A creative, visual way to explain Jesus death and resurrection using colors found in an Easter basket. The green egg symbolizes the palm fronds waves as Jesus entered Jerusalem on a donkey, the purple flowers symbolize the bread and wine of the Last Supper, and so on. Elliot liked it both at 1.5 and 2.5 years old
The lack of story quality is not reflected appropriately in the $11+ price tag this work boasts. I understand the target and the desired lesson that the author was grasping for, but it leaves the reader lacking in what the goal was actually.
This is a sweet, bright, and colorful board book for Easter. Each color in the basket is representative of something that represents Jesus or something He has done for us. Perfect for Sunday school story time.
A great book that explains the meaning of Easter in a simple way with great rhyming and rhythm. The pictures in the format of an Easter basket are fun.
Ours has sparkly colors for kids to touch as we read. It's simple and to the point but is a really great way of bringing the basket back to the true point of Easter.
This book has bright and bold colorful die cut pages that children will enjoy. The board book has sturdy pages that will hold up with little ones who enjoy turning the pages.
The colors of objects inside an Easter basket are used to help young ones understand the true meaning of Easter. On each corresponding page is a picture describing the events related to Jesus during Palm Sunday, the Last Supper, his crucifixion and resurrection.
The story is told in a sweet rhyme that is easy for little ones to listen to.
This book makes an excellent addition to an Easter basket, as a gift for a special child or grandchild and would be a great choice for a faith based library.
This was eye-candy for the kids, they loved the basket shaped book with all of the Easter treats dressed in sparkly glitter; they couldn't keep their hands off of it. I loved this book and how it related each item in the basket to something that occurred during Holy Week and how simple and appealing it was to the kids.
