Burly bears Teddy and Geoff live a quiet and loving life running a bed and breakfast nestled in the mountains of Washington State. Over the past six years, The Bear’s Den has established itself as a thriving little retreat, a real-world escape for the big furry men of the bear community.
By contrast, Ciaran’s day-to-day existence in San Francisco is hectic, yet he feels lonely and isolated amongst the sea of people. Desperate for a change of scenery, he decides to drive up to Canada to spend Christmas with his family, and to sweeten the deal, he booked a stopover at The Bear’s Den, hoping for a small-town feel.
However, when Ciaran arrives at The Bear’s Den, he’s the only guest there. And after a freak avalanche hits the area, he, Teddy and Geoff find themselves trapped together for the holidays. With the trio in such close quarters, it’s not long before sparks start to fly. Feelings and libidos run wild, and the synergy between the men seems unstoppable. But can this scorching liaison live up to its future promise? Or will it all be over when the snow thaws?

4.5 stars. This is an endearing love story between two men in love since childhood who find themselves housing a guest longer than expected due to an avalanche and a blizzard. This couple runs a B&B geared specifically for big gay men in the mountains of Washington. Their unexpected cabin mate compliments them perfectly. They find that they have a lot in common and the sparks begin to fly between the three men. This is a very spicy MMM romance. One thing I noticed is that these men are obsessed with showering. Their water bill must be enormous. The one thing I would have liked was to see how Ciaran’s family accepted the new relationship he found himself in and maybe how accepting the townsfolk in Thistle were to this arrangement. If you like gay romance between “bears”, you are going to love this. Can I say, I’d be very interested in eating all the good food that was prepared in this book. The author should have included the recipe of those yummy Christmas cookies. I want to make them for Christmas this year.
This book is like a mug of hot cocoa—comforting, sweet, scorching hot, and something to curl up with on a stormy night. Utterly adorable. Zero angst. Just holiday vibes and a couple accepting a third. Spicy AF.
