This book had me hooked right from the beginning, The disappearance of Mayor Eileen Bratton immediately set the tone for a tense, suspenseful ride. I loved how Sheriff Rebecca Anderson and her team were portrayed determined and relentless. The parallel investigations, from the brutal attack on the young girl to the shocking murder in the retirement community, kept me guessing the whole way through. Full of twists, drama, and surprises, I couldn’t put it down.
