Rate this book
She's a brat who can't come. He's a pleasure dom who's wanted her for years. They're a match made in chaos.

From fake orgasms to fake nonchalance, Jasmine Cannon has spent so long playing pretend that she has everyone convinced she's the fun, chaotic friend without a care in the world. Everyone except her best friend's new stepson, Liam Michaelson, that is.

Liam has wanted Jazz since the second he laid eyes on her, but when she agrees to be his fake date for his ex's wedding, he doesn't expect to fall into bed with her. Again. Not that he remembers much of the drunken hookup they've never talked about…

When Liam discovers Jazz hasn't had an orgasm in a decade, he's determined to be the one to get her there. But Jazz isn't as carefree as she pretends, and working through her orgasm-block causes her perfectly crafted facade to crack.

After years of faking it, Jazz has finally found someone she wants to be real with—now she just has to learn how.

Where's my art lover bisexual man who reads romance books on his kindle but buys the physical copies of his favorite ones, gets off on getting me off (🫦), cooks, is playful and silly, likes my messy self, gives me all the compliments even though I don't know how to take them, buys my favorite hair products after seeing them once to keep in his bathroom in case I feel like washing my hair at his apartment, is both rough and gentle in bed, validates my feelings and helps me talk about them after bottling them up for decades, helps me try all the little hobbies I've been "saving for later", thinks I'm so beautiful I belong in a museum, and defends me from my parents backhanded comments? 😩😩😩 Where is he? 😩😩😩 When will I meet him? 😩😩😩

“Love was beautiful chaos, and he was deeply and desperately in love with Jasmine.”

Now, that was all about Liam, but my girl Jazz doesn't stay behind. My soul sister who thinks she's too much of a mess to be romantically loved by anyone and that her new found family is going to get tired of her eventually, doesn't see a point in starting new challenges because she always ends up giving up on them, is somehow embarrassed of her life because she feels behind compared to everyone else she knows, hyperfixates on things until she finds something new to obsess over, thinks not trying is better than trying and failing because that'd be one more thing she fails at ―but who also has a heart of gold, is content with who she is and doesn't want to change to be loved, will do anything for the people in her life, and has all the strenght, resilience and potential even though she doesn't see it 🫂🫂🫂. I understand her so much it hurts 🫂🫂🫂. I'm the happiest seeing her accept all the love she deserves 🫂🫂🫂.

“Jazz thought about Liam's favortie painting: Nothing Lasts Forever. But they would. And Jazz couldn't wait to spend the rest of their lives proving that painting wrong.”

This was even better the second time around. Oh, Sophie Snow, you haven't disappointed me yet (no, this is not a challenge, please keep on not disspointing me) and I love how queer everyone in your books is 🙂‍↕️

Genuinely blown away by this authors writing! I absolutely loved it so much! My goodness this was a spicy book! Liam was such a sweetheart and I really enjoyed learning about him and his personality!

Jazz is such a relatable character and the struggles she goes through was depicted beautifully and definitively accurate for so many women around that same age! The way Liam helps her learn to overcome those struggles was beautifully done.

The friendship argument between Maggie and jazz were so realistic and their friendship is just so real and relatable for so many people. I loved the character growth that jazz goes through with her friendships and relationship.

Honestly this was a 4/5 for me! I definitely think there was something missing but I’m not sure what it could be.

I cant tell who I love more - Liam or Cal

where can I even begin with this one? sophie has YET AGAIN created another master piece.

We met Jazz and Liam in Legally Binding as Maggie’s best friend and Cal’s son, this pair has chemistry but when Liam learns Jazz’s secret they make a sex pact.

Jazz is such a complex character, she’s chaos, free spirited and (at times) too stubborn for her own good — all of which are probably coping mechanisms after growing up with her crappy parents. She sees her best friend moving on with her life and starts to freak out. I think we all have been there— I related to Jazz almost *too* much.

Liam is a perfect angel who must be protected at ALL costs. A man who reads smut on his own? Comes from a great family? Is a pleasure dom? Who could resist?

