In Looking for Home, a Christian fiction by Eileen M. Berry, Liz and Micah have just moved to an apartment building from their home on a farm. They are sure there is buried treasure in their new backyard. But just as they set about digging, someone comes to spy! Is she out to steal their treasure, or will they find an even better one? Humor, love, kindness, and sympathy cross the generations in this heartwarming story of homesick neighbors who come together in their quest for new homes and for real treasure, the kind that lasts forever.
Aww, this was a very cute story! The kids' ideas for how to make the apartment building feel like home for Grandma Jan were both sweet and predictably chaotic, and I liked that the wrap-up was both realistic and happy. :)
This book is well-written. It has a good plot and great perspective on life. I would recommend this for kids who are just starting to read beginning chapter books.
Content: Clean. Appropriate for kids. No curse words or explicit scenes.
