A fake relationship. One wrong text. And a decade of tension, about to explode.
Kay Sam Wallace was my first love, my father’s ranch hand, and the boy who wrecked more than just Dad’s antique truck. Ten years ago, he vanished from Wild Bronco without a word, leaving me with nothing but heartbreak and unanswered questions. Now he’s back. But he’s different now. Older, rougher, and a whole lot harder to ignore. I want nothing to do with him… until I find myself wrapping my arm around him at the local bar and calling him my boyfriend. It’s just a ploy to make my ex-boyfriend jealous. But when one late-night text turns into a string of blisteringly hot messages, I realize I’ve been sexting the wrong man.
Sam I left this town with a trail of burned bridges behind me. I returned scarred and tattooed, and determined to make things right. Starting with Kay, the sweet small town girl I could never forget no matter how hard I tried. She thinks this fake relationship is just an act for the night. I’ll play along, making sure to mark my territory in front of her worthless ex-boyfriend. But to me, this is anything but pretend. Because I’ve spent years wanting her. Dreaming of her. Inking my skin with reminders of the things I left unsaid. And now that I’ve got her in my arms again, I’m not letting go. The truth is, Kay is already mine. She just doesn’t know it yet.
Sexting the Tattooed Outlaw is a short, spicy instalove novella with fake dating, small-town drama, filthy texts, and a possessive cowboy who only has eyes for her.
He left town 10 years ago and a cloud of shame he was young. He was impulsive and he made a mistake. She was in love with him, not that he seemed to notice, but when he left, it broke her heart. Now he’s back, wanting to make amends, including to her. She doesn’t know if she can trust him. He’s determined to prove her wrong. This is a little bit of a slow burn as the story gets laid out. I also don’t really care for the title. I don’t think it suits to the story. Yes there was text but now it’s not the focus of the story. This is a short story format. You do not expect to get complex character development, or overly detailed plot lines. You get enough here to have a sense of who they are and feel connected to their story. There’s a little bit of sweetness or a little bit of spice and a second chance happily ever after.

The title of this book is too dramatic. The two MCs had a two-minute text conversation through text. It could barely be called “sexting”. The MFC makes a comment, MMC replies to it, MFC texts a challenge to the MMC, then the rest of the conversation is in-person.
The MMC is not an outlaw. He states that the judge wiped his record clean. Not sure how this is an office romance.
It’s a very short story with a whole lot of gaps - such as, why did it take the MMC 10 years to come back to say sorry? He didn’t do something so awful that it was iffy on whether or not he was redeemable. He was a handyman on a ranch for a couple of years during high school. He stole one of the cars and left and no one heard from him for 10 years. He comes back, says sorry, sends the MFC a text, she responds, they hookup, and then they get married.
Kay and Sam have their second chance at love in this mildly steamy, short story. They grew up together, but Sam made some bad decisions that made him run away, ashamed of his actions. He didn't think that he was worthy of Kay. She only wanted him. It was okay. I wouldn't say that this was a 100% sexting novella, since they only had one scene where it could be considered "sexting", but it still is a nice, slightly angsty romance.
Sam and Kay were together until he disappears without saying a word to her. Now he is back in town, and she is confused about how she feels. He wants a second chance, but she doesn't know if she can trust him again. Will she take a chance on him?
This is a great story that will hook you in the first chapter. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

I wanted a quick read but also a good story behind it and Sexting The Tattooed Outlaw delivered, I loved the main characters and the development of the relationship. A short steamy page turner that involved small-town drama and I couldn’t put it down. I highly recommend this book and you won’t be disappointed!.

Ten years of wanting the woman he never thought he was worthy. Liked this slow romance as the main characters neither forgot about the other. Enjoyed how Sam decided to be bold and prove to himself and Kay that he was there to stay.

I really enjoyed this book. Her best friend was a real hoot with her text savvy self. I’m so glad he could make amends with her family. He really tried hard to be the best person he could be.
A little OTT!! But perfect in every way. I liked the idea of the story. Accidentally sexting someone when you actually think your sexting a boyfriend chat bot app instead.... Another great short and sexy read.
