When I say I like stalker romance novellas I promise you this one will be recommended👏🏾. For this to be an authors debut it’s done exceptionally well. A lot of novellas I read claim to have plot, but it’s just smut; not complaining just saying🤣. This novella however had well written plot and back story for the mmc. I loved how sassy the fmc was and how she challenged the mmc even if she fell to her knees in the end because GIRL SAME😭.
Can’t wait to read more from this author.

This book is like every stereotype of a dark romance, but, somehow, I still had fun. Is it reinventing the wheel? Absolutely not. It’s nothing new, no incredible plot, not much plot at all. But I still liked the writing style and how the characters were portrayed. It’s short and fast paced, perfect to scratch that stalkēr dark romance itch.
We read this book only cause my Belle and I wanted to read the EMT guy book (the second one). And I gotta say that the sneak peek of Damien’s character was intriguing. I hope it’s gonna be funnier than this one 🤭
There were a lot of growls for being a contemporary romance 💀 buttttt I did love Killian’s dirty mouth, so he’s forgiven. The mouth on that man. Dāmn. Fūck. Me. lol

When I talk about stalker romance, this is exactly what I mean. A man who knows what he wants, puts in the effort to watch from across the road (or a bloody rooftop 👀), learns everything about the woman before the first encounter. I want him to know her favourite flower (mine is Tulip-Queen of Night and Karma-choc Dahlia), what knickers she wears to work and at weekends, and to see him fuming when she’s touched by another bloke. That’s the vibe.
And Killian? He delivers. Ex-military, used to giving orders… and let me just say this: fuuuck, when he does it, it’s hot as hell 🔥. He’s bossy, snarky, grumpy, and has one filthy mouth on him.
One of my fave scenes was when he broke into her flat while she was asleep — and yes, she woke up with him going down on her 😏. (Yes, I know, I need therapy. But darling… dark romance books are my therapy). The maze scene had me smirking, and that forest chase? You know it’s good when you catch yourself slowly licking your teeth like some feral gremlin 😂. Still innocent though. Promise.
What I loved in this book:
- Finally, a gang that’s not Russian is mentioned! 🙌 Even if it was only in passing (Chinese), it’s refreshing to see some variety.
- Arden clearly did her research on weapons and tactical combat. Most dark romance books just throw “gun” or “knife” about with no detail. But here? I actually knew what was used — M110 SASS, Ka-Bar, Glock. (Though personally, I’d have gone with a Beretta M9 or a Smith & Wesson M&P 9 Shield, but that’s just me 🖤).
- The scene where Killian landed feet-first into the SUV windscreen… I was kicking my feet and giggling. This man… fuck 😂.
Why not 5 stars
The length. The last 2–3 chapters felt a bit rushed. A few extra chapters would’ve made it perfect. Other than that, I can’t fault it.

My Synopsis:
When Killian, an ex-Scout, sniper and hired assassin spies Emily through her window while on an assassination job, he becomes instantly obsessed with her. As he stälks his pretty prey, he decides she will be his and no one else will touch her. Emily knows someone’s watching her but instead of being frightened, she finds herself intrigued. While Killian and his associates try to fend off a dangerous syndicate will his new obsession become a weakness they can exploit?
My thoughts:
I couldn’t get enough of Killian and his possessive primal focus on his Emily. Emily is a kindergarten teacher, and I love how she’s excited by the mystery and attracted to the danger her masked stälker has brought into her life. On Halloween night, when she plays Red and Kilian’s the wolf, the spice goes off the charts, and I’m still thinking about that scene! 🪭🪭🔥
Told in dual POV, the banter and sarcasm between the characters had me laughing out loud. With an ex-military Alpha-hole MC who lives the touch her and 💀 trope, dark romance readers don’t want to miss this one! I’m off to meet another stälker in this series, Damien, in My Masked Savior.

