I bonded with a cursed wolf god who nearly killed me… and now I think he's my mate.

Archer was supposed to be a threat.

Cold. Controlled. Hiding something ancient beneath his skin.

He trained alone, bleeding under moonlight like he wanted to break.

I should've kept my distance.

But when I followed him into the Hollow, something inside him woke up—and it knew my name.

He almost lost control and attacked one of our own.

Then saved me with a single touch that lit up the forest.

Visions showed us a past life—two souls bound by magic, torn apart by war.

Three moments changed

- He let me see his nightmares

- He kissed me like it might kill him

- He begged me to stay when the divine part tried to take over

Then I found out the

He was created to ascend as a god… by sacrificing everything human.

If he finishes the ritual, he won't just forget me.

He'll destroy me.

This was dark with a lot of twists and turns. Archer is being apart. Constantly shifting form. Compliments of the lab. He’s not sure what to do. Fear of hurting people around him. Elira just wants him back. This was an emotional and edge of my seat read for me. Very intense. It’s been one heck of a ride so far in this series.

A warning, issued in good faith: Ravan Tempest is not writing stories that leave you comfortable. She is writing stories that leave you changed, which is a considerably more interesting proposition and a considerably more costly one, emotionally speaking. The Wolf's Forgotten Mate is the second installment in the Eternal Bond series, and if the first book bruised, this one arrives with the quiet intention of doing something rather more thorough.
Where its predecessor leaned into heartbreak with a kind of aching elegance, this entry turns the intensity upward with purpose. The darkness here is not decorative. It is structural, woven into the very fabric of a hero who is losing the battle to remain himself. Fractured between the man he was and the creature he is being unmade into, his grip on his own identity is tenuous at best, and the laboratory responsible for his condition looms over the narrative as a particularly cold species of villain. What keeps him from surrendering entirely to the void is the one constant his fractured mind can still locate: his mate.
And what a counterweight she is. Patient, fierce, and possessed of a love that does not flinch in the face of something genuinely frightening, she steps directly into danger not out of recklessness but out of a devotion so absolute it functions almost like its own form of magic. Her dedication to their bond is the emotional spine of the book, and it holds the weight placed upon it with considerable grace. Where he is darkness learning to survive, she is the light that refuses to stop finding the cracks.
Tempest has a particular gift that becomes clearer with each book: she writes hope not as a given, but as something her characters must earn through genuine suffering, which makes its presence, when it finally arrives, feel like an event rather than a consolation. The love in these pages is deep, stubborn, and entirely unwilling to negotiate with circumstance.
Three books remain in this series. The heart, one suspects, will need appropriate preparation for each of them.
Proceed with enthusiasm. Proceed with tissues. Proceed knowing full well what you are walking into, and go anyway.

⭐️⭐️⭐️️⭐️/ ️🌶️🌶️🌶️

Book 2 in the Eternal Bond series is dark and full of twists. Ravan Tempest brings us The Wolf’s Forgotten Mate. A short, shifter romance that once again pulls you in and doesn’t let go. Finding out what happened to our MMC kept me hooked on this story. Book 1 was full of emotion and heartbreak, but this one turns it up to 11.

Archer is barely holding on to his humanity. He is unable to control his shifting and the lab that did this to him has turned him into a terrible creature. He feels out of control, shifting between creature and man. The one thing keeping him “grounded” is his mate, who desperately wants him back. Filled with magic he doesn’t fully understand, his journey is one of survival.

Elira is the light that keeps Archer from completely being lost to the darkness within. The love she has for him drives her to step into the path of danger to do everything she can to save him. Her light breaks through every crack Archer has and penetrates deep within him. Her dedication to their bond is beautiful and inspiring.

With each book I read by Ravan the more my heart is bruised. Her stories, while dark, are full of hope for the MCs involved. The love is real, deep, and willing to go the distance to be there for your other half. With 3 more books to go in this series, I am excited to continue, but cautious as to what state my heart will be in after finishing each book.

As always, review any author notes before reading.

This second installment continues the overarching story that began with the dragon's curse, but shifts the focus to a new couple. Because the books are so closely connected, I wouldn't recommend reading this one as a standalone. You'll get much more out of it if you've read the first book.

Compared to the previous installment, this book does provide a little more information about the larger mystery and the curse. However, I still felt that too much remained deliberately vague. At times, it seemed as though the main motivation for continuing the series was simply to uncover basic details that had been withheld, rather than because the story itself was driving me forward.

The book has a distinctly dark tone, and readers who enjoy darker romance elements will likely appreciate that aspect. For me, though, the overarching plot still felt rather thin because so much of it depends on unanswered questions instead of meaningful progression.

That said, I did think this was an improvement over the first book. The story flows a little better, and there is some forward movement in the world-building, even if it wasn't as much as I had hoped.

Overall, this is a decent continuation of the series. If you enjoyed the first book, you'll probably want to keep reading, but I still found the heavy reliance on mystery and vagueness a little frustrating.

Can Archer be saved?

Our story starts with Archer running through a forest. However, Archer’s form just keeps changing, from man, to wolf to who knows what. He can remember the lab and what they did to him. They made him into what he is now—a killer. His friends and especially his mate, want him back, even though he is filled with Hollow magic. This is the story of what they go through to save him. This is a very dark story, filled with pain and terror and memories best left forgotten. However, it is also a story that will remain with me for a long, long time.

Book 2 of the Eternal Bond series. Books should be read in series order for maximum enjoyment.

'Then I found out the truth:
He was created to ascend as a god… by sacrificing everything human.
If he finishes the ritual, he won't just forget me.
He'll destroy me.'

The characters were very complex and compelling and perfectly steamy together. Plot was intriguing and intense and exciting and well paced. World building continues to excel and impress. All in all a great addition to the series. Enjoyed immensely and highly recommend.

Grab a copy, kick back and enjoy!.

This is a dark, atmospheric masterpiece. Tempest masterfully balances the horrors of Archer's past with the tender, desperate hope of his future with Elira. It’s a story about the cost of power and the strength required to remain whole when the world wants to tear you apart. If you want a book that will haunt your thoughts long after the final page, this is the one.

This book I feel intertwined with the first book, but it's their own story. Archer is more beast than man, Elira his calm before the storm. This book goes thru a lot, even though it was a short book it still has a lot.

His Choice
Archer and Elira. From the beginning, for all time. Will they survive what is coming for him? Will she survive being his anchor and keep him whole? Will love find a way through to the other side?