These two couldn’t be more perfect for each other. I loved their chemistry AND THEY GET A DOG!!

I can’t wait for book 3 but I don’t know how it’ll top books 1 & 2.

ARC REVIEW!!
⭐️ 4/5
🌶️ 5/5!!!

Where do I begin to explain how good this book was? Some context, in book one Jasmine’s best friend ends up with Liam’s dad and ever since Liam met Jazz he’s been absolutely crazy about her. 🥹

The book starts with them hooking up and after Jazz agrees to be Liam’s date to a wedding, the sparks fly. Until Liam realizes Jazz is faking it and makes it he’s mission to get her “over the edge” 😂😂

Liam is literally the definition of HE FALLS FIRST AND HARD. I love how patient he is with Jazz. Coming from a perfect family, Jazz is completely the opposite and all over the place. She struggles with accepting that she’s getting old and feels like she has accomplished nothing but Liam is always there to take care of her.

This book is extremely spicy 🥵 but it doesn’t overpower the romance aspect of it. Also LIAM READS ROMANCE BOOKS!!!!! 😭😭 on his kindle!!! SWOONINGGG 😍

It’s for everyone going through a funk/ panicking over change and having to accept that life changes the older we get.

✨ It releases AUGUST 13th ✨

GO CHECK IT OUT 🫶🏼

So, obviously, this is the second book in the series and while most of CR books can be read as standalone even if it's in a series, I wouldn't recommend reading this one as one. I didn't read the first book and should have because the MCs of this book were very present in this one too.

I usually avoid books where sex is the main topic, that usually bores me. Here, I didn't mind. Yes, I skimmed one or two sex scenes but it was overall enjoyable. I liked that the FMC couldn't orgasm at first and I wish there were more FMCs like that.
I didn't mind that the FMC was a mess, at first. I kind of get her, to be honest. But near the end of the book, I couldn't stand her self-sabotage. She was an awful friend and the MMC was a little too good for her.

I may not read the first book (I don't want to see a grown woman call her man daddy) but I might read the next books.

i was bored🫣🫣🫣
i was going into this book with high expectations and man did it disappoint me
the beginning was actually good i liked liam and jazz together and i liked the fact she couldn’t come
then she did and nothing else happened in the book
literally everything after the halfway mark was jazz having an existential crisis and liam cleaning up her messes
jazz was annoying
liam was just there he did nothing
the plot was weak
the only reedimg quality was its spice

I looooved "False Confidence" by Sophie Snow! Jazz and Liam, swoon! Liam is a top-tier book boyfriend. He takes the time to learn what Jazz wants and needs (in more ways than one). He is patient, sexy, and kind... plus, the mustache! Plus, pleasure d0m!!! Jazz has been told over and over again that she is not good enough in one way or another. She is complex, resilient but sensitive. Liam and Jazz fall fast and fall hard, but you never once doubt their connection. It is electric and palpable! Just terrific chemistry, what a terrific couple. This book is full of exploration, banter, and spice. Snow writes some of the best spice I have read! Snow also has this incredible knack for writing character arcs full of growth and overcoming various obstacles. The mental health rep here is also excellent! I also enjoyed seeing glimpses of Maggie and Cal throughout this book. I love every single thing about this book! It's a ton of fun. I cannot wait to read Sophie's next book!

Thank you to Sophie Snow and Love Notes PR for the complimentary ARC of this book. All opinions are my own. I was not compensated for this review.

Premise: Jazz hasn’t had an orgasm in 10 years. Liam is a pleasure dom who wants to help her conquer this. She’s also his dad’s assistant for extra shenanigans.

I’m enjoying the general storyline and the characters, but I’m not 100% sold on the writing style. Even though there aren’t massive time jumps, each chapter feels a bit like a vignette, which I find jarring (and makes the book easy to put down). I might continue this later, as I am liking the surprisingly low angst feel of the story.

