3.5 ⭐ (Really Liked It)

Weird story. Was walking around Tombstone, AZ and went into a saddle makers shop. After wandering around and Ooohhhh-ing and Ahhhhhh-ing I happened across this little devotional at the front of the store. I picked it up just to look at it, and the owner said, "Take 1! Take 2, even, and give it to someone."

So I did.

Initially when I started this it was not my cup o' tea. I thought it was cheesy to the max and the print was laughable. Different size font on some pages. Different type of font on others. Writing that wasn't very good.

But as I continued on, all of these things became more endearing. That no matter what this guy was going to get his devotional and his stories out in the world because it's what he felt God wanted him to do. Stories started hitting a little bit better when I stopped being so judge-y about the little things.

All that to say I ended up enjoying this quite a bit. Jeff Copenhaver has loved quite the life! And I'm glad that he can use that to spread God's love.

I wouldn't recommend this to many people, to be fair, but there is stuff to enjoy in here for sure. And maybe if you give it a chance, you might just end up coming away pleasantly surprised as well.

I really liked this book a lot! It is a good daily devotion for anyone in the rodeo business or even just anyone who needs a little push in the right direction. He gives life experiences and connects them with the Bible to make it a very understandable and motivational book.
