If you love short but pack full of everything you need in a novella YOU WILL love this! Only downfall was it’s not long enough I want, no I NEED more Jack and Robyn please!

Firstly I want to say thank you so much to CJ Riggs for sending me this ARC, It made my day when she asked if I’d like it, I of course started it straight away 🥹🫶🏻🤎

Jacks back on his own after 7 years, he’s finally getting divorced. He’s not upset about it though, Jennifer is an ice queen! Sleeping with the chef & then leaving isn’t the classiest way out! But being single at 49 isn’t what he’d planned either.

Robyn also hates her mother, every time they plan to meet Jennifer forgets & Robyn is left stood up time after time, this time was no different! After flying out to see her mum not only is she not there but Jacks the one to tell her that her mum has left & taken everything with her, including her daughters bed 🤦🏼‍♀️

She’s not happy but with a snow storm taking over theirs no choice but for Robyn to stay with Jack anyway. Even though she met him at 18 she’s not really had a relationship with him the last 7 years but she’s always thought he’s kinda hot!

Jack never looked at Robyn that way, it would be wrong wouldn’t it? But this snow storm is bringing something out of both of them, the attraction is clearly their, it’s just wether too act on it or not that’s the problem 🤭

I ADORED this so much!! It read like I was getting a cosy hug, you know when you instantly love the writing & you just smile the whole way through…this was one of them!

The spice, the taboo, the humour, I absolutely loved it!! Robyn was sassy, confident & submissive & I pictured Jack as the 6ft plus total DILF that was in control the whole time 🥵

I need to devour every single thing Riggs has written right now 😌🫶🏻

Arc/beta review!

Where do I even begin?

This book means more than anything to me, not only is it some of my most favourite tropes but it’s dedicated to me which is such a surreal feeling. The day Riggs told me she wanted to dedicate it to me, I cried like a little girl because I never thought something like this would happen. And for it to be one of my favourite authors who did it, I am truly honoured 🥰

Now back to the book itself!! GODDAMN THIS IS HOOOOOOOT 🥵 this is set all across a weekend, so as you can imagine, it’s a fairly fast paced novella BUT you may still have to wait for a bit of smut 😏 in true Riggs fashion, she teases the reader with little things that you expect to turn smutty, giving you little treats making you wait for what’s to come and when I say it’s worth waiting for what’s coming, it’s worth it…

This follows Robyn and Jack, they have a tasty age gap and their relationship is oh sooo forbidden 😏🤤 being snowed in with Pedro Pascal looking step daddy? Erm excuse me! Yes please, and where can I get one? 👀

Now i don’t like spoilers so I won’t be spoiling anything but this story is the perfect palette cleanser or filler book in you tbr, its smutty, it has some plot (just enough), it’s got banter, trauma, cheating (but totally justified) and soo much more but all packaged into such an amazing book!!

I have read this numerous times now through the beta reading process and when I tell you I fell in love with it every single time, I truly did! I adore the characters and their relationship and connection they have, Robyn is such a down to earth and genuine human and Jack is just perfection (but then again Riggs’ men are chefs kiss).

If you are needing something with low plot and high smut to get you out of a slump or a break between big books or just need a fix of that smut, I urge you to grab this on the 5th of April! You won’t regret it 🖤

So I want to start this review of by saying all thoughts and feelings are my own. I want to thank CJ Riggs for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book before release.

As always if a book starts with a playlist I will mention it because I love a good playlist and this one did not disappoint. So many good songs on it!! I also have to shout out to two close friends, Elora and Letty. Elora got the book dedicated to her and there's a character called Letty after Letty.

So this book is delicious. It's set over a couple of days and is pretty short so as you can only imagine it is quick paced but it's soooo good. I am surprised that it took a while to get to the smut but I am happy for the build up. The age gap felt like a call out (the FMC is 25 and so am I currently) and the fact it was forbidden too 😍🥵. I absolutely love the relationship between Jack and Robyn but my favourite relationships was how Letty is with Robyn and Jack's relationship with his brother both made me laugh so much.

I can't say too much more ore I'll end up spoiling it and I don't like doing that but it's well worth the read, as always with Rigg's work.

Jack, Jack, Jack. The hot older guy who’s sinfully delicious and practically forbidden. But forbidden can be fun, especially for Robyn who just so happens to be Jack’s 25 yr old stepdaughter. Oh, let the fun begin.

This is a spicy little novella that has all the elements to help submerge you into your age gap fantasies. (If that’s your thing, which lately I’m finding out, is).

Robyn strongly dislikes her mother, and the feeling seems to be mutual. They’ve never gotten along and on this rare occasion that her mother has claimed to want to spend time with her, Robyn bites and gets a plane to Colorado. Except when she arrives at her mother and stepdads home, her mother is gone and Jack is home alone. A winter storm is rolling in and for Robyn to leave tonight would be unnecessarily dangerous….so Jack, her stepdad who she’s only seen 3 times prior, suggests she stay….and stay she does…

The spice could melt the snowstorm single-handedly because it’s that scorching. Jack is complete “Daddy” vibes and Robyn…and obviously myself, are here for it.

A quick, fun spicy read that’ll hit all the hot spots. A definite recommend.

