A grumpy fae with a fatal allergy to sweets. A baker who can’t stop tempting him.
After my life implodes, all I want is quiet—just me, my aunt’s bakery, and endless buttercream. Then Cieran walks all storm-grey eyes, razor-sharp cheekbones, and a growl that sends shivers down my spine. He glares at my pastries like they’re his mortal enemy, orders black coffee—no sugar, ever—and everyone whispers he’s not human. Sweets are poison to the fae, they say.
But one night, he gives in. One bite of cake—and the sound he makes is pure sin.
Now he keeps coming back, staying late, watching me with hungry eyes as I frost cupcakes and tempting me with questions that get under my skin. Every brush of his hand, every stolen glance, feels like a promise. He wants me to teach him everything he’s missed—starting with sugar, ending in pure surrender.
I thought I was just baking cupcakes. But when Cieran finally tastes my lips, I realize I might be the one who’s truly addicted.
A cozy fantasy romance with a dash of spice and a guaranteed happily ever after.
This story was really cute and cozy. A new beginning for a sweet baker in a small town who meets a centuries old grumpy fae who had never eaten sugar. I truly loved the relationship they formed and how they balanced each other out so well. Enjoyable all the way through.
I’ve had such a hard time reading so far in 2026. I start a book but end up putting it down. This was the perfect short and sweet read I needed. Very cute. No drama.