Obsession at first sight for Killian. This book could have been a little longer with more interactions with the characters. Killian wears a mask for all of his encounters with Emily so she doesn’t really see what he looks like until after 50%.
Killian is super obsessive and possessive. He’s literally touch her die. He killed not one but two guys on her behalf. He watches her from the shadows and stalks her every move.
I do wish this was more character driven. Or even romance driven. We don’t really know anything about Emily. she’s basically just there for his enjoyment so I wouldn’t really say she’s a likable character. There’s nothing that stands out about her. She’s a kindergarten teacher but we never see her at work and she never really talks about it. I thought that was a missed opportunity. We have no idea why he’s never obsessed with her aside from seeing her through a window and liking what he saw.
I do wish they would have had a safety talk before having unprotected sex, even anal sex. Both of them have had multiple partners but they barely know each other and never talked about it before they went bare.
I’ll check out the next one. Im hoping the female characters are more likable than this one.

I really enjoyed the beginning of this book. It is an entertaining story and follows the classic dark romance tropes. If you enjoy fast-paced, steamy dark romances, this book is definitely for you.
A few things did not quite match my personal reading preferences. The story felt a bit fast-paced at times, and I would have loved a slightly longer book. I also wished there were more moments of found-family interactions between the FMC and the MMC’s friends. The conflict was resolved quickly, and a longer story could have allowed for a little more development and action.
The ending felt a little rushed, and I would have liked a few more pages to explore the characters and their experiences. The FMC’s career as a kindergartener and her difficult boss were mentioned, and it would have been nice to see a bit more of that.
Overall, I really enjoyed the book and finished it in three days. The characters were consistent and fun, the story kept a good pace, the writing was good and had a good flow and the "negative" points are just my personal preferences.
I'm excited to see what this talented debut author does next and I hope to see some longer stories in the future, since they clearly know how to keep the reader hooked and entertained.

Giving 3 because this is definitely a quick read to just get it out of your system. I have a few pet peeves with this book; there was just small “time jumps” for no reason. There was barely any moments of him stalking her.
She was just like these past 2 weeks I’ve felt a tingle at the back of my neck. We never saw the moments of close calls or anything. Which is super frustrating.
This book is very smutty to a point near the end it’s a new position every scene (literally shock smutt). This is a “calm” read. Most of her reactions aren’t even read worthy. It’s very very insta-love. There is a little bit of action from his job but this book was just mainly their romance.

He then chases her through the wood, he sets up a trap and her ankle gets caught. *they do the dirty while shes upside down* I cant make that up either.
He rented out a cabin before the chase and puts her in the hot tub. she asks for an*l LMAO and he just appeared with lube. She damn near dies from both h*les .
She gets kidnapped and then states she feels out of control. So he tells her to restrain him with zip-ties to feel in control. While shes *yk* shes like “i feel the stress from the kidnapping leaving my body” like GIRL you just got saed….

If you are a fan of dark, primal romance, with high tension, obsessive heroes, and morally grey characters, you’ll probably find My Masked Stalker exciting and engaging. It seems designed to shock, to push boundaries of what is “okay” in romance, which for many readers is exactly the draw.
However, if you prefer romance where the power dynamics are more clearly negotiated, or where the heroine has more control and there’s less ambiguity in what is consent, this may not be your cup of tea. Also, if you are sensitive to stalking as a theme you might find some scenes difficult.

Arden knocked this out of the park! A great debut novella! A semi slow burn between the MMCs meeting but even before they do there is plenty of spice! Killian knew what he wanted and he made darn sure to get it. The chemistry between all characters is beautiful and there’s an HEA in the end.

A Masked Stalker is just that. A guy, who’s on the ‘bad’ side of things and a kindergarten teacher that couldn’t find the right guy until he became obsessed and stalks her. Killian’s friends are hilarious. I love those kinds of side characters where they pull you in just as much as the Main.

This was the first dark romance book that I have read, I looooved this one. I didn't know what to expect and it delivered! I have read this book about 2 months ago, and from there started the love for Dark romance and the rest is history.
P.S. This is a big compliment for the author because of this book I have fallen in love with Dark romance!

This was a good read, with an over arching plot that I hope is picked up in Book 2.
I don't know why you wouldn't mention to the police that you had a stalker who killed your next door neighbour and on and off boyfriend.
Maybe once you bond with an obsessive guy you get Stockholm syndrome and all well in your world.
Thought it ended a bit abruptly and would have preferred to know more in this book rather than Book 2.

