If Silas St. Nick thinks I’m going to pack up my twinkle lights and peppermint-scented joy just because he’s banned Christmas in his small town, he’s in for a very festive surprise.

He thinks he can do whatever he wants because he’s handsome and rich, but my kindergarteners don’t call me Ms. Christmas for nothing.

This town might’ve surrendered to his no-fun, no-joy, no-garland rules…

But not me.

It’s time Grinchland took a stand against its Christmas-hating mayor.

It’s time for a holiday revolution.

I loved this author's "Christmasland" last year! I knew I just had to read this year's "Grinchland".

I was not disappointed! Anne-Marie Meyer created her own spin on The Grinch, with Clara, Silas St.Nick, Isabelle, and Dog.

🚫🌶️No spice, but just enough ♨️steam to warm us up on a cold Winter's night.

We have:

😠Grumpy x 🥰Sunshine

🖤 Enemies x ❤️ Lovers

🧑‍🧒 Single Dad

🎄 Christmas Lover x 🚫 Christmas Hater

I loved this book from the very first page! I didn't want it to end!

I also want to add that I read this immersively; reading the physical book while listening to the audiobook. Liz Crane and Matthew Cone did an amazing job narrating this dual POV book. It's very delightful and worth listening to if you're able!

Merry Christmas!

Grinchland was hands down my favorite Christmas book of the year. It had the perfect mix of holiday charm, humor, and heart, with characters that felt lively and memorable from the start. The story was cozy and festive but also genuinely engaging, and I found myself completely swept up in the world and the relationships. I could easily picture this being turned into a Christmas movie because it had all the right elements: strong characters, warmth, laughs, and that feel-good holiday magic. This is the kind of story that makes you want to curl up with a blanket and hot cocoa and believe in Christmas a little more.

Cute. Simple. Wholesome. Christmasy. Super cheesy hallmarky.

The main female character was annoying at time with her ignorance and the ending was so abrupt and quick…. But still a cute quick read (gotta hit my goal)

Cute and quick little Christmasy book. Enjoyed the story very Hallmark like but I didn’t mind it. Nice to read something short and lighthearted especially for a Christmas romcom! 3 stars ⭐️

This was my first by this author and her book was such a fun read. Nothing like two opposites attracting.
🎅
Clara loves everything about Christmas. Traditions, decorations and all the activities. She lands in Grinchland next door to Silas.
🤶
Little does she know that Silas is the mayor or why he and the town have banned all things Christmas. As the story unfolds you will be rooting for both Silas and Clara.
🎄
I love how Clara challenged Silas and his young daughter brings them together.
🎅
Heartwarming! If you love Hallmark Christmas movies, this is perfect for you. Thank you Meyer for the ARC. Looking for more of her books.

A sweet, Hallmark-style romance about a Christmas-obsessed kindergarten teacher and the single-dad, Christmas-hating, living next door mayor of the town she’s working in over the holidays. Of course, Silas isn’t Grinchy for no reason, as we soon find out, and though he perhaps takes the town Christmas-ban too far, he does so out of fear and grief. It’s actually really sweet that his town understood his trauma and responded to support him as best they could. As for Clara, she’s definitely over-the-top with her Christmas obsession, perhaps to an unhealthy degree, but she does bring a lot of joy and happiness with her. I loved that she found ways to highlight joyful parts of the season that remained special even if you took the word Christmas out of the equation.

There is, of course, a dose of unreality in a story like this - while I could absolutely see Clara falling in love within a week, it’s harder to believe it if Silas. Plus, he has a five year old! And he’s already asked his brand new girlfriend to move in with them? I did my best to suspend my disbelief, though, and in the end, it was sweet that Silas listened to his daughter, followed his heart, and even asked the town for help. Hopefully he starts seeing a therapist again, now that he’s had such a big breakthrough.

I have to also shout out Todd, the mayoral wingman and secret lover of Christmas collectibles. He and Clara are kindred spirits, and that whole convo about the murder basement made me laugh.

If you ever found yourself as a grinch at one point. Hardened by life and trying to save what little you have left by being "Grinch" even if your last name is ST. NICK.
Ever since Clara drove into town with her holy jolly moving box truck she has gotten under silas st Nick's skin. Being the christmas loving person she is. Clara wants to put the spirit back into Ginchland. Can she over come the obstacles in her way and give the people what they deserve?

This is my first ever ARC read and I was so I excited being selected for this opportunity.

I have alot of favorite lines in this book, I am only going to post two of them though!

