stolen touch felt earned.
And then the danger, the emotions, the redemption—god, it all hit so hard. This isn’t just a love story; it’s about second chances, healing, and finding home in the last place you expected.
Here we follow Whitney (Winnie) as she is going throw the struggles of being a single mom with no family (besides a half sister) trying to navigate this new life while owning her own bakery. Whitney tries to hold everything in because ‘she’s fine’ ( any new parent knows that struggles) especially with her being stubborn. But she has to put all that aside when a tragedy strikes.
Insert Wyatt, he hasn’t been able to get Whitney off his mind since their one night stand. When she finds she needs a place to stay he is there is a heartbeat. And when the bio dad wants to take custody the only solution is marriage… right?!?
I absolutely love that Wyatt accepts Brinley as his own without any hesitation and how he loves Whitney’s mom bod.
Favorite quotes
Whitney is like a fever I can’t shake. A hunger I can never satisfy.
I can’t remember her middle name or if she takes cream in her coffee, but I know exactly what it sounds like when she moans my name.
It’s like Wyatt was made to tempt me–like he understands every dip, every spot on my body that begs to be touched.

Thank you Silver Editing Co. and Kelsee Warrick for an ARC copy of Redemption
Perfect small town romance, easy fast, read. I think it is safe to say Kelsee Warrick is an instant read author for me. I loved both of her Clover-Hill books. Personally, this book hit a little close to home. Whitney and her relationship with her mother and the childhood she endured was very relatable to me. It made the story have a deeper meaning and therefore I loved it so much more than I thought I would. A book you can form a connection with is so important. I love the validation and emotions it stirred for me while reading. I can also say I was so relatable how Whitney felt as a new mother. It is the biggest fear I have for my own child when it arrives. The fear of giving your child the same childhood you had or becoming the mother you don't want to imitate. It's so hard to straighten that out in your mind. I get it, painfully, and this book soothed some of that fear for me. It really was a perfect read for the perfect time.
Not everyone deserves forgiveness and it's not your responsibility to give it to them.
My only complaint is that I crave longer, deeper chapters. That's just me having a personal preference though.
I loved this book so much; it hit my heart in so many ways.
I fell in love with Wyatt from the beginning. I am a sucker for grumpy MMCs. I loved their one-night stand and how I got to see his perspective on Whitney’s pregnancy. How he’s had feelings for her since their hook up 🥹😭❤️.
And when he took responsibility and took in Whitney and Brinley after her bakery and home burned down, did I cry… sure? And did I also laugh and giggle at my Kindle because I knew the tension would be beautiful? Yess!! She had no choice, he says she stays, so she stays 😏. He is sweet, wonderful, hot, has a filthy mouth, and I love him.
His relationship with Brinley was so cute, heartwarming and beautiful.
This book is everything: it’s cute, cosy, heartwarming, supportive, and beautiful – and SEXY! Holy sh*t, can we talk about how he was when he grabbed her ponytail when she acted like a brat? I LOVED IT, it was fuckin hot.
And what I loved for Whitney was finally getting the family she deserves, standing up for herself and getting what she wants. Whitney is strong, resilient, brave, amazing and beautiful, and she is so hardworking. Some moments made me cry for her, but she is a fighter, and I love that she and Brinley get their HEA.
Thank you so much, Kelsee Warrick and everafter PR for the ARC opportunity.
“Some days, it feels like I do everything I can to be perfect, to be what she needs, yet it almost always feels like nothing I do is enough.” realest statement ever. I loved Winnie. The touch on PPD, and motherhood journey in general, including intrusive thoughts, Body changes was so real and raw. She's a relatable strong resilient FMC
"You don’t need to be perfect; you just need to be her mom.” Wyatt!!!! 😭 Cowboy/ small town romances will always have a soft spot with me. Wyatt is a strong MMC who's extremely supportive, patient, and actually listens 🥹 he's so self aware. How he is with Brinley is everything 😍
Their dynamic is pretty complex given everything that happened. I love how smoothly this flowed. My eyes definitely leaked at all the small touching moments with not only Wyatt and Winnie but her found family as well. This entire book was so heartfelt. Full of compassion and loyalty showcasing the definition of "it takes a village." While some parts are kind of heavy there are plenty of laughable moments, DRAMA, sprinkled with a bit of mystery! Overall this was a very sweet read and I thoroughly enjoyed it!
Thank you for my ARC! I'm leaving this review voluntarily.
Redemption is a single mum/ marriage of convenience for Whitney and Wyatt, and it doesn’t disappoint at all.
I really liked the characters, poor Whitney it was literally just one thing after another for her, she was stubborn wouldn’t really let people help. And then there’s grumpy Wyatt, a man who dislikes most people, but Whitney and her daughter have a special place in his heart. Wyatt didn’t hesitate to help Whitney when she needed it, even though she pushed him.
The relationship between the two was really sweet, Wyatt would do anything for her. He definitely fell so hard for Whitney, Whitney was a little more guarded, but there was always something about Wyatt that drawn her to him.
The story itself was written well, it had the elements of a marriage of convenience which I liked, it gave second chances vibes too for Wyatt and Whitney, it also mentioned heavy elements like mental health and depression which I think was handle well. The relationship between the two main characters were right on point and it also had some suspense which had me hooked to the very end.
All around a very enjoyable story, can’t wait for book three.
I had the pleasure of reading Redemption by Kelsee Warrick early, and wow 😍 I absolutely loved it.
Whitney’s story as a single mom felt so refreshing and real. You don’t often see that perspective in romance, and it made her journey all the more powerful. Watching her start to rediscover who she was and what she deserved was beautiful.
And Wyatt? Whew. 😅 Total book boyfriend material. Broody, patient, protective, and just the right amount of soft under all that cowboy grit. His whole family was amazing, but his mom, Ana, completely stole my heart (and maybe gave me a few pep talks I needed).
I loved how Kelsee tied Whitney’s growth to her bond with her horse; Such a cool touch, and the way Wyatt’s family gave her space to breathe, heal, and start living again. This story had heart, hope, and a dash of mystery that kept me turning pages late into the night.
The ending was so satisfying! Justice, redemption, and just enough emotion to make me tear up a little. I can’t wait to see where this series goes next!
single mom | cowboy | marriage of convenience | forced proximity | slow burn | small town
Yall are going to fall in love with Whitney & Wyatt - from their unbeatable connection, the hope and healing intertwined throughout their story and the emotional vulnerability brought out had me so deeply invested.
These two shared one night together, but life was certain to get in the way of anything more…until it brought them back in the heart of tragedy. These two have shadows their running from, emotional scars so desperate to be hidden but the way the see one another so wholeheartedly was breathtaking. I loved seeing Wyatt continue to show up, be present without question and never fail to remind Whitney all the beauty & strength he sees from her. The banter, the tension, the slow burn of will they/wont they will have your heart feeling strangled in the best way✨
Thank you to @authorkelseewarrick & team for the opportunity to read an early copy for review🫶🏻