Here we are, with Sophie Snow's last book. We have Jazz's story now and I've been waiting for this since I finished Legally Binding in February. We already knew our characters from the first book. I had already fallen in love with Jazz in Maggie's story and she confirmed herself as my favorite character in the Sophie Snow universe. I found her an extraordinarily well written character, free spirited and positive, and, most important, a relatable one. In particular, at this moment in my life I find myself sharing many struggles that Jazz faces and seeing her going through all of it, even making mistakes sometimes, comforts me. We saw her grow from chapter to chapter, always supported by Liam and Maggie, and when I read the epilogue I admit I was moved. Liam was perfect for her and her story, always caring, always ready to support Jazz in everything: You can fully feel his deep and true love for Jazz. This book doesn't have a complex storyline. The focus is obviously Jazz's healing process and the search for her true self, along with her relationship with Liam.

Another thing that absolutely works in this book is the spice. Sophie Snow was always been good at writing spicy scenes, but in this one she really outdid herself, she definitely knows what she was doing.

I had a great time, I love the characters: Jazz was so relatable and Liam was such a green flag. Their relationship was amazing, the pace, the communication

Safety notes:
- no cheating
- no OM
- slight OW: both characters go to the mmc’s ex’s marriage but he doesn’t feel anything + they met her again and the ex tries to reconcile with him but he makes sure she understands he isn’t interested
- H had a crush on h for 2 years, it wasn’t mentioned if he has been celibate

‘False Confidence’ is the second book in the Spicy in Seattle series.

Summary:
Jasmine is the assistant to her best friends husband, Liam is that husband son, so Liam is the best friends stepson and the son of Jasmines boss. We start off with Jasmine saying how she hasn’t had an org*sm in 10 years and after she tells Liam this Liam decides he’s going to help Jasmine out with her coming problem. What starts as a simple s*x pact between these two, becomes a real love connection.

This story had it all, it had romance, it had emotions, it had relatable characters, and it had spice. What more could you look for in a book so I suggest you read this book so you can also experience Jasmine and Liam’s love story.

"Give me a second, Darling. I'm committing every perfect inch of you to memory." ~Liam Michaelson

Jazz and Liam came and did not disappoint! I knew I was going to love this book! I read Legally Binding in a day last December when I got my arc and became obsessed with Sophie's stories! I'm honoured I get to be a part of her street team!

We first meet Liam and Jazz in Legally Binding Jazz was best friends with Maggie (The FMC of book 1) and Liam is the Son of Cal (The MMC of book 1)
We pick up on Jazz and Liam's lives a few months after the extended epilogue of Legally Binding, when they slept together for the first time. Both of them struggle to work out their feelings for each other, especially with the new family dynamics. But when they end up attending a wedding together they can't resist the pull for each other anymore. But when Liam catches Jazz faking an orgasm and she admits how long it has been since she last came, Liam makes it his job to help her and end her ache.
Will Liam be able to show Jazz how much she means to him? Will Jazz be able to accept herself as she is? Or will it all be too much for the pair?

Throughout the book, we get to see Jazz and Liam connect from a very deep part of themselves which just made them that much closer. I loved seeing how the friendship between Liam and Maggie had changed and how the friendship between Jazz and Cal had grown. I'd been excited about that for a while and it lived up to my excitement.
I liked seeing the dynamic between Jazz and her siblings, how it seemed pretty strained at first but when you looked closer you saw how much they care for each other.
Jazz and Liam's story was a lot spicier than Sophie's other books and I absolutely loved that! Seeing how determined Liam was to help Jazz was so sweet, he made sure he knew ways to help before starting the process.

The pacing was spot on, as it is in both of Sophie's other books! She knows just what to put where and how long to have between spicy sections! I couldn't put the book down.
I love Sophie's writing style. The way it flows is beautiful and draws you in so you feel like you are right alongside the characters experiencing everything as they do.

