I liked volume 1 of Love is in the Small Things so much, I had to read volume 2, asap. This book is just so sweet and heartwarming, highlighting the everyday moments that show what love truly is. The illustrations and blurbs remind you to slow down and enjoy being in the moment, instead of waiting for some grand gesture to prove another’s love for you. It’s all the small things together that define that love. ❤️

A wonderful reminder that love lives in the ordinary. I really enjoyed the illustrations and how heartfelt it all was. I thought it was cute that the cat was in every image.

Hidup memang tak bisa selalu bahagia, seperti yang ditunjukkan oleh dua tokoh dalam gambarku. Seringkali aku merasa sangat lelah dan ingin menangis. Namun, dalam kehidupan yang tidak sempurna itu, aku bisa merasakan suka cita dan kebahagiaan. Aku mensyukuri momen-momen kecil yang berharga itu, kemudian menuangkannya ke dalam gambar-gambarku.

Kurasa, aku lebih menyukai buku Puuung yang satu ini karena cuplikan-cuplikannya lebih relevan dalam kehidupanku. Setiap kali aku sedih, kue manis selalu jadi obat yang manjur. Selain itu, aku juga menyukai ilustrasi ketika sang pria membelikan sang wanita minuman rasa favoritnya. Sungguh lelaki idaman!
Tidak seperti bukunya yang pertama, Puuung menyelipkan juga konflik-konflik kecil yang manusiawi dan pasti terjadi dalam sebuah hubungan. Seperti ketika sang wanita kesal karena sang pria menghabiskan biskuitnya.
Ilustrasi Puuung dalam buku ini menjadi lebih hidup berkat narasinya yang lebih panjang dan berupa dialog. Aku jadi bisa membayangkan kedua karakter yang menjadi pusat cerita dalam buku ini menjadi lebih hidup.
Aku berharap Bhuana Sastra akan menerbitkan karya Puuung lainnya karena menyelami buku ini sungguh menentramkan hati.