This is the first book I have read by this author, and she was kind enough to provide the ARC. Although this is the second book in the series, I didn't feel that I needed to read the first book to enjoy this one. The story of Wyatt and Whitney was an entertaining tale of a marriage of convenience, featuring a single mom who has been having the worst luck. When a fire destroys her business and home, Whitney takes up Wyatt’s offer to stay and work at his ranch. They have a complicated past, including a one-night stand and a close family and friends’ connection. Even when their marriage begins to be more than for show, Whitney’s past comes back, causing problems. Overall, it was a really enjoyable book, with good characters and a relatable storyline that kept me turning pages. I adored the relationship between Whitney’s daughter, Brinley, and Wyatt. It was written so well and believably that it really made the book!

Now for the review:
Nothing beats a beautifully written cowboy romance book 😌 this felt like a fast-paced read for me, the way it was written was so easy to get into and I loooove that about books!
The story was heartfelt and the struggles of our FMC, Whitney, being a single mum along with everything else was handled carefully. She was left broken but also strong and I like that resiliency was highlighted throughout this book. Wyatt (MMC) was made to love Whitney and Brinley. The chemistry didn’t feel forced or random and I like how much I loved they complemented each other.
There were heavy themes surrounding family and emotions were raw so do read the TW before starting. All in all, I enjoyed this read! It was real, romantic and who doesn’t love a cowboy HEA romance 🤗
Thank you to the author, Kelsee Warrick, for gifting me this eARC. All opinions in this review are my own.
This book was slower to start than I wanted it to be, but by the end, I wished I had enjoyed the beginning a little more.
Wyatt is the definition of a perfect man. He fell hard and loves deeper. He stepped up and loved a child that wasn't biologically his without a second question.
Whitney. Oh sweet character. My heart went out to her throughout this book and I experienced so many different emotions with her. She was a wonderful and resilient single mom that did her best to overcome every obstacle.
The end of this book had me angry, swooning, and heartbroken within pages of each other. I never would have thought her mother and ex would conspire together to end her life out of spite.
Do yourself a favor, read this book. Fall in love like Wyatt. Trust like Whitney.

Such an easy 5⭐️ This has determined that cowboy romances will always be my favourite. This had so many of my favourite tropes, slow-burn, marriage of convenience, one night stand, small town romance. Im absolutely obsessed with both Wyatt and Winnie, and her sweet daughter Brinley😭 I honestly have no faults i loved absolutely everything about this book! Im begging everyone to check this one out! As we know by now im super picky with romances. This reminded me a lot of Elsie Silver style writing (which i love!)
I loved how both MC's knew they had personal issues, and dealt them head on, there was no miscommunication or random third act breakups.
I didnt realise this is book 2 in a series, and I have now bought book 1! Im also super excited to see Viv and Haden have their story in book 3😍