"That wasn’t a cookie she was willing to bite."
I absolutely loved this one! like how fun is that banter!!!

"depressing to delightful. In fact, this entire town needed a holiday facelift, and I was the exact person for the job."
I thought it was really clever!!!!
This book really kept you on your toes and made you not want to put it down!

I really hope everyone gives it a chance!

What a heartfelt Christmas book. It had me hooked from the very first pages!

I loved the connection between Clara and Isabelle. Clara's passion for everything Christmas was contagious. I love a good grumpy/sunshine book. Clara and Silas have relatable banter that was fun to read. I highly recommend this book!

*This book was recieved as ARC from Anne-Marie. I was very excited to have this opportunity as her books never disappoint. Already pre-ordered this in the special edition box. I am excited to display with my book collection and re-read this gem for years to come.

Reviewing my rating scale for Christmas books because there is always something cheesy about them but that is what makes them adorable!
I liked this one a lot! I felt myself wanting more chapters as I got towards the end! Both characters are a bit annoying at times but it was easy to see past that!

Grinchland is a cute, cheesy holiday romance with all the Hallmark vibes you’d expect. It’s simple and light-hearted, making for a fun, feel-good read, though it’s not going to change your life. The cover is attractive, and the premise of a real-life Grinch story is a nice twist. However, the plot surrounding an entire town deciding to cancel Christmas for a grieving mayor and his child is a bit far-fetched—while the emotional weight of it is understandable, it doesn’t feel very believable. Still, it’s a classic “opposites attract” story, and if you're in the mood for something light and sweet, this could be a fun read to add to your holiday lineup.

❤️Blurb💚

If Silas St. Nick thinks I'm going to pack up my twinkle lights and peppermint-scented joy just because he's banned Christmas in his small town, he's in for a very festive surprise. 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄

The magic of Christmas has a way of finding you…even in Grinchland.

Silas St. Nick (yes, really) is the mayor of a picture perfect little town where Christmas has been… banned. No lights, no carols, no garland..just cold weather and colder vibes. Until Ms. Christmas herself, a substitute kindergarten teacher, powered entirely by sugar cookies and spite comes to town. When she learns about Silas’s “No Holiday” policy, she doesn’t back down..she doubles down to save Christmas, and bring joy back to the town.

Grinchland perfects that fine line between sweet and snarky, and will have you laughing, craving cocoa, and by the last page, leave you wondering if you can legally decorate a banned Christmas town. The perfect festive read without being too sticky sweet, with romance and humor mingling like they’re at an office holiday party.

Turns out, the best way to melt a Grinch’s heart is with relentless joy and good lighting. ❤️🎄

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thank you to the Author for allowing me to ARC read this cozy Christmas story. 💚

As a proud ARC reader for Anne-Marie Meyer, I had high expectations going into Grinchland - and once again, she did not disappoint. For a fellow Christmas-obsessed girl, this book was everything I hoped for and more!

From the very first page, Anne-Marie's signature charm and vivid storytelling pull you in. Her attention to detail is magical - you don’t just read about the world of Grinchland, you feel like you’ve stepped right into it. You can almost smell the cocoa, feel the snow underfoot, and hear the distant jingle of sleigh bells from Clara's little over the top Christmas house. The chemistry between Clara and Silas? Absolute perfection. Their situationship is deliciously tension-filled, heartwarming, and so real. Watching their relationship evolve was such a joy - every twist, awkward moment, and emotional reveal had me completely hooked. I found myself rooting for them with every page turn and didn’t want their story to end. I definitely need more Clara and Silas!

This is the perfect cozy autumn read to get you in the holiday spirit. It's packed with humor, heartfelt moments, and enough festive cheer to light up a Christmas tree. Anne-Marie Meyer delivers yet another holiday rom-com that hits all the right notes - sweet, sentimental, swoony, and seriously fun.

If you love small-town charm, slow-burn romance, and all things Christmas, Grinchland deserves a spot at the top of your TBR. Trust me, it’ll leave you smiling - and counting down the days until Christmas!

This book... Oh where to start with this book. I absolutely devoured this book! I started it late last night and stayed up until I was falling asleep and then finished the last 10% after work today. I couldn't put it down. I love the grumpy male character that is at war with a Christmas loving to the extreme female!