We didn't see much of Liam in Book 1, so it was nice getting to know him a little bit more. He is very like Cal but with his own flare thrown in. Seeing someone who was ready to take care of Jazz no matter what was so nice! Knowing what her parents were like having someone who would do anything for her was such a wonderful thing to see Jazz experience. I liked his scenes with Maggie, seeing how even with everything that happened on Legally Binding they are still close and can confide in each other.

Watching as Jazz get to experience the love and adoration Liam had for her was like watching a flower bloom! The way she grew throughout this book was so incredible! Her relationship with Maggie was the same as before but we got to see both of them experience tense moments which made it feel so much more real! And her relationship with Cal is so nice, the way he has embraced her into his family is amazing, same as with Liam's mums, but also just reading about how he made sure she knew he was someone she could turn to if she ever needed him.

I'm glad we got to see more of Maggie and Cal in this book. I think they are still my favourite couple but Jazz and Liam came close to overtaking them. We didn't see them much, but I did enjoy the few moments we got with Liam's mums.
It was nice meeting Jazz's siblings, her sister Rose and her brother Xan. At first, I thought they were a bit stuck up, but they grew on me and I'm excited to see them in future books.

Overall I adored this book! It was a wonderful afternoon read and I'm so excited to know what's coming next in this series!

"Liam had visited dozens of galleries, seen thousands of paintings, and Jasmine was a million times more beautiful than any of them."

Ahhhh another amazing Sophie Snow book!

This one was so spicy, while also deep diving into mental health struggles.

I loved the connection between the two main characters and I also really enjoyed that the two main characters from Legally Binding were throughout this book a lot! (As I love them all)

My favourite part of this book was how both main characters brought out the best in each, they were super protective of each other, caring, loving, and couldn't keep their hands off each other.

I devoured this one in a couple of days because I just couldn't put it down.
Sophie Snow is amazing at writing queer characters with extreme character growth, witty banter, laugh out loud moments, insane spice, and deep subjects. Her characters are so real and relatable too.

You get:
• Dual POV
• Spicy Contemporary Romance
• LGBTQ+ Representation
• Mental Health Rep
• Pleasure Dom/Brat
• Fake Dating
• Hidden Relationship

"I'm so sorry you've been dealing with this. I wish you'd told me. Hell, you know I see you like a sister, but I would've taken one for the team and given it my best shot." "What are friends for, if not for offering to help each other come during orgasm droughts."

I highly recommend books by this author! Pick this one up now, available through KU, ebook, and paperback on Amazon.

jazz was super relatable. she’s so me and everything she did/her reactions to things made so much sense to me because i’m the same way. i’m happy sophie wrote her the way she did.

and obviously i loved liam too!! he’s the biggest sweetie and so nice and understanding. he was the best!!!

i’m SO freakin excited for the next book! it’s gonna be SO good <333

I never doubted that Sophie would make me fall in love with MORE characters 🤪

Jazz - oh Jazz how I felt your internal panic so deeply. It hurts watching a character you love so much worry about her self worth. I felt this BADLY. The girl who tries to prove herself as fine is rarely ever fine. So thankful that Liam stands up with and for her, she needs someone to unquestionably love her for who she is. Also, can we talk about realistic periods for a moment? What an icon Sophie is for bringing such realism to the page and to give Liam a chance to really take care of her.

Liam - my guy, thank you for being the calm in a storm for all of us Jazzes. OBVIOUSLY he had to be as hot as his dad, OBVIOUSLY. I haven’t read the perspective of a pleasure dom and honestly? I love it and need more. Thank you Jazz for taking one for the team and getting him to prove his ability to…finish… without involvement 😈
Seriously though, Liam is the stable consistency that Jazz needs and I’m glad he stuck through it all. Jazz was more likely than even Maggie was to cause a third act breakup and he was having none of it - even if he could have discussed it first 🙊

Realistic characters, exceptional spice and full on DREAMYNESS.

Recenzja po polsku poniżej.

Jazz hasn't had an orgasm in ten years. And while it's a huge problem and that's where we start our adventure with Jazz and Liam, it's not the only important topic covered in the book.

