A BWWM Romance of Scandal, Survival, and Obsession

Asha Monroe is the best fixer in the business—a Black woman in red lipstick, sharp heels, and an iron will who never lets her clients see her sweat. But she’s never met a mess like Liam tattoo artist, former chef, notorious bad boy, and the living embodiment of every headline she’s been sent to kill.

He’s got more ink than cash, a past scarred by scandal, and a reputation one mistake away from annihilation. Asha’s job? Clean it up. Save the shop. Keep her heart out of it.

Too bad Liam’s body is a weapon, his mouth a dare, and every rule she’s ever clung to goes up in flames the moment he backs her against a studio wall.

When the press comes for blood, the investors want someone to crucify, and her own boss is ready to throw her under the bus, Asha is forced to walk away and save her career, or risk everything for the man who makes her burn.

In the glare of cameras and the chaos of a public breakdown, every lie they told themselves is stripped away. Each bruise, every mark, becomes a brand—proof that they’ve survived, together. The only thing hotter than their chemistry is the fallout when the world catches them in the act.

She’s tired of being told to play small. He’s done letting anyone write his story but him. Together, they’ll burn the city to the ground for one more taste.

I write BWWM romance across four lanes: dark mafia, contemporary, paranormal, and erotic short stories—all built on obsession, power, and the kind of love that leaves bruises on your pride (in the best way).

My stories live where leverage matters. Where desire is a decision. Where the man doesn’t chase—he claims. And the woman isn’t a prize—she’s the one who can burn the whole operation down if she’s pushed wrong.

My debut novel, Dark Vows, released May 1, 2025, and it set the tone for what I do: high heat, hard choices, ruthless devotion, and heroines who don’t fold just because a powerful man wants them. Whether I’m writing mafia wars and bloodline politics, a contemporary romance that hits like a confession, a paranormal world with teeth, or a fast, filthy short meant to be read in one breath—my focus stays the same:

competent Black women, dangerous men, clear consent, and HEAs that are earned.

If you like romance with edge, intensity, and consequences—welcome.
If you want sweet, soft, and polite… you’re probably in the wrong place.

Start with Dark Vows. Then pick your poison.

An edge and line of total consent

This story held a different edginess and voice. I wasn't into at first but as I read and listened, I liked it more. Consent matters. No matter how famous someone is, their right privacy is sacred. The standing on purpose and integrity about autonomy was powerful. Love is powerful and doesn't have a timeline or a set person.
I love the consistency of every line. The ritual of keeping work, work, and boundaries intact.
Another story worth reading from this author.

I came to this book for the romance, but what floored me was the writing. The style is vivid, cinematic, and relentless. The infamous “cow leg incident” that opens the story is unforgettable. From there, the book delivers scene after scene that feels alive. Every detail, from the smell of green soap in the shop to the buzz of the tattoo machine, makes the world real.

This book is pure ache, in the best sense. It is about sex, yes, but also about privacy, consent, power, and healing. It does not shy away from the ugly parts of desire or the cost of being wanted in public. The love story between Asha and Reid is earned, every step of the way. By the time I reached the last page, I wanted to start over.