This book is about Silas who is the mayor of Grinchland. When a temporary teaching position comes open, Clara was called to fill in. When she gets there, she doesn't see any Christmas decorations and goes to work on making herself feel at home with her decorations. When the mayor see's this, it's go time! It's war! There is a bargain made and hopefully Clara will help save Christmas in Grinchtown. There are some twists of course and will love prevail? There is a reason why Silas hates Christmas and this book had me tearing up in a couple spots as his love for his daughter is so strong, there is no length that he will go to in order to protect her. Also there is a secret Christmas fanatic in the midst of Grinchtown that shocks multiple characters (plus I love this character). OH and Clara's cookies win over for sure. I want to say more but I don't want to give spoilers away.
Also the bonus chapter was such a sweet HEA that I gushed over!

I am so thankful that I was provided a copy of this book early as I absolutely enjoy Anne-Marie Meyer's books and this one, I will now have to buy a bookshelf trophy so I can read it again and again.

Ahhh! This was such a fun read, though I may have shed a tear or two near the end. This is 100% a grumpy/sunshine, opposites attract situation and I am absolutely HERE for it!

I loved seeing Clara’s love for Christmas and her explanations on why it’s her favorite time of year. For Clara, the holiday, every single event, decoration, and tradition has meaning and memories attached to it and she explains it beautifully. For her, it isn’t about the commercialism or presents; it’s about cherishing those memories.

To set the scene, and as you may have guessed by the title, the town of Grinchland does not celebrate Christmas! Not at all. Clara doesn’t know this when she agrees to take a teaching job for a few months and just so happens to move in next door to the Grinch himself, the mayor who outlawed Christmas.
The very first full day of Clara being in Grinchland and she’s already received a citation for decorating her front yard, you can just imagine how well that goes over…HINT…it doesn’t!
Clara is determined to bring Christmas back to Grinchland and in true Cindy Lou Who fashion, that’s exactly what she does…or does she?

Clara is a thoughtful, bubbly substitute teacher who is Christmas obsessed! She takes a substitute position as a kindergarten teacher, but has to relocate for a couple of months to a small town not fair from when she lives but when she arrives in Grinchland she figures out the name a lot more literal than she was expecting! 😬

Silas is the grumpy, stick in the mud Mayor of Grinchland who has banned Christmas and all things Merry or Jolly. He is a widowed, single father whose entire world wraps around his daughter Isabelle and keeping her safe and happy which earns him some points I guess lol.

The journey Clara and Silas go on, the love and joy that they share is so heartwarming. Everything isn't smooth sailing but Christmas is magic and Clara has lots of that magic to share with Silas and Isabelle.

Another beautiful small town romances for Anne Marie Meyer. Can't wait to see (read) what's next!!

I received an ARC copy of this book and thank you so much Anne Marie! Im so glad I didn't have to stay patient and wait for the book to actually release 🤗

Looking for a cute hallmark style Christmas Romance with Enemies to lovers, found family? This is the book for you!

This book was so good, kept me turning the page. The FMC Clara is a Christmas A holic, and when she takes a temp. teaching gig at a new town, that has banned anything Christmas related, she is bound and determined to get them to love Christmas again. She’s fierce and will stop at nothing to change the Mayors outlook on Christmas.

Silas, the Mayor of Grinchland has outlawed Christmas, residents aren’t allowed to celebrate or decorate for the holiday, if they do they get fined.

When Clara moves into to town, even temporary, they butt heads and she decides she’s gonna decorate and celebrate anyway and even after 2 citations, she still keeps going. Doesn’t help that the mayor lives right across the street 🤣!

This is a must read for the Christmas Season! And it has the sweetest little girl and the cutest Dog, so it’s a win win!

I loved Silas and Clara’s story so much! If you’re a sucker for a grumpy/sunshine romance—especially with a single dad who secretly has a soft heart—you’re going to adore this one. These two are total opposites but somehow just work together perfectly. The banter, the tension, the holiday charm—it all hit just right.

This book gave me all the cozy, festive feels and made me want to decorate everything in sight.

A Cozy, Feel-Good Christmas Read

Grinchland by Anne-Marie Meyer is such a cute, cozy Christmas read. It’s short, festive, and exactly the kind of book you pick up when you want something light and fun during the holiday season.

Yes—it’s definitely predictable, but in the best way. This is one of those stories where you know where things are headed, and that’s part of the charm. It leans fully into the Christmas vibes with humor, heart, and just enough sweetness to make it feel warm without being overdone.

The pacing makes it perfect for a quick read (or even a single sitting), and it delivers that feel-good holiday energy that makes you smile and relax rather than overthink. If you’re looking for a deep, twisty plot, this isn’t it—but if you want something festive, fun, and easy to enjoy, Grinchland absolutely fits the bill.