I want a man who can stand on top of the building look through a binocular and say yeah that's mine
Killian definitely had me thinking he was definitely insane but he is this pretty dark guy and he is known for his work and he does some pretty shady stuff now Emily she definitely had me like you go girl she's not afraid to like kind of we're going to be able to live on the dark side but yet she can tell it like it is I thought this was really good definitely a good way to start out a series because you do get a lot of Side characters and what's to come and foreshadowing and I loved that so much I would definitely say if you're into the masked man and the peeping Tom through the window I would say the man can stalk you any day so just keep that in mind I will say the spices a lot

And then with each text message she got, you could see that she was more and more worried and the pit kept growing and yet she started to get a bit of a temptation.
But, there is no doubt that Killian sees Emily as his temptation and obsession, and worst of all she is a distraction that is consuming him.
I had such a difficult time putting this book down once I started reading it. I loved the secondary characters that we got to meet as they were brought into the mix. I loved Ethan who is nothing more than a pain in the butt to Killian and manages to get under Killian's skin. And Damien is just this nonchalant guy who grow up maybe even matured a bit and these three are just perfect for each other. They are all ex-military, brother-in-arms, all unhinged, and all you can ever crave and want them.
This book has its shocking moments and then there are other moments that you can see coming but you don't see them. There's great dirty talk and spicy scenes that were much needed and it was done in the best way that leaves you needing a cold shower.
This is honestly a rather quick and short read so it is fast paced and the plot, sub-plot, and storyline are all nice and smooth, the character development is on par and might actually be on the next level and you can read through this novella and have each and every moment with all the emotions in one quick read.

This novella was a fast-paced, spice-filled dark romance that leaned fully into the tropes its title promised. From the very beginning, it delivered on the tension, heat, and danger one expects in this genre, making it a quick but entertaining read. If that kind of story sounds up your alley, you’ll likely enjoy this one, but I definitely recommend checking trigger warnings first if you have any sensitivities, as the themes do dip into darker territory.

The book started off really strong, immediately drawing me into the dynamic between the main characters and the atmosphere of the story. However, as it progressed, the pacing occasionally felt too fast, especially during the climax. Some moments that should have landed with more emotional or narrative impact passed by too quickly, leaving me wanting a little more buildup and payoff. That said, the writing style and tone made it easy to stay engaged, and it never lost my attention.

One of my favorite parts was the found family element between the FMC and the MMC’s two friends. Emily’s integration into their dynamic felt natural and heartfelt, and their easy acceptance of her brought warmth to an otherwise dark story. Those scenes added an unexpected layer of comfort that balanced the intensity of the romance and the darker aspects of the plot.

Wow - this book was magnetic, I couldn't put it down. Killian is all sorts of obsessed, and when he finally has Emily 🥵!! These two were on fire together with a sizzling connection that just pulled you in, and left you begging for more. They were real and raw, giving in to their desire and need for one another, which made the steamy scenes so intense and crazy hot!
Even though this is a novella, there is a plot to the story as well - there's action and suspense, and I loved the banter between the friends!
I def recommend this book!

I could not put this book down. It grabbed onto me and wouldn’t let go, or more like I wouldn’t let it go. I am definitely obsessed with ‘The Masked Stalker’, and I know you will be too. You’ll feel the hairs on the back of your neck stand up; feeling as if you’re in the room with Emily. Your heart rate will become one with the action.
The next book in the series, ‘My Masked Savior’, is scheduled for release on December 5th. And, drumroll please….it is co-written with Selena Winters!!!

MY MASKED STALKER is a debut novella and the first in the Beautiful Stalkers series. If you like Dark Romance, with laser-focused unalivers, who are possessive and broody, you may just like this one.
Killian is on a job when he first sees Emily, and from that moment on, all bets are off. She is his, even if she doesn't know it yet. And as for Emily, well, she knows she should contact the police, block his number, etc. etc., but she doesn't.
The pacing is fast (as expected with a novella) but perfectly timed. The characters are brilliant and will definitely leave you wanting more of them. It is exceedingly well-written, with the connection between Killian and Emily clear to see. As for Killian and Emily themselves, I loved the banter between them, while the hotness was off the charts.
I can't wait to read more in this series, especially when Ethan and Damian fall! Just remember it's DARK, and you should be okay. Definitely recommended by me. 4.5 rounded up.
