Kind of difficult for me to rate a book like this. I have always had a curiosity about hypnosis/self-hypnosis. I have wondered how they are related to meditation and prayer, as they all seem to be related in some way in my thinking. One of the interesting thoughts in this book was this: "Basic to [Milton Erickson's:] method is the notion that whatever personal problem you have in life, whatever barrier is blocking your progress, the way you get past it, the way you overcome it, is not by fighting against the problem, not by storming the barrier, but by accepting yourself just as you are." He talks about acceptance as a pro-active, energizing element.
Not sure what I got from the book, but there are little kernals that interested me and got me thinking. I have not yet tried the self-hypnosis, and I think that's kind of funny :)