A great choice for curling up with a blanket, a Christmas drink, and a little holiday cheer.

Quick, easy, fun; an absolutely gorgeous book with adorable houses at the start of each chapter. It was predictable and Christmasy. But again with this author - she could do so much more. Her books are never as good as they could be.

If we are going to suspend disbelief, like there is magic, that is one thing. But we are expected to believe that 3 years ago the mayor suffers a tragedy and is able to bane Christmas? And then did he change the towns name to Grinchland? Like, if the main character Clara called it Grinchland, that would be funny, but it’s really the name? Then the mayor way too easily jumps onto a week long deal to see what Christmas is all about? He knows!!! It’s not like he hasn’t celebrated it. Why does he agree so easily? And really Clara, 5 year olds can put on the Christmas Carol in 3 days? The timeline is a little messy in my opinion.

There’s a lot of good and sweetness in the book, but I would have liked even more.

Anne Marie Meyer has another Hit on her hands!  She has composed a fun, heart-warming story around the joys of Christmas.
Silas, a self-proclaimed Grinch has banned Christmas in the town he runs as mayor. Nothing could bring more joy then watching the spirit of the holiday fly over his town.  That is, until Clara shows up.  She does everything in her power to bring all things Christmas back to the town and its people. Slowly, cracks appear and holiday cheer makes it way around town once again.
Characters were brought to life in a fun, likeable way.  We get to hear both of the main characters stories, which brings understanding to why both have drastic views on Christmas.  It was a wonderful story.  One I could not put down and neither will any reader.  A great read - especially with the holiday season upon us!  Highly recommend!

I enjoyed reading this fun book about grumpy Silas and sweet, sunshine Clara. It was such fun to imagine how Silas St. Nick felt when Miss Christmas aka Clara Snow rented the house next door and became his daughter Isabelle's substitute kindergarten teacher. I loved Clara's antics and how Isabelle loved her new teacher. The banter between Silas and Clara was so much fun and had me laughing.

The book also showed how Clara and Silas were both grieving, in two very different ways, after losing someone they loved. They were opposites. She was laughter, sparkles, and sunshine and he was grumpy and stuck in his ways with no way to move forward until Clara moved next door and broke the town's three year ban on Christmas. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

To say I loved this book is a huge understatement. I devoured this book in one day but forced myself to read it slow because I was enjoying it so much, I didn't want it to end!
Clara needed a job so when the opportunity comes to take a temporary teaching job in Grinchland it is a no brainer. She doesn't realize until she gets there that Grinchland was run by the Mayor, Silas aka the real life Grinch.
I was cracking up laughing and smiling so much while reading this but my heart broke when you find out why Silas turned into the Grinch by banning Christmas. His daughter, Isabelle... such a cute character!
Silas, sweet but grumpy. Clara, big ray of Christmas sunshine. I loved her, so much!
The brown tree... the penguin (hilarious).... the unexpected date planned by Silas... my heart ❤️
Wish I could give this book more than 5 stars!

“Grinchland” is the perfect blend of holiday cheer, small-town charm, and grumpy-meets-sunshine magic.

As an ARC reader, I absolutely adored this story! From the first page, I was hooked by Silas St. Nick — the grumpy, Christmas-hating mayor — and Ms. Christmas herself, the kindergarten teacher who refuses to let anyone dim her holiday sparkle. Their banter is sweet, witty, and full of festive tension that kept me smiling the whole way through.

Anne-Marie Meyer delivers another cozy, heartwarming romance that feels like a Hallmark movie in book form — clean, funny, and full of heart. It’s about second chances, standing up for joy, and remembering that sometimes, even a Grinch just needs a little love (and a lot of cocoa).

If you’re looking for a feel-good holiday romance that will leave you glowing with Christmas spirit, this is the one. 🎄💚

Anne-Marie Meyer does it again! Such a fun Christmas story. This is a great Hallmark type story. You won’t find a bigger Christmas fan that Clara. She temporarily moves to a fully furnished home but still needs a full-sized moving truck for part of her Christmas decorations….and she isn’t even planning to be there for Christmas! Little does she know she is moving to Grinchland…the town where anything and everything Christmas is outlawed! And to add to that, she is living next door to the man who outlawed it. Silas St. Nick hates Christmas!! He is even keeping all things Christmas from his daughter Isabelle. Will a seven-day challenge between Clara and Silas help him find the joy in Christmas? Will Clara see that sometimes she can be a little over the top? Will Isabelle’s love for Clara and her Christmas joy change this small town? Love this story!!! One click and check it out!
