This book was a compilation of a the prequel and first three books in the series so a lot happened. Wren is a barista who is dating a terrible guy who ends up being a cheater. Rhett, Elliot and Oliver are best friends, lovers and hit men. They are working on a revenge plan to kill the man that killed Rhett’s sister Sammy. So they are currently working for him to gain his trust. They stop by the coffee shop every Friday and flirt with Wren. She breaks up with her boyfriend when she catches him cheating. She goes to a masquerade ball with her best friend. There Elliot approaches and they end up leaving together. The night turns into a weekend with all of them together. They decide to make it work as a relationship. When her mom ambushes her, she ends up with Oliver on a mission and saves his life. One of the people who died on that mission had a brother. While the guys are out of town the brother kidnaps her. He keeps her locked up and repeatedly drowns her. Ludo (bad guy who killed Sammy) shows up and picks up a kid who helped her. He suggests to Oliver to get himself kidnapped. Oliver wears a tracker and gets kidnapped so they can find Wren. Rhett and Elliot do not react well because of an old mission where Oliver almost died. It takes a little bit but they work it out after they get home. Wren is struggling with being vulnerable and also bathtubs. Jordan the man who kidnapped her gets killed and they all relax. The book ends with her agreeing to go on their next job to Florida. It’s to watch Ludo’s fiancé while he has meetings. I wonder when she will tell them he showed up while she was kidnapped?

Wow this book was a trip. Ruthless Desires Vol 1 contains a bonus prequel, Blissful Masquerade, Perfect Convergence, and Undying Resilience.

Rhett, Oliver and Elliot are three hitmen set out for revenge.

Wren is the sweet barista that all three find themselves drawn too. They know that getting close to her could put her in danger but they find themselves unable to resist. Once they get her, will they be able to keep her and themselves safe from their enemies while they continue their revenge mission.

Rhett, Oliver and Elliot have been together for years bonded by their past trauma, their hunt for revenge and their love for one another. They have had an open relationship in the past but never brought another into their relationship until they meet Wren.

This was an exciting dark mafia MMMF romance. I thought the relationships and characters were really well done. Considering it was a why choose it gave an overall cozy, safe vibe even though the men were morally gray and a bit unhinged. There was never any jealousy between characters just open communication and understanding about each others needs and desires.

The characters were bonded by their trauma but it wasn’t just glossed over and forgotten. I loved the author included how each character was struggling coping with their trauma and they were able to do it safely without judgement.
The audio narration was really well done the only thing that could have made it better was if it was a duet narration.

The book was a little slow on plot in the beginning, but it picked up by the end of the book. I’m interested to see where the story takes us during Vol 2.

Ruthless Desires Vol. 1 was a wild, addictive MMMF dark mafia romance that completely took me by surprise. It includes a bonus prequel (Blissful Masquerade), Perfect Convergence, and Undying Resilience—and once I started, I couldn’t stop.
Rhett, Oliver, and Elliot are three hitmen bonded by trauma and revenge, and Wren is the sweet barista they can’t resist. Their relationship dynamic was refreshingly open, emotionally deep, and surprisingly cozy despite the dark themes.
The story starts a little slow but quickly picks up with high stakes, steamy chemistry, and solid emotional tension. The trauma elements were handled with care, and the spice never overshadowed the heart of the story. The audio narration was great—though duet narration would’ve made it even better.
If you love morally gray characters, intense poly dynamics, and a mix of danger and desire, this one’s worth the ride. Excited for Vol. 2!

Downloaded this volume of books on kindle meaning to read later and ended up devouring it instead. I am OBSESSED with these characters. Lord knows I’m a sucker for a dark romance but add in some why choose and *chef’s kiss*. I love how complex these characters are and how there seems to still be more to learn about them with every chapter. The relationship the boys have with each other spans over a decade and it is so obvious how well they truly know each other. The way Wren instantly fits in with them allows for all four of them to grow more together and separately. The way they all care for one another is heartbreakingly sweet. I can’t wait to see the next steps in their grand plan.

I picked this up not really knowing what to expect, and wow—what a ride. Wren gets thrown into a world of danger, desire, and three very different men, and it hooked me way faster than I thought it would. The mix of spice, suspense, and emotional tension kept me turning pages, and I loved the chemistry between the characters.

It’s definitely intense at times, and I wouldn’t have minded a little more breathing room between the drama and heat, but overall it was addictive and super fun to read. Excited to dive into the rest of the series!

Wow !! I have been listening to this story as it is also out as an audiobook and I LOVE it. The story has me enraptured with good plot, lots of HEAT!! As an audiobook it really brought this book to life for me and it’s not a short read which means for me I thought it was a better story giving it all the pages and length to best build the character and storyline….. BONUS volume 2 is out now and I don’t need to be left hanging and neither do you

Love all three guys' personalities and how Wren reacts when she's in danger 😅.

I'm so invested in the story that I cannot wait to know what will happen with Ludo... and it'd be great if I discover what the hell happened with her stepdad too. My theory is that it has to be related with her fear of the darkness 🤔