Jazz is chaos because she doesn't want to analyze what's in her head - her parents' cosmic demands, fear of what she wants from life, uncertainty whether she's enough for her loved ones, and at the same time she often pretends to have everything under control. It is very easy to identify with her and feel all the emotions. The author even touched on the subject of a very difficult and painful periods, something that should definitely be talked about more. Liam, on the other hand, is the perfect book hero, there is no chance not to fall in love with him (girls, dude reads romances).

False confidence turned out to be a much deeper reads than I assumed. When I saw "brat x pleasure dom" in the tropes, I assumed that more emphasis would be placed on their sexual relationship. And here it turned out that the emphasis is on different relationships, not only Jazz and Liam. Maggie and Jazz's friendship is beautiful and unique, but Jazz's friendship with Cal, Maggie's husband and Liam's father at the same time - it was SOMETHING! After what I got in False confidence I will definitely read the story of Maggie and Cal.

I was surprised by the author's narrative choice, surprisingly it is a third-person. With romance it rarely passes the exam, but here the author's style was really light and brilliant. I love the humor in this book, it was unobtrusive, and the funny scenes perfectly balanced with the serious ones. And the spicy scenes? Each one was hot!

It was an engaging and emotional read. If you are looking for a book that draws you in and provides brilliant entertainment, with great characters to identify with, humor and well-written spicy scenes - this will be the perfect read for you.

A spicy sceny? Każda jedna była hot!

To była angażująca i emocjonalna lektura. Jeśli szukacie książki, która was wciągnie i dostarczy genialnej rozrywki, ze świetnymi bohaterami, z którymi można się utożsamić, z humorem i dobrze napisanymi spicy scenami - to będzie idealna pozycja dla was.

Such good writing! You think it’s going to be a run of the mill spicy rom com, but it’s SO much more than that. I have been blown away by both books in this series.

Liam is a treasure and Jazz is adorably, frustratingly relatable. I loved their love. I also loved that there was NO THIRD ACT BREAKUP. You could seriously feel one brewing the entire book, but thankfully never had to go through it. I needed that after Maggie, oh my gracious.

My one…complaint? It’s not a complaint, but it took me out of the story momentarily. How is every character in both books (at minimum) bi?! There are zero straight characters. This seems unlikely and makes it feel like the book is trying too hard to fit a certain mold. This was distracting, but such a minor issue. Hence…it’s still 5 stars.

I liked this one a lot more than the last one. Though, there wasn`t a AHA-moment which i love in books but it was still a good one. We don`t have to talk about the spice because we already know Sophie Snow kills it at this criteria. Also i loved the mustache hihi.

ARC Review: 𝐅𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 /5
🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ /5

This book. My dearest reader I don’t know how to describe how much I loved it. There’s so much love in this story. Sophie you’re great. 🧡

𝐋𝐢𝐚𝐦 is the embodiment of a green flag. 💚 He’s so sweet and had been head over the heels for Jasmine from the very first time he laid eyes on her. And guys, he read (spicy obv) romance books. 🌶️ (That’s explains why he’s so good under the sheets 😏) I think he’s the man of my dreams. He also set up rules to make Jazz comfortable. I don’t have nothing else to say, just where can I find him?

𝐉𝐚𝐳𝐳 is this girl who’s on the outside seems confident and that doesn’t give a damn about what other people think but on the inside she’s fragile and insecure of what she’s doing with her life. She’s scared of wasting her life and of not knowing what she wants from it.

This book teach us how sometimes it’s okay to be insecure but when there’s people around us that love us for what we truly are, then maybe we should start loving ourselves more. 𝐁𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐰𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝.

Another thing I loved the most about this book was how Sophie discussed the topic of feeling never enough for the society and how we underestimate ourselves for not reaching the same achievement dictated by it. We do things at our times.

