An Intense Crime Thriller
Prison Break, book 15 (wow,15!) In the Ruth Baker series revolves around a prison break in which a whole wing of a prison breaks out, over 30 inmates, including "the most dangerous man in Texas" Joe Ripple. Rangers Baker and Tate are tasked with locating him when things stop adding up and it becomes plain to see that the pieces just don't add up. As they track Ripple, it becomes clear that the law enforcement agencies are compromised, leaving the Rangers with very few people to trust. This is probably the best book in the series so far, I love how few of my initial thoughts were wrong. The writing is every bit as good as the rest of the Baker series, with some of the best characters in the genre! Overall, 5/5 stars, highly recommended for any reader of crime thrillers and thrillers with high stakes!