This was an utter pleasure to read! I have to admit the spice was spicing!! 🌶️😏 I loved all the characters but the two that stole my heart and I found their relationship was full of love and humour and that I enjoyed the most was the brothers Jack and Ellis. 💙🤣 I did like the FMC found she was funny and heartful.

Overall I throughly loved this book!! And already I cannot wait to reread this 😋

Short, Spicy and funny .. Perfect little novella!

Okayyy i’m guna be reaaallllyyyy honest (Don’t come for me🫣😂) - Even though i’m a sl*t for a forbidden romance! I Didn’t quite no how I felt about the whole step daddy thing but FUXK ME! CJ absolutely convinced me in the best way possible!!
This was soooo perfectly done and possibly one of the hottest books i’ve read to date! - Which is saying something 😂
In true cj fashion the fmc Robyn is sassy as hell takes no shit and has a mouth on her .. in more ways than one! IYKYK!😏 and jack? JACK! - Jack is the ultimate daddy dom! 🥵🥵 The banter these 2 have is absolutely fantastic and the inner dialogues just make it even better imo! 🤌🏼😂

I needed a book to get me out of my reading slump and this was the perfect book to do that!

A smutty taboo romance between a step dad and step daughter. Although not for everyone, given there dynamic, I loved this.

The fact they had only met a handful of times and he was still nice enough to let her stay the night after what her mom did, mix that with their instant connection and the fact that it didn't feel forced at any point.

One part I loved about this was how Jack didn't care what his friends or brother thought and instantly told them despite it being taboo. Although a couple of questions and raised eyebrows, nobody actually cared and just wanted both Jack and Robyn to be happy.

This was such a fun, spicy little read! If you’re looking for something quick, steamy, and entertaining without committing to a huge book, this is definitely worth picking up. The chemistry between the characters was so good, and the tension kept things exciting from start to finish.

I especially loved the FMC - she was fiery, confident, and brought so much personality to the story. Her dynamic with the MMC made this such an addictive read, especially with the forbidden-but-not-really vibe that added extra spice to the plot.

For a book that’s only around 137 pages, it packed in a lot of heat, fun moments, and chemistry without ever feeling dragged out. Perfect for anyone wanting a fast, spicy romance to binge in one sitting!

I had so much fun reading this novella, as I always do reading CJ Riggs!

Our MMC was the perfect amount of grumpy asshole and our FMC was so sassy and submissive that it was just so much fun to read. Their banter was refreshing and the spice? The live? FUCK YES.

I absolutely love the cam girl trope (is it classed as a trope??) especially when mixed with a taboo relationship, it always add some fun tension and this novella did that even though it was only 150 pages!!

This was a fun time, I read it in one sitting and was so fast paced, funny and spicy!

I would defo give this a read if you love forbidden/taboo romances!🖤

C.J Riggs never disappoints when it comes to their books. Seduced by my stepdad is an amazingly smutty novella which literally does what it says on the tin. Little plot, lots of spice. Robyn goes to visit her mother and like her normally flaky self fails to tell her she has recently separated from her husband and isn’t there to greet her when she knocks on her stepfathers door. Jack invites her to stay for the night which results in a longer encounter as they find themselves snowed in……. I bet you can guess what happens next. The spice is absolute perfection, the banter and humour is hilarious and the writing is amazing. If you want a nice little smutty read then this is definitely the one for you

Jack’s relationship with his brother was honestly adorable. Brits really do banter and humour in the most elite way, and it showed throughout the story. The dynamic between the MCs and their friend group was just pure fun to read.

Jack and Robyn were sooooo hot. I’ve officially found myself a new book daddy, and I’m keeping him. And

Where to even start!
For a little Novella this had me bloody hooked.
Riggs is one of my favourite authors.. because she knows how to write naughty yet hilarious books 🤣
I could not laugh out loud numerous times, to the point I looked a bit crazy.

Robyn and Jack have a snowed in whirlwind of a naughty time and are convinced that they can put an end date on things.
If only it was so simple!
This is hilariously written with banter, sarcasm and a raw passion neither of them expected.

When Robyn shows up for a visit her mother failed to mention to Jack the heat gets turned up. Jacks wife, Robyn's mom, cheated. Robyn is freshly single after being cheated on. The tension between them undeniable.
A bratty cam-girl and a man who can tame her. A match made in smut heaven.
The banter was top as to be expected from Riggs and that ending!!!

Perfect Palette Cleanser

I wasn’t sure what to expect going in, as CJ Riggs is new to me, but I was pleasantly surprised. I loved Jack and Robyn’s story. It had the right amount of sass mixed with spice and humour, which is a rare combination.

The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is I felt the ending could have been a bit longer and more concrete, but it still tied the ends up nicely!

This was a quick read but just because it was quick, doesn't mean it didn't pack a serious punch. Good gods, this was hot. Our MMC and FMC couldn't keep their hands feom each other. They were hot, the spice was scorching, it has a HEA. So yeah, this has everything you want in a spicy novella. Be aware, this is taboo/forbidden (pretry obvious because of the title) and there is cheating, but not between the main characters. Please don't let that deter you from reading it. It will be your favorite one handed read of the month, I swear!