I enjoyed the 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞 so much, and also the little family that Liam and Jazz create 🥹 (you’ll got a little cute surprise at the end)

Thank you Love Notes PR and Sophie Snow for the ARC ❤️

I finished the book a few days ago and the book is already out so this review is kinda late but here we go >>>

Sophie Snow is a new author to me and truthfully, I don't have high expectation for this book. I haven't read the first book so maybe it was the main reason I don't find this book interesting at first. I mean, the fmc with her best friend's step son? No freaking way.

After I found out and learned more about the characters, the writing style, the story plot, I fell in love with this book I couldn't put it down! We have the mmc, Liam, he's an absolute angel and he's so sweet and loving I want to marry him 😭😭 I also really love Jaz, the fmc who is struggling to find her confidence. I feel like her character is so relatable which makes me want to hug her whenever she feels so low 🥹

After all, this book is beyond my expectation. Not to mention all those spice moments between them two 😏🔥 I'd definitely read the other books from her and this series!

What you'd find on this book:
♤ he falls first and harder
♤ best friend's step son
♤ no 3rd act breakup

These two were absolutely scorching hawt! A stunning and beautiful couple, who pull you in from the moment you meet them 😌

Jasmine, our FMC, works for her best friend's husband and is his assistant (their story is the first book in this series).
Liam, our MMC is his son. Her best friend's stepson 🤭 We find out that Jasmine hasn't had an org**m in 10 years 😨😨🙉 And naturally after confessing to him, Liam volunteers to help 😈 What starts off as a simple arrangement, between a couple attracted to each other, turns into a love story worth fighting for 😌

Jazz is an absolute brat and Liam is more than happy to be the Dom to handle that 🤭 She's feisty, brave, bold, intelligent and beautiful. She's not afraid to speak her mind, and fight for them even if it means having difficult conversations with her best friend and boss. Liam is handsome, intelligent, brave, freaky as hell, filthy mouthed and possesive 😈 Exactly what you'd expect from him. I adored the fact that he wasn't scared to fight for her and their love. He was an absolute sweetheart 😫

This book was really good from the start. It was easy to read and the wording was captivating. I cannot wait to see what else Sophie has in store for us in the future. Thank you so much Sophie for the ARC opportunity ❤❤

This book made me laugh and cry and swoon. And the spice was fire but not overwhelming.

Premise: Jazz has always been the vibrant carefree best friend, never asking for much. Until after a brief stint as Liam’s fake date he discovers she hasn’t had a big O in over a decade and is determined to help (in a non-douchey way, trust me he’s the perfect man for the job). Then things obviously turn more than physical.

The caretaking was so sweet. To see the chaos of Jazz maybe blurting out an I love you met with the calm of Liam’s steadfast patience, it’s such a good balance of romance and spice. The hurdle isn’t really the O or the friends with benefits turning lovers it’s Jazz’s self discovery and self motivation to take things she deserves, to be truly seen instead of just distracting people away from the soft heart of her.

It’s definitely a standalone but I loved returning to the world of Legally Binding

I am happy to be on Sophie’s street team so I received this as an ARC from the author, all opinions are my own.

False Confidence by Sophie Snow is the second book in the Spicy in Seattle series. This book was filled with so much fun, love, and support. The found family in this story was very heartwarming. Liam was my favorite character in this book by far. I love that he has had a secret crush on her for years and jumped at the chance to help Jazz, who hasn't had an orgasm in a decade. Sophia Snow wrote Liam beautifully with his patience, understanding, and ability to help Jazz open up. Also, Maggie and Cal's relationship is still so cute and precious, and the support given to Jazz & Liam's relationship is so good! While this book was sweet and heartwarming, make no mistake that this book has all the spicy! These scenes were fun to read, and I love that Sophie Snow added an appendix at the end of the ebook with links to take you back if you wanted to read them.

My only issue with this book was Jazz's character. There wasn't enough character development or time to make her wrap up all of the loose ends and trauma, and it just wasn't super believable for her character. However, even with this, I still thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and the others that Sophie has written, so I recommend reading her books!
