Uzun süre sonra kurgusal kitaplardan cıkıp bunu okumak iyi geldi, Peter Higgs'in vefatı ile kitabın varlığını hatırlamam üzerine okumaya başladım, kitap son zamanlardaki en büyük keşfi anlatıyor, genel olarak kuantum fiziğinden bahsediyor, biraz ilginiz varsa rahat anlaşılabilir.

This short book has fewer than a hundred pages and is a clear and well-written introduction to the science behind the discovery of what could be the Higgs boson. Anyone very interested in the topic and wishing to go into further details will have to find another book which goes deeper into the mathematics and physics details, but this book is really great to start off. It can be understood as long as you have basic science knowledge.

Interesting book for anyone not in the field. Well written, explains the physics without assuming that the reader is an idiot, which is refreshing for books aimed at the general public. I did expect more details about the higgs itself, but given the target public of the book i should have expected the amount of background. Nonetheless quite a fun book to read.

Un court livre quoi est rapide à lire mais qui parfois reste trop généraliste pour être réellement compréhensible. Plus de graphiques auraient petit être aider. Par contre, ce livre contient des informations intéressantes sur l'historique de CERN, du LHC, et des autres projets dans le monde.

Fena bir kitap değil özünde. Fakat içerik sanki isteyerek sığlaştırılmış gibi. Higgs bozonuna dair etraflıca bir araştırma mevzubahis kitaptan daha açıklayıcı olabilir. Kitabın adı "Cern Tarihi" olsa amacına daha uygun olurdu. Biraz kandırmaca söz konusu gibi.
